Still took 17 minutes from the time I pulled up until my deposit was made. I also had to remind the young man at the drive thru to give me my deposit slip bc as soon as the slip processed and printed, he left it in the machine and began looking at his phone. I had to bring his attention to giving me my receipt. City National Bank of Teays Valley, please higher competent people who are interested in serving the community. This experience is getting old.

i took a state farm check up there to cash and they wouldn't cash it they told me to sign it over…read moreto my son-in-law law which had account there so i did that then they say they can't cash it because i don't have a phone registered to me .so they are just holding a 16000 dollar check they don't care that i have a grand child that has to go to Cincinnati hospital just about every month because she has D George syndrome so she is sick a lot and now i don't even know how iam going to get the money out of there to get a car state farm was going to write me another check but they can't because chase has cashed the check and this has been going on for a month now i can show my id and my deed to my house but not good enough so my next step is to go talk to the state auditor about it and see what i have to do to get my money

This is why big banks should fail. Someone wrote me a check on this bank. They would not cash it…read morebecause I do not have an account with them unless I would pay $8. As a bank they should honor all checks wrote against them whether or not the person cashing it has an account with them. Its not like I brought a check wrote on one of their competitors and asked them to cash it. They should at the very least have a fee schedule that is structured appropriately and proportionally to the size of the check being cashed. Asking for $8 on a $100 check is 8% of the check. Thats just wrong. If it had been a reasonable charge I wouldnt even be posting here. All customers of this bank should be aware that Chase will not make service on the checks you write without an $8 fee to the person you wrote it too. Look for a new bank. This is dirty.
