They have a good variety. It is a great place to shop always a good atmosphere. The staff is always friendly.

My husband and I are here on vacation and staying at the Comfort Inn nearby. We've been into this store twice and have only good things to say about it. My boyfriend and I were walking through the liquor store and when we turned around, one of the staff members was right behind us watching us. This never happened to me whenever I went there by myself, so I can only assume it's because my boyfriend is black. It was especially unnecessary because they have cameras that tape the entire store so they could have just watched us on the tape. read more

DO NOT GO THERE! This store has repeatedly up charged it's shelf price. The price will say $22.99 and they will charge you $24.50at the register. They will give you some BS argument that you saw another price for different brand or a different type within the brand. Even when you grab the shelf price tag and show it to them , they will still attempt to up charge you. Also, when you argue the matter, they will also mutter some quite derogatory phrase about you. This incident has not only happened to me, they have done it to other people I know. The last time my fiancé went in there some irate would be customer told him to make sure he check the price and bring it with him to the register. This place is close to my closest grocery so I decided to give it a try on a Sunday night. The store signage stated that its closed at 8:00. I arrived around 7:45 and I was followed down the aisle by a young man who said "We are closing now, you must come to the register" I grabbed my items quickly and was in line with about 7 people. Half way into my check out the young man left the counter and locked the door, looking another associate outside and yelling at him for letting another customer in... By this time it was 7:55 and the door was locked before closing time. The man took my money and I went to leave but the door was locked. So I had to wait for every other person in line to check out in order to leave. I WILL NEVER RETURN to this liquor store, the employees were so unprofessional and the product was over priced. The convince of its location is not worth the headache of walking in the door. read more

This shop is amazing! Do not believe the previous comments. I shop there often as my fiancé works at the Citizens Bank in the Acme next door, and am always treated very kindly! The owner generally gives me something marked down if I don't have enough money. Sure, they do not have the space like a total wine, but they do carry many specialty brands that I cannot find elsewhere! One review said they asked the person to check out at 7:45pm on a Sunday. Well yes! It is illegal in DE to sell after 8pm, they are just covering their bases. I would definitely recommend if you are in the Newark area. read more
