A great music center. Known them for over 17 years. They tutored my two kids in drums and keyboards. Both are now great instrumentalists and musicians though grown up and residenced in other States. Our church also buys musical instruments from them and just engaged their services to teach a group of our youth at the church how to play keyboards, drums, guitars, etc. Very accommodating, family oriented, friendly and always available. A great shop for brass instrument repairs. I've used them twice and was very happy both times. A dropped trumpet resulted in a stuck valve - in one week the valve was as good as new at a reasonable price. Another time I purchased a backup trumpet that had been poorly stored for many years. This review is a long time coming. My partner and I have each purchased instruments here, the people who run this place are super friendly. On several occasions when looking for strings, I've brought my filthy trash Bari Ukulele in and they string it up and clean it for me which is really cool. Today I got myself a Tenor Guitar and wanted to put it in "Chicago Tuning," but in my haste to tune it, I broke a string after having it out of the box for all of 3-5 minutes (everything I touch breaks!) I immediately put on my coat and drove over to University Music. The wonderful woman behind the counter is always as kind as can be, and willing to help when I come in with all of my issues. Love this place. (If you are a Bari Uke player and have not tried a Tenor Guitar, put it on your bucket list. This thing is fucking fun. I've not put it down since I came home, excepting while writing this review. Thank you University Music, you're the best music store around.) read more

Beaver is in the school band & one of his saxophone keys was broken. We rented it up in Manchester, NH & I wasn't looking forward to the ride back up there.The band instructor told me to try University Music. PRO - Went in & the lovely lady there was SUPER helpful. I figured I'd have to leave the sax & get a loaner. Nope, she went in back, fixed it & brought it out to me. All fixed. NO CHARGE either! Love her! CON - They didn't open till noon. I had to hang around for a while but there are plenty of stores nearby that kept me busy. SO - Next time we need an instrument or anything music related, I'm going here. You should too! read more

Amazing customer service. The staff were willing to help with me with any questions and made me feel welcome. The music book selection is second only to Amazon.
