As I was driving North on I-71 Googled "lowest gas prices near me" and this UDF on Hudson came up as the lowest price. But today's home run was finding the ice cream inside- and the friendly attendant who asked me if I wanted a 2-FOR-1 Scoop. I couldn't get the word YES out fast enough. Honestly, even without the double scoop special it was a good experience. The lady who scooped the ice cream was friendly- and so was the cashier. There were two other people in line in front of me and they were not exactly friendly, or sober, but the guy behind the counter did his best to handle a bad situation. When he was finished with them and they departed the store I made sure to tell him he showed great patience and handled the previous folks well. At this location, just outside campus and in a rougher looking part of town, the team behind the counter today did well to handle whatever came their way, avoiding a possible conflict on one part- and ensuring I knew about a free extra scoop of heaven on the other. Not every hourly employee would have done one- let alone both. Thanks UDF. This made my day. read more

I have reviewed this location like three times. Someone keeps reporting it closed or something because they remodel the entire store what seems like every six months. BUT LISTEN YELP: THIS PLACE HAS NEVER FULLY CLOSED. STOP DELETING MY (AND OTHERS) REVIEWS!!!! So here is review number one million for UDF at Hudson and Indianola: This is often the cheapest gas in Columbus!!! At least within the 270 beltway, and certainly in Central Columbus. It is regularly ten to 20 cents cheaper than the stuff just down the road, and often 40 cents cheaper than the places on olentangy, lane, or 5th. Yes, with all the remodels, it is nice and spacious inside! They have a beer cave. They make shakes and ice cream. The beer cave could offer more, but I gots no complaints. The staff is usually pretty friendly at this location, considering they work for a right-wing fundy who won't sell condoms in any of his stores and dumps money into the RNC. read more

This place is a normal UDF but the shelves are basically empty. Not alot of options. The fresh stuff looked decent.

As much as I'm partial to Speedway, you cannot beat the gas prices at this location! Last night, I needed to fill up and with gas 3.79- I figured I would try my good ol' standby UDF to see how they competed price-wise. Guess how much? 3.47! WHAT?!?!?! AMAZING! 2 Pumps were down, which caused a traffic back up, but it was so worth the wait. read more

I like this UDF. For one, they consistently have lower gas prices than other nearby stations. The location is very convenient, but the proximity to the goofy intersection at Hudson and Indianola can make getting in and out a little hairy. However, the parking lot has ample room - something many gas stations in Columbus have forogtten to include. The interior was renovated a few years ago, and is very nice. There is no inside seating (and no bathroom, which would be required in that case), so that takes a star off. The service has been above average each time I've visited. Last time I was waiting for ice cream, some kids tried to cut me in line. I didn't need to say anything - the staff addressed them first. I like this place. They have a well-stocked food/snack selection, and a decent beer selection, too. When I'm in the area, this is my UDF of choice. read more

Yes, another 5 star review for a gas station. I am not a native of Ohio, and when I moved to Dayton for college, I instantly became a fan of UDF. A store that is open 24 hours, that offers pretty fantastic ice cream, shakes and every other type of item you might need at 3 in the morning. UDF also has great Milk, and some of my favorite chocolate milk anywhere. Buskin Cookies ( seriously google them) are also available here. You can also get beer, wine, and your usual snacks. Decent coffee, and good range of Soda in the fountain. This location has everything that other UDF's have, and is a newer more modern store, and is nice and clean on the inside. An added bonus to this store, is that for some reason gas here is 20 cents cheaper then every place else. I'm not kidding, get your gas here, if you live even remotely near Old North Columbus, or Campus. IF you don't it is an easy exit off of 71. No public bathroom though, so look else where for that. read more

