On both occasions I've found the staff to be attentive, friendly, responsive and very personable. They have gone out of their way to find something to meet my needs and it makes me feel as if I am getting careful attention. The store is not vast, but the atmosphere is very pleasant. Looked at me like I was a waste of his time and spoke to me in dismissive and somewhat arrogant tones. Other business very helpful and laughed at J Farren Price's apparent ignorance that the cheapest and easiest option for me was to send the watch directly to the maker. The other business offered to service it but said it would cost more if they did it. So much for J Farren Price being the boutique watch specialists. My husband was thinking of going to them to buy me an expensive Omega for my 55th. I advised him to go elsewhere.

When walking into this store, the lovely lady owner asked me if I'd ever been in there before, after I said no she went on to tell me about the store and their stock. The first thing she pointed out was that 98% of the items they had in stock, were French, and the other 2% are from somewhere else in the world. This impressed me straight away, what impressed me even more was that when she showed me a particular case filled of absolutely amazing jewellery items which I nearly shed a tear at their beauty, she told me that they were the only ones available in Australia. They were the only store that some French jewellers send their items too, increasing their beauty and awesomeness 100%. I fell in love. It's definitely a store with character, with some of the loveliest staff I have ever seen. This family business is very warm and welcoming and just stunning. What's better? For beautiful and unique jeweller - it's actually not overly expensive. Some of the stuff can get up there, but there's always something you will find that you will love in a decent price range when it comes to jewellery. To get a good example of the prices you will be paying for an amazing store like this, have a look at the website, as they have an online shopping section. Having said that however, the jewellery here is fairly nice and kept simple, with sterling silver displays being the stores trade mark. I have bought some nice gifts from here in the past, and they have been all reasonably priced. They also gift wrap. Best for simple rings, necklaces and bracelets. Put simply, sterling silver and white gold jewellery pieces of all sorts!

I even called to speak to a consultant before making the purchase to discuss the purchase. After one week I heard nothing, so I called to follow up & was promised a call back. I didn't get one, so the next day, I followed up again. Finally, I was told that someone else sold the item I bought & there was no other one available. What would've happened if I didn't follow up? As if that wasn't bad enough, I was then offered a lab grown diamond in place of the natural diamond product I purchased!! I offered other suggestions but was met with a rigid response, so I asked to speak to the online manager to work through a solution. She didn't even have the care to manage a phone call to resolve the situation. Just a throw away email a day & a half later. Now, nearly 10 days after my purchase, I receive an email advising that I'll get a refund.. which will take up to another 10 days. That's nearly 3 weeks before I can shop for an alternative, which means I will likely run out of time & have no present for a milestone anniversary. Thanks for turning a moment of celebration into a moment of stress Shiels!! Clearly we have different ideas of what "the leading jewellery retailer in Australia" means.

From Tolstoy to lurid paperback novels from the '50s, there's bound to be something for book geeks in here, and the staff are also lovely and helpful.

Hence Pari pieces are usually found in a range of soft and feminine colours. I like Pari because I find that the items fit rather nicely into the clothes likely (slash desirably) found in my wardrobe. The décor is also nice, with a black chandelier, white walls and (floating) floorboards depicting a pretty and fresh yet feminine sort of vibe. Another perk is the price, with many items here including dresses, tops and shorts are only around the $25 range, and it is possible to shop via the Pari facebook page upon request.
