I had to come here to purchase school uniforms like most people who shop here. Word to the wise,…read moreorder online or early before back to school shopping season begins. We waited outside in a line for about 45 minutes. Luckily it wasn't super hot yet as we came early. Also try to arrive before opening as that ensures you get in and out faster. They had an armed guard at the door controlling ingress/egress. It's the Ironbound - why they thought they needed an armed guard for a uniform store, I don't know. Upon entering the store, there were signs and lines. We entered the line nearest to the doors and waited to be helped by staff. They ask ask what school so they can pull the correct uniform paper and send you to the next line where they ask about clothing and sizing. They have multiple fitting rooms and samples you can try on. We were only at that counter for about 10 minutes due to also have my student try on their clothes. They noted the size, style and a quantity. Then they say to listen for the last four digits of your telephone number - taken at the first counter - as they will call it out loud when it's ready from the back. There is very limited seating at the capacity they were experiencing that day. We didn't have to wait more than 35 minutes and the only annoying part was that I was made to pay a shipping fee because they were out of a clothing item I needed. Most stores offer free ship to home but not this place. Also I didn't get my shipped order for well over a month after being assured by the associate it would be to be in about two weeks. In fact, I had to call the 800 number and follow up myself. I'm due to purchase some winter uniform shirts and so I'm planning to buy in person and I'll follow up my review if the experience has changed. It's not a bad store but the employees were definitely over it and I can't say I much blamed them as it was well into back to school shopping season. Overall 3.5 stars but I'm rounding to 4. The only part I didn't like was the misinformed sales associate and the incorrectly quoted shipping time.

When I asked for any potential resolution or potential refund/credit, they dismissed my complaints and said "the academy director is wrong." While getting guidance from my supervisor and academy director on the required SLEO set that every cadet had besides me. The uniforms are unworn and I had to purchase another uniform with United Uniform who was kind enough to follow up with my superiors to discuss my issue and the solution they had to provide me a uniform to fully attend without being at risk for being dismissed. Unfortunately the manager does not wish to take any accountability and instead has chose to vocalize her issue with my situation through online review rather than contacting my superiors who would be glad to inform the store of the specific requirements.
