I also had the best math teacher that I've ever had in my life here. (Kayode Salisu for whoever wants to request him). Basically, if I had to do math to save my life, I'd be dead. But Professor Salisu helped me out alot. (That says alot considering my middle school and high school was a private school). Now, the reason that I gave it 3 stars. The parking ordeal is horrible. The management & advisement is horrible. Customer service is horrible. Wait times on the phone to call into the school is horrible. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! For starters, the students fly around the corners in the garage like animals. We have to park on the 7th floor and only certain sections of the 6th floor. The elevators take forever and they're hot as hell. I really don't understand how the college advisors even have jobs. My dog could give better advisement than these air-heads. The last time I checked, we pay for college to not only get a quality education, but to get quality advisement as well so that they can point you in some kinda direction as to help you with where you wanna go in life. On one occasion, I waited in line for about 30 minutes to inquire about what classes were involved with a certain major and what that major entails. The answer that I received was, "I don't know. Go on our website and look it up." REALLY?! WHAT DO I PAY YOU FOR?! The advisors aren't the only ones with horrible customer service. The front desk has all young kids working there. And the main number to call in has all morons running it, too. Nobody knows anything and you have to wait on the phone for 45 minutes just for them to tell you that.

Some of the best professors I have ever had teach at this campus. The best part is all the good food places (Yolo, Royal Pig pub, Rice and Dough) are all within walking distance. The one thing I don't like about this campus is the fact that the LRC is always packed and super loud if you have to take an online test. But overall, the views are great and so is the location. Pro Tip: If you have a parking decal you can park at the top two floors for free, even when you are going for a night downtown!

It's here that you'll find a lot of students, many from foreign countries, who are motivationally driven to learn English, get a GED and learn other skills they'll need to get good employment, become productive Americans, make something of themselves and enhance their living. Besides offer ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and GED (General Educational Development), often know as the High School Equivalency, Fort Lauderdale Community School has a good number of other skill courses to offer in computer sciences etc., but more importantly career counseling in order that its students are able to work out a programed of set goals for achievement. It also offers courses for people like me, English speaking but might like to learn Spanish as well. Though everything about Fort Lauderdale Community School's offerings are rather simplified and basic, that is exactly what it should be and what is needed. For us, living in such a diverse community with so many coming here who really want to become productive Americans or have a second chance in life, it is this school that offers them those chances and opportunities. Despite their promise of a study program, learning techniques and the like, their tutors were unable to complete my son's homework or help him at all. He brought an "F" for a homework that had been revised by the tutor and after all the work brought home a sequence of "F"'s. We then realized that we had spend $1200 for babysitting, where he was one of a group of students doing his own homework and little assistance. In the end we recouped $480 of the $1200 deposit - not including the $170 "assessment" fee, which was simply lost.
