I was working in the fashion industry at the time, and knew it was her responsibility to ask for a refund from her supplier. I remained calm, but instead of discussing it like an adult, she raised her voice to me and then said: "I have REAL customers coming in the store now," and hung up on me. These is not even so much about me as it is about my sister. She only had $100 to her name at the time and spent $20 on these earrings. I know how hard she worked to get them. To be honest and fair: They have great items there. I loved supporting them as a local small business before this happened. The girls that worked for the owner were also great. I would just recommend not buying any body jewelry from them unless you have a gauge wheel with you. It's been a couple years since this happened, but every once in a while something reminds me of it and it still bugs me.
