I need a moment of silence for Swatch, which used to be here. I found this place by accident the first time. This visit, I wanted to look at the clothes. This is a convenient store for travelers. You can get an entire outfit (lingerie included) that will neatly roll into your suitcase or bag. They have socks, slacks, tops, shirts, hoodies, leggings and coats. The sizes are European so I would try things on. Many items were made of material that was either wrinkle free or dried quickly. There is a sign at the register that says you get a $5 coupon off if your first purchase. It is misleading because you need 24 hrs to get the coupon and you have to spend $50. However, if you buy a few items, the coupon could be handy. The app is "UNIQLO." If you are traveling to union station anyway, it is worth a look. Men's undies were on sale for $3.90. Socks were around $9. I bought two different tops with moisture wicking for $10 each. There is a large selection of items. read more

The clothes are fine. Neither horrible, nor great, but you can find some ok values if you search around. My issue is the return policy, especially during COVID, doesn't make any sense. When you talk with them, they are not clear about which stores you can return things to and you are apparantly able to mail it to any store for a return, but you can't physically bring it to any store for a return. If the system is in place to accept a return by mail at any store, why can't they do it in person? To Josselyn's comment, many, many, many stores don't have this policy. Examples: You are always welcome to return or exchange for free in any H&M store in the US, excluding Puerto Rico. J.Crew Factory merchandise purchased in a J.Crew Factory store may be returned to any J.Crew Factory store location within 30 days of original purchase for refund or exchange. I actually couldn't easily find others that didn't have that policy. I'm sorry, but when every online retailer and every other normal brick and mortar store makes it easy for a customer and Uniqlo chooses to make things difficult, it's just not worth dealing with them and you're better off elsewhere. read more

I love Uniqlo. It's my favourite retailer. So of course I had to find a store while I was in Washington. This location is great! It didn't have a great selection of athletic wear but it did have the new fall collection. Found some really nice shirts and my mom was able to find some nice print t-shirts from the Andy Warhol collection. Staff is nice, the store wasn't busy even though it's location is central, and everything is nicely displayed. read more

Stopped in on Thursday with my wife and kids to buy some t-shirts. The employee working the register was waiting on a customer and I was next in line with no one behind me. As I waited patiently to checkout the cashier looked over at me and said I could use the self checkout machine if I'm using a "card" to complete my purchase. I casualy said "do I have too?" He then said "Well your going to be holding the line up for other customers if you don't". I dropped the 10 t-shirts that I was prepared to purchase on the counter and said "let me make it easier for everyone" and I walked away towards the front of the store. I encountered a young blonde female employee near the entrance and briefly explained what happened and that the cashier was rude. She simply said "I'm so sorry for your experience". I love the Uniqlo at the Union Station DC! I've already shopped at this store twice. It's a great store to visit while waiting for your train. Beware because you could easily lose track of your time and miss your schedule. It's a small store with a large inventory, the shelves are too close together and it's too narrow, but very neat and organized so it didn't bother me much. You should just formulate your strategy to navigate the store. It was not too busy when I came and it was around lunch time. The fitting rooms are very clean - I like that a lot! The store staff are helpful and corteous, especially SHARVE. I asked for her name with the intention of writing this review. Sharve was amazing, very helpful, personable and GENUINELY interested to help and attend to the needs of the customers. I was carrying 3 large shopping bags from other stores and I was having a hard time shopping with all of my things, Sharve offered to keep my shopping bags in one of the racks while I shop and try on items in the fitting room. I shopped at the store for quite a while and I noticed that Sharve was very much the same way with every single customer she encountered. She was stationed by the entrance. I like everything that I purchased from this store. Prices are really good, even tho they didn't have any sale. I bought a checkered stole and a couple of turtle neck sweaters. My review of this bright and colorful store will be somewhat limited. The brand seems to not really cater to larger men. I went in for one of the fantastic looking winter vests and was dismayed when the typical XL size fit like a regular large. I was told that the clothes are more fitted than typical brands. Same with dress shirts. If you are a smaller male or do not mind absurdly tight fitting clothes give the place a try. I did get two very warm winter hats for about $9. Three stars...it is not the stores fault for my size needs. read more

This is my go-to UNIQLO in the DMV area. The employees here are always professional and friendly. Employees never treat me like I am bothering or annoying them, whether I need to return items or want to try on something in the dressing room. I have dealt with a very mixed bag of employees from Tyson's Corner, so coming here is a breath of fresh air for me. The employees and store manager are definitely doing something right. Of course, as this UNIQLO is inside Union Station, it is smaller than other UNIQLO locations, but they still carry a wide selection of goods. This location is perfect for someone who is actively looking for a particular product from UNIQLO and also for a traveler who needs to grab a light hoodie, a t-shirt, or even socks or underwear at the last minute. UNIQLO carries fairly simple clothes. If you need a solid-colored clothing item, this is definitely the place to go. They also have a very impressive variety of graphic T-shirts: they frequently cycle in new collections, such as their Pixar collection and most recently, a Pokemon collection. I would highly recommend their AIRISM products, especially considering this hot and humid summer weather. AIRISM products are very light, and dry quickly - so they are ideal for exercising. They also get some bonus points from me since they actually have sizes XS through XL for their Pokemon collection shirts, haha. The Tyson's Corner location had a ton of Pokemon collection shirts, but only in sizes XXS and XXL, since they sold out on all other sizes for all of their shirts! read more

