I initially thought this office was a little disorganized, but the staff seemed fine, and the nurse practitioner I had initially had three appointments with was great. I had a medical issue to which I had contacted the office 3-4 times about via phone. The last contact I had made with the office was Thursday, and since then, I had not heard back from them at all. When I contacted them today and left a voicemail today, the receptionist became aggressive and unprofessional when I was stating that I had felt that my care at the office was not a priority, which was a concern to me. I spoke to the office manager who was kind, but have decided to take my business elsewhere, and will not be back. I do not recommend this Women's Care office, at least until they begin training their secretarial staff in professionalism - I encourage them to look into this. read more

I am so sorry to have made an appointment with this Dr Morgan Mackey for my teen niece first ever gyn appointment. The Dr and her assistant were totally insensitive, to an innocent teen. Then the doctor told her she needed surgery to remove her hymen, terrifying her. Dr Morgan kept pushing her to have a hymenectomy !! It was a horrible experience for a young woman to have to go through. Totally stressed her out .. I would never recommend doctor with no compassion especially an obgyn.. read more

Why would a medical provider's office purposefully stress out a pregnant woman? My daughter searched for two months for a doctor that would deliver at Banner Gateway (where I am receiving treatment for Stage IV cancer) and was in-network with her Cigna plan. She finally found one! While she had to jump through hoops to get an appointment prior to her 14th week of pregnancy, she was successful. However, when she showed up for the appointment, she was charged $93 upfront, before she could go forward. So, she did. Then, she got notification from her insurance company that she only owed a $30 copay and, if she was charged more, to ask for a refund. When my daughter called the office to try to explain her understanding of the billing error, she had to wait over 25 minutes only to speak with a rude, impersonal, apathetic, or despondent person, prior to even reaching their "Billing Department." That same person finally returned to the line and told my daughter not only did she owe the $93 but an additional $400+ dollars! When my daughter, looking at the statement from Cigna, clarified again what it said from Cigna, she was again placed on hold without any reason why. After an additional 10 minutes, the spokesperson and representative of this medical practitioner, came back to say, "we have to check with our Billing Department." Evidently, the doctor's office has precharged thousands of dollars for bloodwork that my daughter hasn't even had! Could that be fraudulent? My daughter is so frustrated that she finally found a doctor that she liked, but can't get through the front door without being fraudulently billed hundreds of dollars, that she is willing to go without prenatal care and just show up to Banner when she feels like she's going to have the baby. Why would any doctor or medical provider have staff such as this unless it was to intentionally double-bill their insurance carrier and the patient? You don't want anything to do with this office unless you're independently wealthy and can afford thousand-dollar office visits for prenatal care, especially with insurance! read more

Find it hard to give just one star but they were close. Get ready to sit and wait and don't think your getting out in any reasonable amount of time. Often left in the waiting room for 30 minutes only to wait more in the exam room. Honestly Dr offices should not be so blasé about our time when clearly it's valuable to everyone. If I'm being SUPER honest they seem to want to pitch all these tests and sign you up for 1000 visits when clearly we all came into this world without all that previously. This is an industry that has clearly changed and grown but I don't think it's all been for the better. I have more to say but won't as I have already ranted enough. I know nothings perfect but this place doesn't even try. Just an FYI....You probably shouldn't allow people to get stuck on hold when you decide to leave for the day. Was on hold over an hour. This place has turned into a dump since they sold the business and changed their name. I was with dr Huish for years and i got such great care. Now they are rescheduling you several times. Waiting an hour just to give blood tests... the office is a mess and they dont let people know when appointments are cancelled so you go in and find out once you get there. Just a mess and no respect for patients time. Runs like the DMV now just waiting forever and very dysfunctional. And they are about to lose huish next year to retirement and he was the only one i trusted for care anyway. read more

I have been coming here a couple years now and am just now showing interest in my infertility and I am beyond disappointed. It says on their website listed services that they treat infertility but they referred me over to a fertility specialist that my insurance does not cover as soon as I asked. I have never tried something as simple as clomid before being transferred which is why I am so disappointed. Also Ms Craig told me that the doctor does HSG & D&Cs but when I called back to tell them the fertility clinic wasn't covered on my insurance I was told Dr. Huish does not do HSGs. It really is a shame because I actually like Dr. Huish but I may yet again have to find a new doctor. This place is great otherwise if you don't have fertility problems. Update: I have been coming here for 7 years now and am searching for a new gynaecologist as of today. If you have anything wrong with you or any test come back abnormal and you miss their call you can forget about getting through to anyone or getting a call back that day, or the next, or the following day. I literally could NOT get a call back after calling a couple times a day for a few days in a row to find out why they called me. I literally had to drive 20-25 minutes to their office and request a print out of my lab results when they simply could have just called me. I understand they may not care about my health and wellbeing but I DO!!!! Y'all went from being great to just pocketing as much as y'all can. I like Dr. Huish but I can't deal with the impersonality or lack of professionalism anymore. It shouldn't matter what insurance someone has. Everyone should be treated with the utmost care, dignity, and respect as we are all human! read more

