The clerk employee asked me if my address was correct as listed. I said no that's a mistake. I gave her the correct address for the seller. She never asked for mine although I have my ID out. I assume she got it off-line. When I got done and got home I realized that she put the same address both for the seller and the buyer. I called immediately and informed her she said she would not be back later that week. But Justice top in and they would correct it. The next person I got at the clerks office seemed to be upset at me for causing her to figure it out. She ended up going to her supervisor and asking a bunch of questions as she did not know how to proceed. Anyway, long story short I felt like for the money, I'm spending on the taxes on the boat. I should've gotten better service. And of course they would probably advise me that the the paper work was flawed it's my fault. But, I'm the buyer. I did not prepare the Paperwork.

This marker points out the Christmas eve battle that took place here in 1863. It is one of a number…read moreof different engagements between the Confederates and the Union that happened here. The marker has the same text on both sides and reads, "A critical point in the bitter cavalry actions during Longstreet's withdrawal to winter quarters near Morristown. The 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Army of the Cumberland, coming from the northwest through Dandridge, was attacked at Hays' Ferry, four miles northeast, by Confederates of Russell's Brigade, and driven back through Dandridge to New Market, 12 mi. northwest. The Federals lost a gun and caisson, with minor personnel casualties." There is free parking here in Dandridge if you're stopping to view the marker and follow the Civil War trails. I love historical places, and I have been drawn to this place each time I've driven by. It was…read moreempty for a long while, then purchased, restored and made into a B&B. I googled it, and saw on Zillow about a year ago it was purchased once again, maybe now a beautiful home for someone. The house bones need a family! The Wheatland Plantation grew wheat thus the name. Wheatlands, was established as a family farm by Revolutionary War veteran Timothy Chandler in 1791. Wheatlands had become one of the largest plantations in the county. Measuring 4,600 acres the farm produced oats, sweet potatoes, hogs, cattle, wool, and distilled 18,000 gallons of whiskey a year from its immense wheat crop. Wheatlands is an antebellum plantation in Sevier County, Tennessee. And is the location of the revolutionary war site "The Battle of Boyd's Creek." The present day plantation house was occupied during the Civil War as a field house and winter camp. There is a graveyard in the back yard. Still at the site are the Federal-style, three-story brick home that was built in 1825 as well as the separate kitchen and dining building to the rear, a loom building and a smokehouse. When the overgrown seven-acre property was recently cleared of years of overgrowth, they found Cedar Spring and a pond it feeds, the slave cemetery near Boyds Creek and the mound where it is believed that Cherokees were buried who were killed by John Sevier on his way back from King's Mountain. An archaeological team also found the thick stone floor of a shed that was believed to have held the distillery product. Also it is noted of many hauntings. One of the most famous ghosts of Wheatlands Plantation is Granny Jane, a former slave who allegedly practiced voodoo. Her spirit is said to protect the house from intruders, often making her presence known to those who mean harm. Another well-known ghost is Lucy, a young girl who died tragically on the plantation grounds. Lucy is often seen playing near the house, her laughter echoing in the air. Other spirits include a Civil War soldier, whose ghost roams the grounds, and several children who appear in old-fashioned clothing, playing games from a bygone era. Furthermore, each of these spirits has a story that adds depth to the haunted plantation's eerie charm.

Cocke County dates back to 1797 when the Tennessee General Assembly created it from Jefferson County, naming it in honor of William Cocke, a Revolutionary War soldier who supported the establishment of the State of Franklin, helped write Tennessee's first state constitution, and served as one of the state's initial U.S. senators. Initially, the county seat was in the home of John Gilliland, the son of the original settler. In 1828, a new brick courthouse was built. Fire destroyed that courthouse in 1876 and the government was moved. The current structure was built in 1930 in a New-Classical Colonial Revival style. It is three stories with a flat roof line. The interior is based on the cruciform, with the interior hallways on the first story intersecting at the center of the building and creating a central lobby from which access to the staircase which ascends to the second story. The original dual staircases has metal balusters. On the second story is a lobby outside of the courtroom, which is located in the center of the second story. The building houses the County Circuit Court, County Chancery Court, County General Sessions Court and County Juvenile Court of the 4th Judicial District. There is a parking lot nearby.
