Mom and daughter team own the store, they are so helpful and sweet!

We loved the beautiful rings we bought from unique jewelry. They were handmade by local artisans, super stylish, and cool! A great mother, daughter team runs the store, they're super helpful and willing to do anything custom that you need, to resize anything to fit. Definitely recommend if you want to find some thing no one else has.

Can't wait for payday...

Impressive selection not just in quality but also price. Solid silver pieces sold by weight, many artist-signed. Appropriately named, Unique Jewelry is interestingly and comprehensively curated with specialization in beautiful and unique gemstones set in .925 silver. I was attended to by daughter/manager Liz who was friendly, informative, patient and anything but pushy. I believe her prices to be quite fair and definitely see repeat visits in my future. 12/2017 Update: Liz is still reigning champion of the gemstone game. She's widely knowledgeable and enjoys sharing whatever she can about each individual piece.

This shop is amazing! I read the reviews on Yelp, Trip Advisor and other sites as well. This store always came out on top, plus it was 2 blocks from our casa. Stopped in to look at Mexican Fire Opals and received a great lesson about them. Liz then showed me a beautiful, one-of-a-kind tourmaline designed by her mother. I was sold! It's beautiful, well made and fits my likes perfectly, and she provided the re-sizing within a day. Don't waste you time anywhere else in PV - this is your jewelry store! Liz is helpful, knowledgeable, and with a no-pressure sales style that I really appreciated. She greeted my daughter and me after our first visit like old friends. The jewelry is just beautiful, affordable and so diverse with many stones, styles and settings. Go see Liz and tell her Marianne and Anna sent you! Thanks Liz! Love my ring!

So I'm not one to post often on Yelp unless I have strong feelings one way or another. I'm from OC,Ca and my friend I'm traveling with is from Durham,NH. We happened upon this wonderful establishment today and what a joy. Besides the merchandise being beautiful; authentic silver and gold jewelry with exceptional service and prices, it was SUCH a pleasure to be respected as customers. Neither Liz, nor her brother Aldo nor their mother, Joanna pushed anything. They were so calm, pleasant and treated us as guests. It was so refreshing not to have to negotiate in Mexico. Particularly since they were more than reasonable with their pricing and actually did a great job to accommodate our budgets. Unique Jewelry is off the beaten path not far from the boardwalk , Lady of Guadalupe Church and Zona Romantico. Truly a gem within the beautiful city of PV.

Had such a fantastic experience! Liz and her mom were incredibly welcoming, continuously told me to make myself at home, and touch or look at whatever pieces caught my eye. I told them the type of natural stone rings I was looking for and they opened an entire case and let me try tons of them on... I settled on a gorgeous turquoise ring, but I disliked that it was adjustable (I was worried it might get bent, break, or slip off my finger). Liz and her mother measured the finger I wanted to wear it on and did a custom alteration in only a few hours (normally they need a full day, but they managed to come through with really expedient customer service since I was leaving PV the following day). As everyone else has noted, their prices are very reasonable-- I estimate I would have paid double for the same ring in the US. I would not hesitate to come shop at Unique Jewelry again-- and if I do, there is no way I'm only leaving with one piece!

If you're in Puerto Vallarta and appreciate craftsmanship, heritage, and genuinely kind service,…read moreyou have to visit Alberto's Jewelry. My wife and I stopped in while wandering town and had the pleasure of meeting Edson, the third-generation jeweler in the family. He shared the story of how his grandfather, Alberto, founded the business many years ago, how his father carried it forward, and how he and his brother Emersson now proudly run it. There's something special about buying from a family that truly lives its craft. Edson also told us about their second shop a couple of streets away, so of course we wandered over. That's where I spotted a few pieces that really caught my eye. We meant to circle back... but as vacation goes, we ended up on the other side of town and ran out of time. No problem at all. I messaged them on Instagram, and Emersson immediately replied saying he'd be happy to bring the necklace to where we were staying. That level of service alone deserves applause. He showed up right as we were having dinner, discreetly stepped aside with me, pulled out his credit card machine, and within minutes we had finalized everything. Seamless. Professional. Incredibly accommodating. I should mention too, the pieces are very fairly priced for quality silver and original designs. I walked back to our table and put on my new necklace right there. It's a beautiful silver piece, originally designed by grandfather Alberto himself. Knowing the history behind it makes it even more meaningful. We'll absolutely be doing more business with them, and Emersson let us know they're happy to ship to our home in the LA area. Old-world craftsmanship with modern customer service. Love Alberto's. 5 stars!

