Originally a drinking fountain built in the 1960's on the Cornucopia beach, this is now a constantly flowing source of water, great for drinking. It's pretty refreshing on a hot summer day. The temperature isn't cool enough to give you a brain freeze. It's perfect for quaffing. I didn't taste any off flavors. Parking is pretty easy as many people are coming and going (no one really lingers to hang out) and there's ample parking nearby for the playground, picnic shelters, and the beach. Check out the nearby stores (The Fish Shed restaurant, Hestekin Pottery, Wren Art) while you're at it. The Fish Shed actually gets their drinking water from the well! It goes well with their chowder.

Tons of tourists. Plus, you can go to any of the Apostle Islands from Bayfield, which is definitely worth the trip. Especially Madeline. There really is no reason why you wouldn't want to go there if you are in Bayfield. I mean.. Just get on the Ferry, and in like 20 minutes, there you are! Bayfield has a unique vibe to it as well, tons of little family shops, good food, apples, and tons of little quaint bed and breakfasts. It really is one of those get away spots, especially if you are older and just want to chill out and enjoy yourselves without all the hustle and bustle. Love Bayfield... I really do!

They handle a lot of problems in a small town and are giving, and understand when you do something that you know is your fault and feel bad about it. I should have lost my license before I was 18 due to speeding. I got pulled over in a school zone going 45...yeah, I know, I was only 17 and thought I could get a way with it.. but anyways.. That should have been the ticket to suspend my license. BUT... a nice officer saw that I was crying.. real tears, that is.. and really sad/scared about the whole getting my license taken away. He wrote me the ticket anyways, then went down to where my dad works, told him about the entire situation, and then had my dad tell me that I was getting my ticket ripped up. So, being at a school in a small town, you cannot really cry the entire day, because the teachers realize, and call your folks! My dad came up at lunch and told me what was going on.. I just had to go apologize to the cop after school and he would rip up my ticket. HE DID JUST THAT! I was so relieved! IT was really nice that they agreed to do that. Now, the rest of the cops in this town are something else... I did want to point out the nice gesture from that one guy about 6 years ago, though.. That really made my day!

It's not exactly my favorite place to end up on a Saturday afternoon or anything, but it really isn't too bad of a place. Watching hockey games with my parents always made for a horribly night.. Now, I must included, that I hate hockey, don't understand it, and I don't like to be cold and forced to sit on a cold bench for three hours. All of the wedding receptions have always turned out nice.. The bad things about doing a reception here, is the place is hockey rink size, so if you don't fill up the place with people, it seems a bit empty and bare. But if you have a huge wedding and reception.. this would make for a great place to accommodate them all. The other weird thing about doing receptions here, is the decor.. You really need to have this place decorated a lot in order to give your guests a good feeling. Otherwise, you look around and see the American flag, and other flags and hockey things. I mean, it's not bad by any means, but can be a little tacky. The home and garden shows here, are nice. The place is big enough to get many of the area's business here in a booth. it usually fills up too with vendors and people. It works really nice. The kitchen in this place is kinda dirty, but clean enough.. whatever that means! The bathrooms are really gross though.. YIKES! Overall, it is a good place to host an event!