This is the most poorly run dr.'s office I've ever tried to make an appointment with. After a lengthy search through my insurance network to find a dr, I reserved an appointment and received a confirmation number. A few days latter a very rude appointment setter contacted me and said a new patient could not enroll for an appointment on-line, insisted I be given an appointment for 2 weeks later despite being told it wasn't a well woman exam-- that I was experiencing a problem. I waited over 30 days to get in-- at 8 am on the morning of my new appointment-- they called and said the provider wasn't in that day, and I'd have to be moved to a new appointment another 2 1/2 weeks out! And the person I was supposed to see-- was changed without them telling me about it. NO WAY! I feel sure I dodged a huge bullet. This place does not care about their patients at all. Not reliable. I'm sure the quality of care is worse. read more

Dr Huish is absolutely AWESOME!! I started going when I was pregnant in 2021 and he delivered my first baby in 2021. I've been going back for well woman's visits since. He makes you feel super comfortable, takes his time and makes sure everything is going well. The ladies who work at the front desk and also the Ultrasound tech are amazing too! I'm pregnant with my first child and scheduled with this office as they're close to my house, the reviews about the doctor himself were good and it also seemed at first that they were all about getting me in as soon as possible for the blood work to determine how far along I am to get me in asap for my first ultrasound. I have PCOS and endometriosis which makes me more likely to have a miscarriage so I was wanting to get seen as soon as possible to make sure everything is going as it should. At my first set of labs the MA (I believe) answered some questions for me and stated that if my progesterone is low that they'll get me on progesterone to help maintain the pregnancy. I got notified of my Labcorp results and as expected my progesterone was lower than it should be but still no phone call. I went in for my 2nd round of lab work and still nothing was said to me about the progesterone. Wednesday evening (before the long holiday weekend) I noticed a missed call from their office after their regular business hours with no message or anything left for me entailing what the call might have been about. I called back and since I wasn't experiencing any life threatening emergency I wasn't able to get any answers. I received another notification of my lab results and my progesterone is still lower than what it needs to be. Yesterday (Sunday) I woke up with an awful headache, extreme dizziness and the constant feeling like I was going to pass out, along with some cramping. I went to the hospital in which they discovered that I have a subchorionic hemorrhage and I needed to follow up with my doctor asap and no longer than a week. I called University Obstetrics and the front desk girl seemed like she could care less and took it in her own hands to see when she could get me in (without consulting the medical professional first), while of course mentioning how full their schedule is, and scheduled me for next week. I then asked if a MA or someone can call me because this condition makes me even more likely to miscarry and I'm extremely concerned, in which she stated that she can try to have someone give me a call this afternoon in between patients. I went out on a limb trying out this office and I'm very disappointed. I wound up calling my original OBGYN, Dr. Leonard at Morning Star and the front desk staff greeted me with kindness and compassion, they asked me all of the necessary questions of what happened at the hospital and said they would call me back. They called me back within 20 minutes after speaking with Dr. Leonard himself and he is requesting that I come in tomorrow for an ultrasound and a follow up with him. If you want yours and your baby's health to be taken seriously and genuinely in the hands of a medical professional, DO NOT come to University Obstetrics. The front office will decide when they want to get you in regardless of what issues your experiencing without the consult of the doctor. And I still have not heard anything in regards to my lab results/progesterone levels. read more

I've always had issues with people explaining things to me, and it's always a confusing thing that I deal with. When Talia left I was hesitant on coming back since I adored her. But I saw Erica at my last appointment and she's absolutely amazing. She sat down with myself and my boyfriend to explain lab results in the way I could understand. And made sure I had all the questions I needed answered out. Her bedside manner and humble personality are phenomenal. I couldn't imagine having someone better than Talia was, but I think I've found that. I would suggest this office to any of my lady friends. read more

