The firm is the centre of a few catalogues like gratton, newlook, fashion world and a few others. The staff who take your calls for orders or whatever are very friendly and efficient and deal with you with respect which is nice. The catalogue is a good way of buying goods you couldnt normally afford and pay over weekly terms - you can pay by internet, cheque or over the phone which is convenient. You can order over the internet, post or phone and their delivery times are pretty decent - ive ordered by internet and had them come the next morning. A very good efficient run firm with nice products to choose from like fashion and household and toys.

As it was St. Patrick's Day when I popped in for a browse, they had gone all out and painted all of their windows with Ireland-related imagery including a leprechaun, loads of clover leaves, a pint of guiness, a harp, a pipe and the joful phrase 'Top O The Mornin To Ya!'. It all looked rather festive and amusing! I assume one of the staff is Irish! The shop is much bigger than it appears outside, with an extensive range of carpets, small bathroom mats and a wide variety of rugs in many different sizes, colours and styles. Perfection Carpets provide a free carpet fitting service with all carpets bought, which saves money and hassle for the customer. Other flooring ranges from tasteful, shiny wood to my personal pet hate, laminate flooring, and probably even worse, lino designed to look somewhat unconvincingly like wood, though I don't blame the shop for selling this as I know many people seem to somehow think these types of flooring are a good idea! The staff seem friendly and knowledgeable and clearly have a sense of humour!

It might seem like small minded fun but it's nice to have an aimless wander and a natter with something none-too-challenging to browse whilst doing so. Think of it like watching Hollyaks whilst eating your tea, or similar. Something a little 'dumbed down' to eat to and then you can go back to some serious thinking. My friend and I wandered into KD Carpets and we were met by a sea of samples. Samples of all different finishes, styles and well, the colour range was mostly in the naturals and beige department. But then, unless you are my Dad and want a sort of sunset terracotta colour, I imagine most people would want something natural to go with all kinds of furnishings. They also had a number of different laminate options for kitchens and bathrooms too, so on the flooring front it seemed as though all bases were covered. It seemed as though the more expensive the carpet the smoother the feel was, with the 'festival' sample (£11.99) feeling a little more rough to the touch than the 'sensation' (£17.99). All in all we didn't stay too long, as we were only browsing, but it seemed like a fairly extensive carpet shop. They had a range of pretty decent looking mattresses too so it's a pretty handy shop to know about if you are kitting your house out! They are also open 7 days a week, and the chap in there seemed really nice and friendly too. Not bad!

Nothing was too much for her as a company. Everything booked in for a week later. Matthew and Micheal the carpet fitters were absolutely fantastic friendly and professional. I had sheet vinyl fitted in my bathroom which I purchased from somewhere else which was not a problem for these guys. Matthew talked me through some of the issues of the flooring underneath and offered to come back if I was unhappy with any of the fitting. They fitted the bedroom carpet and stairs prefect and tided and took away all of the excess waste. Carpet Co Leeds is the best carpet company I have ever used and would recommend them every time.
It has been a nightmare experience with this company. I arranged to have all of my flooring…read morereplaced, a combination of carpets and engineered wood. They have a trick of getting you to pay them for the carpets and the fitters separately for the fitting. In this way, the absolve themselves from all responsibility of any problems with the fitting. It ensures that you can't withhold payment for the most expensive part of the work should anything go wrong (because they've already taken payment prior to work starting). On the first fitting, I was careful to be in when the fitter arrived, and to have the day free to attend to anything that needed to be done. He asked me to clear one or two things (in addition to the work I'd already done) which I willingly did. He then suggested that I left. I only went down the road to a coffee shop and could be contacted at any time, since I'd left my mobile number. I thought it was strange that they only sent one person to do 3 rooms and was a little concerned. On returning (and after the fitter had left), I found scratches in an oak desk in my spare room. I contacted carpetco who said the fitter would contact me. A day or two passed, and funnily enough, I got a text message to say my cheque had been cashed a matter of an hour or so before the fitter rung me. The fitter denied all responsibility and passed me onto his insurance company. Having written to them on July 17th 2016, I have not heard back from them at the time of writing. At the time of writing 2 months have gone by. When Carpetco arranged for a second fitter to install my hallway floor, further problems ensued. For a start, the fitters had crammed bits of wood near the front door, instead of removing the door and fitting a single plank of wood. It looked shabby and showed that all they wanted was to move onto the next job. I told them that this was not acceptable and they eventually removed the door and made right the work. After they'd left, I noticed that an expensive door handle had been broken on one of the other doors they'd removed. Having learned from my previous mistakes, I cancelled the cheque immediately. Carpetco, upon hearing this, suggested that I deducted the price of a new handle and write a revised cheque, which is what I did. I wonder where Carpetco get these fitters from? It felt like they had absolutely no respect for my home. I have expensive marble flooring in my bathroom. The joiners used a plastic strip to join the engineered wood hallway with the bathroom. I noticed that this simply lifts out (quite easily) and looks shoddy, with gaps for dust to collect. Choose Carpetco at your peril. They may seem cheap, but for me they turned out to be an expensive mistake.
