I could not make the two girls at the counter understand that Arthur and Arturo are one-in-the-same name. One is the English version of the other! I showed them my credit cards and my Wells Fargo ATM card all printed Arthur but they insisted I send my check back to the sender and have it reissued to name Arturo as the recipient. They looked up my deposit history and it showed they had accepted checks from this sender previously, as written, but now suddenly it's a problem. I felt I was patient for longer than most would have been but in the end I became exhausted arguing with a couple of robots, that can't make a decision on their own, and told them to close the account.

Bank of America has to be the tackiest bank I have ever been with in my entire life , I had a home…read moreloan through them so I was supposed to have a free bank account but within a couple of months they sold my home loan to some off name company in the middle of nowhere and lied to me about the percentage that I would get back on my credit card for purchases , now they've fired all the tellers and took all the drive-through machines the place looks like a vacant lot this is just a mess Bank of America you should either get your stuff together or sell out to somebody else like you did my home loan . I tried to deposit a check from my resale shop for $246.10 and what the ATM recorded was $6,246.10. I knew this was not right so I went inside to tell them of the problem. The young woman at the front desk told me the error was due to my incorrectly entering the amount of the check which was produced by a computer rather than a handwritten check. All I entered was my PIN but she wasn't interested in that. So although the $6000 error has been eliminated the bank placed a hold on my deposit until July 26. I called BOA on July 17 and after being on hold for 20 minutes and 57 seconds finally spoke with a bank representative who told me the $6000 error was been taken care of and there should not be any further hold on the $246.10 check. She also said she would report this ATM as problematic and needed to be repaired. The hold on my check is still in place until 7/26/2023, at which time I assume the amount will finally be credited to my account. No guarantees, right? I really hate this treatment and hope that steps will be taken to make sure it doesn't happen to other customers.

They do have a drive through, but I've only ever used it for the ATM. going into the lobby is my thing. The tellers are all nice and friendly, and the bankers were very helpful whenever I was finishing up paperwork for my loan there.