So many women say good things about Dr. Huish but his quality of care, bedside manner, and empathy are severely lacking. Before my pelvic exam I told him my cervix is tender but he ignored me. He was so rough during my pelvic exam that it felt violating. The nurse (standing in the room) looked alarmed as I expressed my horrible discomfort. Afterwards, I got in my car and cried. I would give him zero stars if I could. I ended up getting a call a few weeks later because the sample he took during the exam had "blood smear" and the lab couldn't see what they needed to. I REFUSE to go back to him and be violated like that again. The only reason I ranked three stars is because of Erika Biggs P.A. She deserves 5+ stars. She has always listened to my concerns, done extensive research on my behalf, and her bedside manner is fabulous. If you decide to see anyone at this office I recommend her. read more

It's sad that women love the doctor so much here that the staff and there billing practices can be so bad. Doctor Huish, apparently is really good. The billing which is currently third party is terrible. The office tells you just call us we will take care of you. If you are going to do your own billing a couple thoughts for you. 1- set up a voice-mail for billing (don't just tell us your closed and don't have time for you) 2 - have some people work later into the evening say 6 or 7 to take care of people who want to pay but work the same schedule as you. 3 - if you don't like customer, patients, or whatever than consider online bill pay it's novel and requires no extra hours no overtime etc. Very disappointed I suppose if doctor Huish had to spend a half hour to an hour talking to a frustrated patient or client instead of making 300 dollars for a fifteen minute stop in he might make the changes. Everytime I call I get placed on hold. I leave voicemails and never receive a call back. Today I called inquiring on a 3D ultrasound and Jamie was not only uninviting but completely rude over the phone. I was completely turned off by her phone etiquette that I decided not to have my ultrasound after all. This office is incredibly unprofessional. I was pregnant in 2020 and googled this place. Receptionists and nurses are nice and patient. Doc seems ok and it was so close to home. However nightmare begins. They dont have ultra sound nurse available when the time i have to do a screening. They didnt call me and explain but arranged me with another ultra sound clinic. I missed the call as i thought it was fraud. When i visited the eric, he was surprised i didn't go to the other place, well i am more surprised that you don't follow up or notify your own patient with such an important screening. Therefore they told me i have no choice at this point but to do the blood testing called Progenity and of course it is OUT OF NETWORK of my insurance. Since i would take part of the responsibility of missing the appt, and most important nurse/assistant promised me that i would be paying NO over than $200. Yep, Progenity ended up charging my insurance over $1000.00 and asked me to pay $569.98 from my own pocket and i am not qualified for any of their mercy program that could lower my cost. This is not over yet, i finally delivered my baby at Banner, doc took longer than i thought to complete the c section (this is my 2nd c sec) and during the time chatting with the medical assistant about vacation. I felt weird that they were giggling during my c sec in the beginning. 2nd day after surgery, i had a sharp pain and couldnt pee. With nursing reaching out multiple times to eric, he finaly signed to send me to take CT, guess what, they found a HOLE in my bladder. OMG, urologist explained it was most likely due to c section and when ob peeled the uterus and bladder, the hole was caused. So i ended up opening my c sec cut and fixed my broken bladder. Carrying the catheter bag for 14 days is the hardest time in my life. I feel old, useless, pathetic and stupid. Thanks to the greatest doc that making all these. When i return to office, he was simply saying i feel bad for the situation but this is the risk you should take when you doing c sec. WHAT? I am done, i didnt argue or got any reimbursement but just want to leave in peace. However after 1 month, $2500.00 bill shows on my insurance page, medical assistant billed me this tremendous amount of money and again OUT OF NETWORK. lord, again. How come OB didnt tell me at all? Why everything seems so chaos with your office? i really dont understand. I emailed the office no reply, after 2 weeks called the office, the girl Amy answered the phone, who sounds very inpatient and indifferent: DR HUISH said this is your own responsibility and we cant do anything about it. WOW, why you never mentioned this before the delivery? i am obviously not the only patient you have operated on, not sure how many other women's bladder you have messed up with, this is ridiculous. Warning for other moms or to be moms to be careful with clinic like this. You will be paying a lot more than what you are supposed to and doc office will just be ignoring your complains and requests. read more

I am forever grateful to Dr. Huish; he helped me maintain my pregnancies after 2 miscarriages. His P.As are pretty awesome too.. I went in last year because I felt a lump on my breast and sent me to get tested/biopsied. I came back to the office after the biopsies and she helped me get genetic testing. Needless to say I am a very happy patient of theirs. Although I plan on never having kids again I will still continue coming to this office instead of my regular dr for my yearly women exams. read more

