Unique Events was such an amazing company to work with. We planned our wedding in about 10 months and they made the process stress-free and manageable. We used their design, floral, and day-of coordination services. The design service was amazing. They got to know us as a couple, got to know our vibe, and then created a tailored design plan that truly incorporated every element we wanted and some that we didn't even know were possible! They stayed within our budget and did not pressure us to spend more. We were able to rent all of our needed items from them and used them for signage. We also paid for the set-up and tear-down services so felt incredibly stress free with the design of the wedding day. The floral was wrapped up in the design process and was also effortless. They gave us a full plan of which florals would be used for our bouquets and arrangements. On the day-of the flowers were beautiful and just as described. The day-of coordination was icing on the cake. Our coordinator, Kelli, was present for all of our design/planning meetings so it felt like she knew our wedding when planning the schedule. She was available to talk through all the details of our schedule and very communicative leading up to the wedding. On the day of my wedding I felt so calm knowing that the set up and coordination was in capable hands. I was able to focus on being in the moment and enjoy the whole day. They made clean-up seamless. We worked with Travis and the Unique Events team for almost a year while planning our summer wedding in the Quad Cities. We have nothing but praise for their work and would not hesitate to recommend UE's services to others planning a special event. We elected to work with Unique Events after a disappointing experience with another event planning group whose fee structure and policies were ambiguous, at best. From the outset, Travis and his team of event designers were responsive to our questions and took our interests, tastes, and goals for the wedding into consideration. UE worked within our budget to design and execute a truly outstanding event that felt personal, elegant, and seamless. A number of the vendors and countless guests have reached out to us with compliments for UE's exceptional service and design work. My partner and I planned the wedding from out of state, and therefore assigned a lot of responsibility to UE to manage not only their own design elements (incl. ceremony & reception decor, lighting, floral, linens, and numerous rentals) but also to oversee the "day-of" operations of eight other vendors. Throughout the planning process, Travis Newell's communication with us was prompt, clear, and courteous. He went above and beyond to ensure that the details we discussed were accounted for in revised event proposals and came prepared with questions and ideas to all of our conversations. He and the day-of coordinators even went so far as to meet with me (and one of the other vendors) at the venue three weeks before the wedding for a detailed walk through of the design and event timeline. The event coordinators, Ashley and Hannah, also provided exceptional service on the day-of, working tirelessly from 7am through midnight to liaise with vendors, party members and guests, and to attend to issues that arose. I was recently at a wedding and mentioned to my wife as to how good I thought the DJ service was. Normally I think they are a little annoying in a 80's tuxedo and cumber bun introducing the family and butchering their names. All the while trying to fill the dance floor to the chicken dance,the hokey pokey, and the electric slide. This guy played great classic music that was good listening and great to dance to. As well as newer more current music that the wedding party seemed to love. Yet didn't overdue either of them. I was so impressed I struck up a conversation with as it turned out to be with the owner Travis Newell. He said the company specializes in weddings but also does school dances, parties, and kareoke. If you are looking for someone to play music for an event for you, I recomend this company. They are proffesional and listen to what theor customers have to say. A+ read more

We were so happy that we chose Travis and his team to DJ our wedding last October. They were awesome and really taught us that a DJ does so much more than play music at your event. We met with Travis twice before the big day and worked out the flow of the day, how to move things along (no one wants bored guests stuck at tables), who would give speeches, etc. Oh! And what music we wanted played. All I can say with that is to TRUST them. Definitely tell them the vibe you want and some of your favorite songs, but let them "read" your crowd and respond to keep people dancing. We also added the photo booth at the last minute and I have to say it was the hit of the night! People went nuts for that thing and we ended up with a great photobook keepsake at the end of the night, plus a thumb drive of every picture. Worth every penny! Just bring lots of fun crazy props and Travis will, too. I really can't say enough good things about UE. I'd hire them again without a doubt. read more

We chose Unique Events to DJ our wedding and were incredibly happy with their service! Not only did they take the time to thoroughly understand our game plan and vision for our wedding, they also made suggestions on how to make the night run even more smoothly. Their confidence and organization really put us at ease. We felt like our DJ, Riley, was really running the whole show and really allowed us to relax and enjoy the night. We have been to many weddings in the past that seemed to really drag on due to lack on DJ involvement. And, on the flip side have also encountered weddings that had too much involvement, UE took the time to understand what level we wanted and executed it perfectly! We easily transitioned from dinner to dancing and the guests followed suit. Numerous guests said they had never seen a dance floor so packed! The catering coordinator at our venue even commented that the energy was amazing and wished all weddings had that same amount of enthusiasm and overall fun feeling. We owe a lot of that to Riley and UE- they really made our night everything we dreamed of! The music selection was perfect and we received a lot of compliments!
