We've attended this church for many years, and love the people and message. Its a smaller…read morecongregation, so it's highly unlikely visitors will leave without being noticed and welcomed. The messages are so Bible-based, which was our #1 requirement for a church. The church is a good mix of ages, which we appreciate- our kids aren't the only kids in church and are close friends with the other young people. There are several Bible studies available on Saturday mornings, along with a women's Bible study Saturday afternoons, and a midweek service on Wednesday night. It's weekly potlucks are awesome and vegetarian/vegan friendly!

He has lived with my mother in law (and my late father in law) for decades. He will retire this month after 50 years of service. He's one of those great non-judgemental Catholic priests. He made this church great. My mother in law used to run the choir until she moved a few years ago. Now the music reminds me of bad karaoke. Unfortunately in the entrance there are all these anti-abortion posters. At least no official homophobia. The congregation seems pleasant and typically small town. It'll be interesting to see what will happen after Father Spors leaves....

We moved up here from Maple Grove Minnesota and were so excited to meet the new Priest Father Ryan from Ely Minnesota and the two special Deacons who reside over this parish as well as Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Crosslake. They as well as all the lay people who run these parishes are the best and bring a bright light to both communities and the surrounding area. The programs and the offerings of the churches are super! We are so happy to be here in "God's Country" with the support of two great churches. Quant St. Emily in Outing and the larger Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Crosslake. This is one of the few churches where the pastor preaches from the scripture, not saying just what…read morewe want to hear, but only saying what the scripture tells us. Pastor Ryan is excellent, and the atmosphere of the church is warm and inviting.
