I moved from Queens NY where medical/doctor's offices answers the phone. In Delaware, it a long long wait. No one answers the phone. Secondly, as I write this review, it is 8:44am and I am #1 on hold. Why am I waiting for over 10 minutes. Foolishness. Medical treatment is extremely poor. After being a patient for over 17 years I had a wellness appointment that I made 3 months earlier. My doctor refused to see me and referred me to the PA. I refused to see the PA , Dr . Would not see me. Every time I went for a visit they would ask me for the copay of the previous visit which I always pay for at time of visit. So I argued with them and showed them proof. Then I got two letters from them. One saying I was disrespectful to the staff and another saying if I did not pay the copay I could not come back. I texted the billing department and they texted me back saying it was a mistake on their end. Now I got a letter saying they don't want me back. So now I got a new primary care physician and couldn't be happier. They treat me with respect and the greatest care. Thank you UMClinic for abandoning me. read more

I have been a patient for over 12 years...Dr Adams was wonderful, he left and then I started seeing Dr. Barnett-Smith who I loved!!! They lost a great doctor when then lost her. I have been on certain meds for the entire 12 years and now Dr Maria and Dr Carlos refused to continue my meds (not opioids)...one was for Gerd. Then NEVER answer the phones, they have terrible bed side matters. It's like they hate you! At least that's the way they treated me and I am a very friendly person. Please find another doctor, believe me, anyone is better than these clowns! I moved on and I'm so happy I never have to see them again. Also, I hate even giving them 1 star. read more

Treated more like a number on the screen and not a person. I was switched to them when my doctor retired a few years ago and after 2 or 3 years I'm done with being treated like a number and not a person. The constant bugging about my weight (asking when I was going to see the nutritionist and weight loss doctor) every time I went in was bad enough. In the fall I had was is an ear infection for me (no pain but dizzy) I was told to Google exercises, and not asked about it 2 weeks later when I had my bloodwork follow-up. I changed pharmacies at the beginning of the year and needed a new script for one of my prescriptions, The pharmacy called SEVERAL TIMES over weeks without a return call. I finally went into the patient portal and specifically said my new pharmacy but they called it into my old one. I had to contact them a second time to fix it. I had an appointment today and the PA wouldn't see me because I didn't have my bloodwork done, even though it was my annual visit, and wanted to reschedule in 2 weeks. read more

They do not have a listing for the Dover office so I'm sharing this here. I am a chronically ill person who has seen enough medical pros to know who's good and who isn't. United medical has been among the worst experiences I've had so far. The PA I saw, Jason, was so disrespectful to me in the room. Could not have cared less about me or my thoughts on my own health. The full story is too long to type here, but take it from a professional patient -- do NOT go here. You'd be better off seeing a stethoscope-wearing dog. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to answer the phone here. And it cannot be Covid related (lack of staff) because I've had the same problem consistently pre-pandemic. I was on hold for 26 minutes - couldn't get past the automated machine. So I hung up - called the office and pushed zero (the prompt that says I'm in the parking lot and have an appointment today). It was the only way I could talk to a human being. Girl was rude - huge sigh - she put me on hold and then put me back in the original phone que. I've now waited an additional 11 minutes and still haven't spoken to a person. NO IDEA how this place continues to stay open. I'm done - love Dr Valencia but the organizational issues are just too frustrating. Funny thing - their recording says "Your health is important to us!" Obviously not true. read more

I had an appointment with a nutritionist at this practice a year ago. When I called today to make another appointment, I was told I could not because I no longer use the doctor who recommended the nutritionist. Imagine that???? Since United Medical doesn't want my money, I'll give it to another nutrition company! No brainer there~! read more

They provide billing and other "professional" services for physicians but I can tell you first hand that they are FAR from professional! My practice used to be located in the Delaware Valley and for a short time I utilized their services. WHAT A MISTAKE! They were extremely rude with my patients - absolutely horrible customer service! Called to become new patient. Submitted application and medical records. Received call week later saying that the Dr. could not take me as a patient. Asked why 1). First told Dr could not prescribe medicines I needed. I explained that I did not need the Dr to prescribe pain medication 2) Told Dr did not receive enough medical history. Explained that I called the office and asked what records they needed and was told the information received was enough. After a few extra questions I just asked if the Dr was accepting patients to which I was told no. I wasted so much time when I could have been looking at other Dr's. Maybe the Dr was accepting only certain types of patients. read more
