Worst medical care system ever!…read more Our wonderful doctor of 22 years retired last year and we are trying to find a new primary care doctor. Well, good luck with that! We have tried calling four doctors so far. Right now, our primary need is to refill current prescriptions that we got from our old doctor less than 8 months ago. But, what a run around we are getting, since each doctor in the FMC system we called is telling us we are considered NEW patients and the next opening for a new patient appointment is in four months. So, after 22 years we are new patients? So, all those previous 22 years of office visits, physicals, tests, surgeries, etc. suddenly don't count? So every time I want to see a different doctor I am going to be considered a new patient? And therefore have to wait four months for an appointment, for a visit during which I see the doctor for only 15 minutes. Well then, what is the reason for being in the FMC system? All we need right now is to refill our prescriptions, something that we cannot wait four months to do. These scripts were written by a FMC doctor, why all the hassle when we just need refills. Oh wait... I was able to get an appointment for the following week to see a doctor when they wanted me to have two expensive test procedures. Oh wait... we were also told of a new FMC policy. Patients are now required to see a FMC doctor TWICE a year, whether they need to or not or else they go back to being NEW patients again. Florida Medical Clinic system seems more concerned with the bottom line of money making than in any real concern for their patients' health.

After I allowed her to dig herself deeper in the hole she had dug herself into, I spoke up and said "IF you actually HAD bothered to look at my patient file you would have seen that you've been calling me by someone else's name AND that I had that body part that you tell me I need tested removed in 2008." Now if something like this and also wanting unnecessary and excessive blood tests every time you go to the office done doesn't make you feel like a total POS, I don't know what does. I went in to get an ear infection checked and was told by the nurses aid that the doctor wouldn't check my ear unless I had this long list of blood tests (including AIDS and Hepatitis!!!!) in their lab first!!!! I came to Moffitt as soon as I found out I had head and neck cancer. They treated me well and…read moreseemed concerned. they told me the particular cancer I had was very easily treatable and I had a 95 percent of a full recovery. Then I explained that I was two and a half hours north of them and I had found a small clinic just 5 minutes from my house, as the treatment I needed would have required two treatments a day for six weeks. Suddenly, the tone changed, as did their body language. They told me if I went to the local clinic I was risking my life and would more then likely have a far less chance of recovering. Like they had a magic treatment of some sort. They tried their best to scare the hell out of me in plain English. While in fact I had noted the radiation machine they had and compared it to my local clinics. They had the very same machine and plan as my local clinic right in Lecanto Fl. I completed my 6 weeks of treatment and while it was rough, it did in fact help me. it's been 7 years. I would not recommend Moffitt at all for any type of cancer treatment. They didn't care about me or my situation. All they cared about was their numbers and studies. I love my Doctor. Dr Joey Bennitt. they did a great job and saved my life. If you get diagnosed with cancer, take a minute to really think about what will be the easiest for you and your family. these small clinics are a lot more personal and you see the same people every day during your treatment, while at Moffitt you never see the same people twice and they seem to be taking advantage of your diagnoses and will use it to their advantage to have you open your check book and say do what ever it takes. Truthfully, all the treatment facilities are the same and will do the exact same thing to help you. Don't fall for their scam. 7 years doing fine!

