There are two large sections of this cemetery, one on the east side of Olentangy, one on the west a bit farther up. The east one is older, and a bit harder to get in and out of if there's any traffic. The west one is at a stoplight, and a bit more open and grassy. There is an office at the west one but I didn't stop. Both sections are nicely arranged and well marked. Peaceful, treelined drives - a bit wider in the new section- go through various areas. Well cared for. Sobering, sometimes touching. Woody Hayes and Dave Thomas are buried here. Their website has good maps and information. Between that and the app, graves are easy to find. Worth a visit.

The cemetery has become quite large. Many generations of my family are buried here back into the 1800's (my ancestors were one of the five founding families of Pickaway County). Visiting here is almost a park-like experience. It is quiet and peaceful. I think they only allow real flowers and no plastic, which also keeps it very nice. There is comfort knowing my parents and grandparents are so well cared for here.

They were very accommodating, making sure that he had the proper headstone, as well as a traditional military funeral. He got the special marker, noting that he was a serviceman in the Gulf War. He had the six gun salute, and my mother also received his flag and the casings from the gun salute. Its a huge cemetery, very old but eerily beautiful to say the least. I know my father is resting where he always wanted to be and even though I miss him dearly, I take comfort in knowing that he is finally home.

The funeral home was in charge of the funeral service and cremation. A horrific list of items was either not done or done incorrectly. 1. The viewing started late because the staff had not set up the room in time. 2. We had asked to have my mom's hair braided. They failed to braid her hair. My daughter had to do it. 3. The tribute video playing when loved ones entered the room to see her was a tribute video of someone other than my mother. They had to hurriedly switch it out. 4. We were told we could stream music over Bluetooth speakers. When we were ready to play her favorite songs we were informed they didn't have a Bluetooth speaker that day. We were forced to have a family member retrieve one. 5. We requested several locks of hair to be preserved because she was being cremated. This was not done before her cremation. They are lost forever. 6. We requested finger nail clippings be kept in order to preserve her DNA. This was not done before her cremation. Her DNA is lost forever. I do not recommend this funeral service for anyone. Their prices are low, but there's a reason for it. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and go someplace else. At this point, I don't even trust that the ashes I received are those of my mother. That doubt will be stuck with me for the rest of my life. It's not worth the couple of thousand dollars we saved.

Everyone that we have ever encountered was respectful and helpful. Some might refer to that as professionalism. I prefer to think of it as being kind and sympathetic during a stressful time in everyone's life. Such as when they picked up the deceased loved one, made suggestions for the final arrangements, to offering ideas for the service. And finally co-ordinating with the military honor guard, church and/or cemetery. Then within a short time after the burial, they sent us copies of the Death Certificate. The funeral home itself offers a lovely and comfortable place to meet and has a large parking lot. I highly recommend this funeral home for their services, quality, and value.

After another funeral service informed us they could not help us within 24 hours of funeral. We called Day-Manofsky. Rick Day put together arrangements in less than 24 hours and talked to us about alternatives. For example since our service was small, suggested we not do traditional police escort processional from church to graveside. Made it easier and saved us money. Spence Funeral Service in Canal quoted us price in excess of $6000. Day-Manofsky charged us $2378 for same services. Death of loved one is always hard. We felt like Rick Day treated us with respect, listened to what we wanted, and did not take advantage of us in a situation where we were vulnerable.