I came in just to browse while my husband was at the circle bar outside. They had so much beautiful jewelry. They sell by the weight of the silver. I bought a lot of earrings for my family members and a pair of opal ones for myself. I loved a bracelet they had there, too. But I couldn't afford it. Since I had bought so much, he ended up giving it to me for free. If you're in the area, definitely stop here! They even give you free beer while you browse!

I bought a fire opal n silver necklace w matching earrings, they started at $2,000 I didn't want to spend that kind of money as I already have too much jewelry of all types, the dude was following me for so long n finally offered me an offer I could not refuse, he threw in a beautiful multicolor bracelet n lowered the price to $790. The following day, I tried to wear my pink necklace, it fell apart because 1 link was not welded properly, I called Aviles, they were closed Sunday n open just 1/2 a day Monday. needless to say I was very upset as we were going home Tuesday morning. I love the bracelet n wanted a matching multicolor necklace, I went into this Moon n Sun store located inside the flea market, Jorge, the owner was so friendly but not too overbearing, he offered to fix my pink necklace for free, on top of that he offered to remove 2 links also for free so my bracelet would fit perfectly, provided I of course buy the multicolor necklace for an unbeatable price of $350. Jorge was the nicest n most courteous person, you know you won't get ripped off!! The following day I returned to pick up the repaired jewels, I met his son who owned the jewel store a few doors down, he offered to sell me a matching multicolor earrings for $45, I regretted not buying it then, later I bought a fake silver w real opal on the malecon for $10. So anybody wanting to buy beautiful opal jewels, come here, this jeweler designed unique jewels n you don't have to haggle too much. I was so grateful I found him as it would be impossible to get the necklace repaired back home. If I come back to puerto Vallarta next year, I'll definitely come back for more. A solid 5 stars!!!

What began as an exciting purchase quickly turned into a 9-week ordeal just to receive the original order, an unacceptable delay by any standard. When the item finally arrived, it was damaged, and that's when things went from bad to worse. Customer service has been consistently unresponsive and ineffective. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I was met with vague answers, endless excuses, and ultimately no real support. Even more concerning, Sebastian Segovia, the Head of Customer Service, was involved and still failed to provide any meaningful resolution. To make matters worse, the company initially offered complimentary piece as compensation, only to backtrack and withdraw that offer without explanation. Since then, communication has essentially stopped altogether. The lack of accountability extends to the top. CEO Pedro Avilés has been entirely absent and unresponsive throughout this process, which speaks volumes about the company's leadership and priorities. Between the excessive delays, damaged goods, broken promises, and complete lack of follow-through, this has been one of the worst customer experiences I've had. Proceed with extreme caution.

About six months after purchasing, the opal started to degrade and there was clearly a flax. I asked for the manager and he was a joke too. Horrible customer service and I do not recommend this store.

On the corner of Calles Carranza and Vallarta in Old Town, Taxco Exporta Jewelry is one such shop. I affectionately nicknamed my GF "Mexico's favorite customer" because despite being in a culture where commerce is based on negotiation, she cannot help but pour over merchandise with glee, exclaiming "It's SO BEAUTIFULLLL!!!" And yeah, I'm pretty much fugazi at that point. Bargaining position: blown! So was the sitch at Taxco Exporta Jewelry. We were drawn inside by the dramatic silver sculpted animals and mermaids and found lots of pretty, sparkly things to delight her. The sculpted work in particular is astounding and powerful. We spoke with Eric (pronounced the Spanish way), who explained that the larger pieces are bonded silver over a porcelain figurine, touched up in places with paint. The results are stunning. My GF tried on some beautiful pieces, necklaces and really large rings, mainly. Prices are in USD and, while low by US standards, still exceeded our souvenir budget. We'd already picked up a ring by Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante, which she absolutely loves. Eric did try his best to find a price that would suit us for the piece she liked the most because, you know, it was "SO BEAUTIFULLLL!!!", lol. It just wasn't the right time for us. On our next visit to PV, it's likely we will bring some more USD and revisit Taxco Exporta!

I have attempted to call with no luck, there's no website and I haven't received a reply to my email. This place in contract with certain tour companies and that's how they operate, attending to hundreds of people a day. I'm very upset and sad because this belt buckle was a special gift for my son's birthday...a very disappointing purchase