I mean, Uniqlo is a decent store, the clothes is very confortable, not too expensive. Some clothes doesn't last a lot, but others preserve their quality. I was just breezing through Union Station to run an errand and UNIQLO had a table set up for their new space in Union Station. This was a pleasant surprise, I thought. And then to be given a few coupones for a free HEAT TECH shirt, I felt like I did that day I found a whole 20 dollar bill in Columbus that time. I found it Columbus style! But yeah, UNIQLO. I like the brand. I find their stores to be less chaotic than H&M and the brand, with its minimalist approach to be a better fit for me than H&M. Shopping at H&M will have you matching somebody you don't even know on the Metro. Yeah, I don't like H&M. But I do like UNIQLO and the new store looks nice. The space was where the FYE was but they remodeled nicely. Staff was very helpful and working hard to keep the busy store running smoothly. I came for my free shirt and left with it easily. Very efficient roll-out on the part of UNIQLO. So I give my first dip, Five Stars. I left satisfied and I don't have to go all the way to Tyson's for UNIQLO anymore. Hopefully this new store will be another addition to reinvigorate Union Station and that new energy ripples into some patronage to the smaller shops on the second level. read more

Negative stars if it were available. This is a review of Uniqlo customer service and not this particular store. Uniqlo has the worst customer service. I was talking to a live chat agent trying to make sense of the current pandemic return policy when she abruptly ended the chat. Currently Uniqlo allows store pick up of products ordered online but doesn't allow in-store returns. I picked up my online purchase at the store, tried it on then and there, found it didn't fit and tried to make an immediate return but the Uniqlo store wouldn't let me. The kicker is I can exchange the exact same product in a different size/color. The store employees (incorrectly, it turns out), said I could return the product to a Uniqlo in Tysons Corner where they said there's a warehouse. (The warehouses are in California and New Jersey, I was told over the phone.) Uniqlo's policies are absurd and hypocritical. They are ok with exposure while accepting my money but not when I am making a return, even in the case where I tried to minimize exposure by trying the product on immediately so I would not have to return on a separate occasion. After explaining this, the live chat agent gave a canned response about imperfect situations in a pandemic and supposedly protecting employees, and ended the chat with no warning. This is a company only masquerading as having a conscience and protecting its employees. They are allowing in store pickup and exposing employees to that foot traffic. But they are not taking the simple step to remove the return shipping fee of $7.00 that would protect employee exposure for returns more than anything else. Apparently COVID exposure is less important than $7.00 per returned item. read more

Cool. That was the first thing that came to my mind first time I came to the store. Finally a company that try to make things little different from all the the stores that if not the name you would think you are in the same one when moving from one to each other. They got into a mean market, and they grow and grow. And I am happy they do. When you see something good, you appreciate and wish the best for them. I am a Uniqlo addict, and now that returned to DC, happy to have them not far from us after the need to buy online when lived at the West. read more

This was my first experience at a Uniqlo. I ended up buying a decent amount of things and am happy with the quality--I'd say a very reasonable price point. One pain is that they only had size 34 pants, with the offer to alter them to a different size, which involves returning days later. Given how difficult it is to park in the area, that is quite an inconvenience. read more

Uniqlo is actually a great clothing brand, but this review is for this particular location. It's a shame because I've never had a problem at any of the other stores I've been to, but it's probably because they've seemingly hired anyone from off the street to work at this store, which explains their piss-poor customer service. I placed an order for in-store pickup last Friday for clothes I purchased online and expected to be ready by the end of the day. Since that didn't happen, I decided to wait a few days for the confirmation email informing me that my order is ready. However, when I happened to check the status of my order today, I noticed that my items apparently were delivered to the store from a warehouse somewhere yesterday, although I still haven't received a confirmation email. I went to the store to inquire about my order and was told by a sales associate that they didn't receive my order. When I told them that the order status said "delivered" they told me that my order is probably still being "processed" somewhere, instead of taking the time to actually check to see if my items are in the store. I was perplexed by their explanation because if that was the case, why does order status for the tracking number say it was delivered? Obviously, I was better off having my clothes shipped to my home since it's taken this long, so I told them I wanted to cancel my order. I was then told that since my order had not been "fulfilled" I couldn't request a refund, even though my items were probably already in the store at the time. Instead of going back and forth trying to convince these people to do their job, I decided to leave and call my credit card company to file a fraud complaint against the store; thankfully they gave me a credit for the charge while they complete their investigation. I'm really disappointed because I've always had a pleasant experience when shopping at other Uniqlo stores, but this particular location is terrible. The staff are incompetent and unhelpful, albeit it may be because of where this store is located. Perhaps there's a shortage of good quality people with decent customer service skills. Oh well, I guess I'll have to order their clothes online or go to the Tysons Corner or Pike & Rose locations instead. read more

This place felt like a subway car at rush hour when I went on a Saturday around 3:00 p.m. Wasn't wowed by the men's selection either.

I returned innerwear - top and pants- to the uniqlo store at union station two days after I purchased them. I put the items in the original packaging and had the receipt. I had not worn them but tried them on and they were too big. The "supervisor, Davon, told me that I could not return them bc I had "worn them." He proceeded to scold me and asked me if I would buy something that could be worn without underwear and that they couldn't resell the item. This policy was not explained to me when I purchased the items. He had a terrible attitude and finally let me return them. I'm not sure if that's the actual company policy, but if so, it's absurd and unusual. read more