Dr. Salim Nauman is unprofessional, unethical and rude. I do not recommend Dr. Salim Nauman to…read moreanyone. No one deserves to pay someone to be treated so poorly. He has been dishonest about the cost of an allergy test that he insisted I take even though I already had one done. Then they charged me $400 but refused to send or give me an actual bill. They will call you back if you owe money and for 6 months they did and each time they called, I repeatedly requested a bill before I pay. They just wanted my credit card but would not produce a bill until my next appointment which they refused to see me until I paid. That day I was given a bill and paid it. I should have found another doctor then but it took the government not extending ACA subsidies to make me get different insurance that Salim doesn't take. His staff tried to sell me his personal skin care products at my office visit while waiting for him. He required me to go cold turkey off all medication I was taking in order to take the allergy test that I already had done. One of my meds requires a taper off, going cold turkey did not have pleasant effects. My primary said that could have killed me, when I asked Salim about this he said that is my primaries opinion. I looked up the drug and it clearly says taper off do not stop cold turkey, so it's not just an opinion, it's a fact, yet Salim did not care how this would effect his patients. Salim has written the wrong dose for my prescription not once but twice. This has caused delays with my specialty medication provider, hours of phone calls, and I have missed several doses due to his incompetence. The last time he sent the wrong prescription into the pharmacy he said I requested the change and wouldn't admit he made a mistake and refused to change the wrong dose prescription. I had to go to another immunologist doctor to get the correct prescription. Which is ridiculous because Ive been taking this same dose from Dr. Salim Nauman for two years. He refused to just look in my records to see the dose I've been on vs the refill dose he prescribed don't match. Salim is extremely unprofessional, has a better than you attitude, pushes his own products while at an appointment, is dishonest, and speaks to women like he is their superior. Unless the woman is 20 something, then you can hear Dr. Salim Nauman flirting with her like a pervert while his patients wait for him well past the appointment time. The office personal are just as rude and incompetent as Dr. Salim Nauman. I went in to the office, in person to try to get the prescription corrected because calling the office is a waste of time. The front desk lady repeatedly told he Dr. Salim was not in the office so she would take a message, then I saw him hiding behind a door and called them out for hiding. He said he just got there and wasn't hiding. He still refused to change the prescription. There was only one person named Jorge in the office who was nice and competent. I always asked for him because he was the only one who would actually help me. Be prepared to wait on hold when you call the office. I have waited between 10-50 minutes on the phone. No one will ever calls you back unless they want money. Dr Salim is difficult to understand, he speaks fast, with a thick accent, will talk over you while you're trying to ask a question and is condescending. I have recordings of our office visits and my friends can't believe how rude this guy is. I am also filing a complaint against Dr. Salim Nauman with the Florida State Medical Board. I paid Dr. Salim Nauman to write the wrong prescription for the second time, for my specialty medication and then refuse to correct it, requiring me to establish myself with another doctor to get my correct dose. If you need an immunologist, save yourself a lot of hassle and for your own health, find someone better who cares about patients.

They informed me her only day in this location was on Tuesdays. I had to tried to book in earlier, but they told me she had a family emergency last Tuesday when I tried to book for that day. I booked for 11:30 am today and arrived at 11:20 am. Karen, at the desk, was complaining loudly to someone in the back about how she hates BayCare, and they lie about her faxes as she has faxed them several times and they have never received. Karen totally ignored me while she vented about having to send another fax to BayCare. I stood in front her for a full 6 minutes before she ever acknowledged me. I should have left then but didn't listen to my gut instincts. She threw forms at me that were so poorly copied, I could barely read them. I proceeded to fill out everything and then a gentleman came out to check out, so I waited for her to finish with him. She was extremely rude to him, and she seemed put out to answer any questions about scheduling. Would not even check earlier dates when he inquired. She then proceeded to ask him for an alternate number to reach him, and he told her it was in his information, and she rudely replied that she did not have his chart in front of her. She then went on to complain to another staff member again about BayCare. I went up after the gentleman left and she totally ignored me again, so, I just laid my paperwork on her desk and had a seat. It is now 12:15 pm and I am only person in waiting room since I walked in. I was just getting ready to ask her how much longer when another staff member starts talking to her about BayCare again and she calls them and very rudely asks if they received her fax that she has sent multiple times. She was told they faxed back 10 minutes ago and now she goes on and one about how they are horrible! She disappears in back then I hear someone from back area yell "Debbie". I am thinking this is not for me and then she half walks up and yells my name again and I said that I could not believe this is how she calls people in, and she gives me a look of pure disgust. I am taken to a room and waiting when another patient is leaving and upset over this BayCare fax that they are telling her they have no clue about. Then the staff member who kept coming up to front desk and having these conversations with Karen, walks into my room and asks me why I am there. Seriously, I filled out all paperwork and the door is wide open. Meanwhile, the other patient is yelling in Spanish and another staff member who is sitting down at very end of desk keeps telling her she has no information as she does not handle. Could she at least got up out of her seat to converse with the woman??? I ask the staff member in my room if she is the neurologist, and she replies, no, she is an assistant. I ask her if I am being seen by neurologist and she states no, then tells me she is the nurse practitioner I inform her I specifically made my appointment for the neurologist; not once but twice. She just shrugged and said neurologist is not at this location. I tell her I am cancelling and want my $100 co-pay back and she walks me up to front and leaves. I have to explain to Karen that I want a return of my co-pay and she has an attitude. I tell her that I specifically requested neurologist for my first visit and she states that Dr. Malik had a family emergency today and that is why she is not there. I asked why no one called to reschedule and she states that they did not know until I was there. The so-called Nurse Practitioner/Assistant was the staff member who kept coming up to front desk to engage and complain about BayCare with Karen. So why did I have to wait 45 minutes to be seen?