I live across the street from UDF and I hate it with a passion. The new and improved UDF is even worse than the original. NuUDF looks better, but its full of the same old junk food (even more of it) at even more jacked up prices. I don't use the store in general unless it's after 10 PM and Mr. Lee's is closed. So, I went over a couple days ago to get some over-priced cat food since it was late, and picked up the Lantern. The clerk tried to charge me for it, and two of them puzzled over why there was no price on it. They, in fact ,didn't even know what The Lantern is and I had to explain it to them. I'm sure they didn't believe me and have now marked me as a klepto. This in the University District. UDF is owned by the crackpot Linder famiily who wants to tell the rest of us how to live. The don't sell condoms because, according to an article in the Dispatch a few years, that would encourage people to have sex. But the Linders aren't so pure as to refuse to sell beer, wine ,cigarettes and food that makes you fat. and sick. The only exception to my review is the ice cream which is great. I wish UDF would just become an ice cream parlor. read more

This UDF has everything you have come to expect and love from all other United Dairy Farmers. There's that delicious Ice Cream, Shakes, and Sundaes, all of which can be enjoyed in the store at tables. You have your usual fare of convince store junk including sweet, salty and sour. And you can buy cheap beer or boxed wine on the way to a party. What does this UDF bring to the table that the others don't? Some really interesting characters after 11pm. read more

normally not the one to leave a review, this is actually my first ever. and unfortunately, i've had the worst experience at this specific location. i love to get milkshakes with my spouse and we honestly stopped trying to order from this location after multiple visits of trying to give this place a chance. the customer service is absolutely terrible. i've had girls play on their phones and eat before asking me if i needed anything. when it's quite obvious what i want when every time i'm looking at the ice cream. it's upsetting to see so many positive reviews in the later years, clearly the staff has changed. i feel so unwelcomed when it comes to anything ice cream related. today they declined me having a milkshake because there wasn't enough staff? it just seems like its always an issue to get ice cream or like i'm bothering the staff. read more

I go here for gas since it's usually .20 cents cheaper then the BP down the street. Yeah ...seriously..it's THAT much cheaper over at UDF; yet another fact I've come to learn while in my first month living in the city. I havent been inside this one yet, but if it's anything like the other one I wondered into at 3am last week, it has all of your normal 7-11 foods. For anyone who may not know what 7-11 or Quick Check is, they are your 24/7 convience store packed with yummy junk food and other things you might need or want durring the day or any hour late at night. I usally only shop at one if I'm out late and every other store is closed, rather shop here then going to McDonalds or something. But like I said, I havent looked around the full store yet. What I know is they sell ice cream (right now it's buy a scoop and get another free), beer (cheap & seasonal flavors too), and they have really cheap gas....so for me, this place is what I need and Im happy to have a 24/hr store close to home. Going along with other posts: To all of you haters out there who seem to think junk food is the reason our kids are fat...sorry. I'm sorry you hate junk food (it's really tasty!) and I'm sorry you think the only reason people are fat is because they dont hate food like you do. But it's not the foods fault, it's peoples fault. The food doesnt jump into someones mouth, it's a choice, and sometimes it's an illness. UDF sells junk food because that's the type of food people want as a snack or late at night. They other things in there to eat too, just look around.And I'm sorry you think morals are a bad thing too and that you believe children should be aware of sex at a young age. To be clear, I'm happy UDF doesnt sell condoms. Good for them! At least some stores still follow certain codes of ethics in our day & age. It's their store and they want to not sell something then it's their right. It's refreshing and honest of them to do this. A lot of stores do things like this. Shout out to Chick-fil-A who's been doing this since the begining! Still want condoms??? Go to the CVS right across the street and stop harping on crap that doesnt matter. Dont want junk food? I know what you're thinking. Who reviews a gas station? But every once in a while, you discover an establishment with such wonderful service that you can't help but praise them. I come in here often for a delicious milkshake (UDF never disappoints), or a quick snack and the employees there are so friendly. They never fail to brighten my day. You'll be in for a treat if Donald happens to be behind the counter. Today he handed me my milk shake with the promise that it would, indeed, bring the boys to the yard.
