I've traveled all over. I have visited so many post offices. For a large post office, this is hands-down the friendliest one, I've ever been. Even customers, holding the door for you. April is one of the employees and she is always quick with a hello, with a smile. Even the older gentleman that typically works the counter farthest from the door, he is so sweet. I've arrived at 650pm and been helped. I use to live in a city, where the post office lobby stank like day old diapers and I felt terrible for the employees. Slow and ineffective. They should only allow large drop offs at one position not any cashier because very long lines develop

I have a consumer service request 77150665. The certified letter I am sending has not reached it desination. I mailed the certified letter March 25, 2025 and it has not moved from the New Orleans USPS to the Mandeville, LA post office. Why is it taking a month to deliver a Certified letter? Please advise. Friendly service and way less to ship than the UPS store. The staff here is always pleasant and friendly.

If the listed hours say the are open until 7 pm, they should be open until 7 pm. NOT closed at 6:45, which is the time I got there. Who knows how much before that time they were closed. I have to wonder if the reason postage prices are rising so ridiculously is because we are paying for work time when postal workers aren't even working? read more

I understand that Madisonville, LA no longer delivers their own mail, and the Mandeville, LA location has had to pick up that task. However not receiving my mail or packages in a timely fashion is unacceptable. I am also getting statement bills well after the due date , today is what finally prompted a comment, as my statement arrived today on OCT 28th , my bill was due on OCT17th! - the company mailed this statement out to me on SEP 23- see the problem, not to mention the late fee i was charged. I have tried to call and speak to someone with no luck. How am I supposed to feel confident about using U.S.P.S. when its unreliable? read more

My package arrived at the Mandeville post office but instead of putting it on a truck for delivery THEY SHIPPED IT TO HAMMOND, LA. 25 miles away!!! Only the government would continue to employ this level on incompetence. read more

Called about a mail forwarding issue and call was taken with no hold and the problem was handled well.

What can I say? Its a post office. It has stamps, mailboxes and you can mail things. There are three drive up mailboxes where you can drop your Netflix DVD returns at all hours of the night. This post office is across from Walgreens and Cvs on Us 190. read more

This post office is very convienent. They stay open til 7pm during the week. Not sure of their Saturday hours. I rarely go there on Saturday since they are open so late during the week. I do know tht they open at 9am on Saturday mornings. A line forms early at the door. Like most post offices now, they have an ATM like box where you can take care of most of your business without haveing to deal with a live person. When you do have to deal with a live person (as opposed to a dead person) the service I received has been good. The line usually moves pretty quick. read more

I have always had a smooth time at this post office. The staff is always very nice, especially Mark.

Do not I repeat do not shop anything fragile through these people IT WILL BE BROKEN. First it was my deceased grandfathers shadow box. Which when I went to the office they were hardly sympathetic towards it and told me they had to keep the broken contents for their investigation. Which included his ribbons and flag that was draped over his casket.... hell no they weren't going to keep it and they gave me grief for doing so. Now our friends from back home sent us some figurines that were wrapped appropriately but still shattered to pieces so badly that the powder from the shattered figurine coated the entire box. No matter how long the line is, the staff has always been quite courteous and accommodating!

Please fix the package drop-off bin in the lobby. When boxes can be dropped off from the self serve computer and those of us who can print our own postage from our homes, we won't clog up the holiday line. We also won't risk the wrath of the curmudgeon against the wall muttering whether our prepaid, weighed and rounded up, priority package "has the proper postage." I have a lost package that has been missing for 2 1/2 weeks. No one here will help me and everyone just keeps giving me the run around. They take my name and info and tell me they will get back to me( no one ever calls me back).. This routine has repeated for the last 5 days and no one has information for me. I never order things from the Internet, but I will certainly remind myself to NEVER use THIS post office, or really, the postal service in general. Horrible service. These government workers do not care. I had an appointment to get a passport and got to the appointment 15 mins early as that's what their website says. I waited for 30 minutes because the man handling passports was on lunch. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT! They want us to get there early so they don't have to wait on us, but don't care to be on time for us! I called to check on a package I was to receive and as I was explaining that they didn't add my street address to the shipping address he asks me what the tracking number is. Frustrated People: a new show on CBS on Fridays at 8:30 PM. It's a wonderful show about a romance between two crotchety, 60 somethings at the US Post Office. It stars Mister Guy, a man with limited power but unlimited imagination that allows him to boss around others because he can turn them away quickly and rudely if they don't have their birth certificate for a passport. You'll get a great chuckle when Mister ignores the customers while taping packages closed, further abusing his power as the "passport man with no passport plan." In a supporting role is Mistress Lady, a lady with furious support of Mister Guy and can entice roaring laughter from the audience with her under the breath, snarky comments. Don't ring the passport bell--who knows what ignorant plans are going on in the office! read more

What can you say about the post office? It's ok. Nothing to get excited over. I went here looking for a box to ship a cafe du monde cup in to send to a friend. They didn't have the size I needed. Everything they had was either too small or way too big. I wound up finding exactly what I needed at the little post office center in Rouse's. read more

Drove through to drop off mail in the drop off mailboxes on the Post Office Parking lot. The mail did not seem to fall down into the box, so I tried again ... and again. I thought it might be the humidity making it stick for some reason since I was doing this at 5 AM on a Tuesday morning, but when I tried grabbing my mail I felt other mail. These are 3 HUGE drop off boxes and they were all full!!! I didn't even have my elbow at the opening of one and I had pulled out over 2 dozen pieces of mail. With so much electronic mail these days, these boxes must not have been emptied in how long? This wasn't around holidays and didn't even have the benefit of a weekend to collect, so why were they all full especially with the size of these mail drops being so big. If you want your bill payments to be late, go ahead and try, but I do not think I will try this post office again. read more
