They always give me a rundown of how my child did at playcare. Workers will notify you if your child is inconsolable or in need of a diaper change. Workout equipment is clean, in working order, and good quality. Very reasonable monthly/annual prices! Parking is convenient and there is a wide variety of additional services offered (after school programs, date nights, classes, and open gym). A few areas for improvement: -some cardio equipment isn't working properly (some malfunctioning buttons) and is a bit outdated -could use more hand weights. There are only one set of each weight so you have to do some sharing/waiting during peak hours -swimming pool is VERY HEAVY on the chlorine. I haven't ventured in there yet because of how strong the smell is

I use the gym too, and the entire facility is clean and extremely well kept and offers a myriad of activities for people of all age levels. I totally love the staff!!! They also offer a conversational French session on Tuesday nights. The librarian was eager to help me, and she showed me how to navigate their website to use online resources for FREE! I love supporting my local libraries because they are such a great resource to the community and cater to a variety of interests. Notes: They have nice lounge chairs sit and work in or to read in. It's very family and pet friendly, has nice inside and great space outside overlooking the Bayou or in the back overlooking the lovely oaks. They have a very nice variety of good German beer on tap as well as bottled; but you can find regular variety for the less enthusiastic about German beer. They also have spirits and wines with off course a focus on Germany. What I love best is that you can scape the noise of the city and regular bars and you can meet locals as well as German families that have made NOLA home. While It doesn't have the traditional look of a German beer garden but the environment is nice and the service is cordial. It's a great space for events and they have year round activities. Now the food still needs more work, but if you are hungry you can get an OK bite to eat (and this is the reason why I have them 4 stars instead of 5). So all and all nice place!

The lady in charge, a french woman named Claire took me on a tour and explained what their purpose is. This place is a non for profit community outreach program. They are especially aimed at providing the local neighborhood youth with after school programs. They also teach computer classes to help the elderly or computer illiterate learn how to use a computer. That's just a few of the the great programs that they got to help out the community. In short this is a great resource center that helps out the community.
