The tellers have personalities and really know their business. One day in particular I used the drive thru but the tube wasn't working. The teller came in the speaker and said " I'll be more than happy to come out and take your transaction". WHO DOES THAT????? I told her that wasn't necessary, I'll come in. Really? You know the reps who mumble, can't speak English, and ask you a question when you just game them the answer? Yeah I got that one. Okay, so I decided to drive to the branch on Broad Street in Manchester. Oops, guess what their own website is wrong, and there is no branch on Broad Street. Okay, so I then drive to the South Windsor branch. A loan takes all of 5 minutes to do online. The longer part would be setting up the account because per the mumbling rep I had to be a customer despite being offered a loan before. Whatever. So after being misdirected to Manchester, I still got to South Windsor with half an hour before the branch closes. I told them what I needed. They asked if I had an appointment despite the fact I see two customer service reps at desks, and only one had a customer. I said no. They asked me to schedule an appointment. I told them forget it, and that I was going with Discover which already approved me for a loan. I was just going for a better rate. I guess Santander likes to treat customers like crap, and doesn't like making money on interest.
