I called several times and no one replies to tell me that they received the check to renew my late mother's post office box. The employee forgets which post office box it is and the expiration date after several days of calls. I want a grace period beyond January 31, 2024 since this post office is irresponsible and does not provide an answer. I recommend a federal review of the practices and procedures of this post office as well. It is genuinely a dishonorable institution. read more

If you are complaining - "oh no there's too many people, ONE star!!" or "I had to actually leave my house and drive there, why don't they answer the phone, ONE star!" I mean it's a Post Office. Plain and simple. What do you really expect? you know how it goes. Keep in mind - Yes you have to wait in line, Yes parking is going to be crowded, Yes you are probably going to be there longer than the time you expected, Etc. Relax, It's an everyday busy establishment and I mean busy of all hours. With an Office like this, there is bound to be slight complications every now and then. We (as a customer) are trying to get our own business done on our time while the employees do the best they can. Anyways I love that we can drop off mail outside on the side of the building without even getting out of the car. Very convenient. And I love that they have a machine that can accommodate you with sticker labels and of course other items without even walking fully inside. All in All - 5/5 I've never actually ran into any problems from the 7 years I have been a customer at this establishment. read more

My mail is STILL not being forwarded five weeks after I submitted my address change. NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE to fix it. I cannot just drive there. I have lived all over, this is the most inconsistent mail delivery I have ever had, mail isnt being forwarded - where is it? I feel like maybe whoever is managing or supervising does not have a proper handle on staff and making sure they do their job. The post office is not at the top of my list of places to go but sometimes you just got to go take care of business. I usually go drop off mail for work since we have to send out important documents. The line can be very long at times and it seems like they don't have sufficient workers to take care of all the customers. The ladies at the counter can sometimes can be a bit rude. From my experience most of the time I am taken care of and get to mail out my documents in a timely manner but there is room for improvement. read more

GOOD LUCK if you want to put your mail on hold while you are out of town. Be prepared for some of it to be delivered, so them to deliver it if you arranged to pick it up when you return, or from them to hold it if you asked for it to be delivered upon your return. I do not care if it is the Post Master or anyone in charge,i believe that respect,professionalism and a calm helpful attitude is always needed.When we got to the desk we asked questions about what were the steps on getting a PO BOX. We proceeded to fill in the application form and you have to have a State ID Number and Insurance on a car or renters insurance.That was fine but we forgot our insurance paper to proceed with getting the post box.we were being served by a gentlemen who was very helpful but next to the gentlemen another member of staff called VICKI kept interrupting and she was saying in a very rude manner that.IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE INSURANCE OR ANY OTHER PROOF THEN YOU HAVE TO COME BACK. It was not what she said that upset us it was her tone and rudeness. My wife and I have an Etsy Shop Online so we know what customer service is all about and Professionalism is important and dealing with our clients requests to the best of our ability. my wife left i then asked for a complaints form and VICKI passed it to me.I said Thank You Vicki i will remember your name.The worker that served us was more than capable of dealing with our situation instead of this VICKI sticking her nose in. A lot of people have said she is rude to them and i think this should be addressed.Whether she is Post Master or not she should not behave in a rude manner and have a power trip thinking she can abuse or be rude to customers just because her day is not going well.Perhaps she has been in the job too long and its time to step aside. Two hours later we had the insurance paper to give them to get the PO BOX and keys but we did not want RUDE ABRUPT VICKI to serve us. Worst post office ever. Have had many problems with them. I live in a gated community and the mail is delivered every day I suppose but notice when I have a tracked packed for some reason the deliverer gets amnesia when I comes to the gate code. I get junk mail for days. Makes me wonder what other mail there is that could not be delivered because of " Business was closed" read more

The parking is horrible during rush hour! Most people don't know how to park or they do not let you back out. The worst part is when some idiot is coming thru the exit to drop off the mail or to cross over to pecan. USPS does not enforce driver doing this maneuver. Worst service ever! I am a college student in desperate need of a textbook which I ordered online to receive shortly eight days before my test to have enough time to study. As a college student, I do not rely on transportation if not I would not have purchased the textbook online. They never answer phone calls, wrong, they actually do pick up the phone and hang up shortly after. What is the point of paying the phone bill? I am not alone, Google and Yelp Reviews suggest their communication service is unreachable! Just called Corporate offices to complain about this issue. They marked my address in my package as incorrect, when it was perfectly correct and trackable, and sent my book back to Illinois where I had purchased it. Now I am stuck with no book and the worst customer service experience in my life. The management must have studied at an old-styled institution with no acces to telephones or communication technologies. read more

Called 30+ times, no answer so I could get information for getting a passport, called another post office and they said that place is hard to get a hold of and also that that Is the only place to get passports here in McAllen. So I show up and the lady that does passports is off for a week and I asked about why they don't answer the phones because they could've told me that over the phone and saved me a 17min x2 drive.. we'll the guy said oh yeah their phones have been down..okayy. so then I set up appt online which kinda wasn't working either but I show up for the appt and low and behold their camera isn't working..wow. So then I have to go to Walgreens and decide to go back another day because I had other errands. So I go back with an appointment and seems as if I don't even need an appointment because the lady doesn't even check but anyways then she seems as if she wants to send me off again to get a money order or check and I asked if they take credit cards and she said oh well do u have debit?! Umm yeah.. I do.. oh then u can get a money order here ..oh well gees thank u.. then i asked if I could get a copy of my marriage certificate because u have to send in the original and she says oh we don't have that size of paper.. she could've just printed it on two pages but nevermind that, I'm asking too much for two sheets of paper as opposed to one long one!? I mean what happened to customer service, and where is MANAGEment?!! I'd rather to go a post office in another city and have that inconvenience.. maybe that's their goal, to have less customers lol.. to top it off the lady in front of me was asking her questions and the worker just kept saying call the 1800 number. hmm. Oh and only use ALL black ink on application..and take a large birth certificate not the small one. And don't forget marriage certificate for any name change. Ugh long rant. After today, I would recommend this post office to anyone. The line was long but moved quickly, then I was greeted by a very friendly and fast customer service person. Oliver made great conversation, made me laugh and answered all my many questions patiently and thoroughly while helping me fill out the long customs paperwork for my package to South Africa. I've live in McAllen at the same address for more than 5 steady years. I own my house. I've only gotten this post office (McAllen Texas) to answer twice. In that two times, once hung up on. Postman has told me they DO NOT deliver any kind of packages (if it doesn't fit in my mailbox) in my area. But when you check the tracking, #1: delivered, left with individual. (There was nothing delivered) #2: attempted delivery, no secure location left notice (they never leave notice) #3: redelivery rescheduled.(Never attempt to redeliver due to they can't deliver in my area) #4: delivery error. #5: package not available for location/ track. #6: package lost/stolen. Even says left notice then 5 minutes later says delivered? And many more excuses. Then when I go to the office, nothing they can do, or just wait till the next day to see if you get it (I never do) rude behavior and pretends I'm lying (when they can see what I'm saying is true) ----0 stars. But really? Nun of these comments even will do anything to help or change it. I have filled out many complaints (either lost, thrown out, or say they didn't get it.)