University ob/gyn was the second ob I went to when I became pregnant. The first was rude and cold and I never got the same person. So they never knew what was going on. I was extremely sick the first 5 months so I was having to go in every other week, so I wasn't happy at all. So when I went to University ob/gyn to see Dr. Huish (a friend referred me who was also pregnant) I was so much happier! I am 13 weeks pregnant, I slipped and fell yesterday in Walmart and currently having severe back pain as it progressed over night. I was told the earliest they could get me in was Wednesday. When we moved here 3 years ago I was worried about finding a dr I liked as much as I did in our old state. I went to a few other places but they were just fine for normal check ups. When I found out I was pregnant I knew I needed to keep looking. I found Dr Huish and was so happy with his practice. He made me feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. The nurses and PA are great and we love the ultrasound tech! I just delivered twins with him and for such a tough pregnancy he helped make it go as smooth as possible! Hands down, Dr. Huish is one of the best doctors ever. He is very professional, yet has a very down to earth bedside manner. He delivered my twins and always eased any concerns I had during my pregnancy. I continue to go to him for my well woman exams, and plan for my daughters to do the same. I love the doctors here, they are humorous and down to earth and make light of uncomfortable situations. But the rest of the staff is awful. They are not welcoming whatsoever. They are rude and impatient and make me feel like I shouldn't be there. The nurses and technicians seem constantly irritated and have no problem letting you know in just they way they portray themselves around the place. I had to get an ultrasound here earlier to determine whether or not I was a good candidate for an IUD and the ultrasound technician acted like I was wasting her time and she really made it show, even in the way she carried herself in the room and spoke to me. She threw an attitude at me when she asked if I had a full bladder and I had said no. I guess you're supposed to have a full bladder to see the uterus on ultrasound, but how am I supposed to be aware of this considering I am not doctor and I've never been pregnant and gone through this. It was like she was frustrated that she wouldn't be looking for a baby (and it's a waste of time if she isn't) and had to take an extra step to get the job over with. She was very rude to my concerned and poite fiance who was with me witnessing all of this. The front staff also has no clue about anything either, especially when it comes to insurance or billing. I had received a phone call regarding my previous appointment and missed the call, they left no voicemail, so I went to call them back and the phone lines are CLOSED FOR LUNCH. Really? Staff can't have rotated lunches to serve clients properly? Called back after "lunch" and there's no way to actually talk to someone without having to leave a message and get a call back - which doesn't work for someone who isn't glued to their phone 24/7, that only results to more missed calls. Anyway, never figured out what that call was about and when I asked about it in the office they all looked at each other blankly, so I said "nevermind" and figured no news is good news. I will be going back my last time to receive my prescription, but I haven't yet decided if I will make this my go-to office. It's 50/50. read more

I wanted to give it a while before posting. Our last OB doctor's office was horrible and w had a very traumatic miscarriage with little to no concern on their behalf. Dr. Huish is the exact opposite. From the beginning, he reassured us that everything was alright, the baby was well and so was mamma. He always had answers, never pressured us and always was polite and courteous. The staff there is great too. We never seemed like a burden. The ultrasound tech were amazing also, especially the lady with longer hair (forgot her name). Now, after the birth of our first child, Dr. Huish was fantastic during the delivery. Basically lived at the hospital towards the end of the labor. He gave realistic expectations and suggestions, ultimately leading to us choosing the vacuum pump to get our son out. And he did it perfectly. We love this office and Dr. Huish and highly recommend anyone else. In fact my wife's sister in law and family now go too. read more

I was so nervous about finding a new OB in AZ. I just came from Texas where the medical care is nothing short of amazing. I had really high expectations however Dr. Huish and his staff eased my mind my first appointment. The office is newly updated very nice and clean. All your lab work, ultrasound testing etc is done in his office so no need to drive all around for each test. Which is very convenient. This is my third pregnancy so I have a good idea when something feels off, I felt myself developing symptoms of pica which I had in my 2nd pregnancy. I addressed my concerns to Dr. Huish, without any hesitation he ordered the proper test. Sure enough my instincts were right. I am happy Dr. Huish trusted my judgment and put my mind at ease. Dr. Huish is always very nice. I never feel rushed. The staff is professional and friendly. To top it off he delivers at the best hospital in the valley to deliver a baby (Banner gateway) & he's been delivering babies for 18+ years! read more
