The Rios brothers (no relation to me, but a cool coincidence) did not have my size shoe so they made two pair for me custom, starting with measurements and an outline of my foot. Two days later I slipped into these lovely pups and fell in love. Not only to they fit my foot like a glove, but they made them with the leather and color that I picked out. Let's just say I told them to keep that pattern of my feet because I will be a life long customer! Now, these are traditional shoes and not finished like Italian leather, so keep that in mind, but for two pairs of shoes I paid less than $100 US. I will post photos soon, but very highly suggested!

I shopped around the area and Cassandra's shop had the best price and quality in the area. I got a silver bracelet there for $30 CAD, they even resized it for me to fit my wrist since I wanted a tighter fit. I got also a custom silver necklace with my name written in cursive here, the name and chain came to about $120-130 CAD. I'm very happy with the items and the service that I received. Everyone at the store really took their time to help me create the perfect necklace that I was looking for, from the font style and size, to the length of the chain, I requested extra loops to be added to the chain so that I could wear it at different lengths and they were able to accommodate that request as well. Aside from being a wonderful jelewry place, Cassandra also rescues and rehome chihuahuas here. I definitely recommend checking out the store, you could end up with beautiful jelewry and maybe even a new furry friend.

My wife and I stopped in while wandering town and had the pleasure of meeting Edson, the third-generation jeweler in the family. He shared the story of how his grandfather, Alberto, founded the business many years ago, how his father carried it forward, and how he and his brother Emersson now proudly run it. There's something special about buying from a family that truly lives its craft. Edson also told us about their second shop a couple of streets away, so of course we wandered over. That's where I spotted a few pieces that really caught my eye. We meant to circle back... but as vacation goes, we ended up on the other side of town and ran out of time. No problem at all. I messaged them on Instagram, and Emersson immediately replied saying he'd be happy to bring the necklace to where we were staying. That level of service alone deserves applause. He showed up right as we were having dinner, discreetly stepped aside with me, pulled out his credit card machine, and within minutes we had finalized everything. Seamless. Professional. Incredibly accommodating. I should mention too, the pieces are very fairly priced for quality silver and original designs. I walked back to our table and put on my new necklace right there. It's a beautiful silver piece, originally designed by grandfather Alberto himself. Knowing the history behind it makes it even more meaningful. That's what Plaza Caracol is. There really aren't any stores worth visiting for, but wandering around is kind of like going back in time.
