My experience with Blake as an international advisor was extremely disappointing!!' Throughout my interactions with him, I found him extremely unhelpful, dismissive, and poorly informed about issues that are important to me and my friends. Rather than providing clear guidance, he often left us with more confusion and uncertainty than I had before seeking help. What was most frustrating was the apparent lack of concern for our student needs. Many interactions felt rushed and dismissive, as though our questions and concerns were an inconvenience rather than a core part of the job. He doesn't understand us because of accent and also he has not been in our position before. I also feel like he hates secretly us because we got more money than him and he has nothing But a weird hair cut. based on my interactions, I would not recommend seeking assistance from Blake or anyone in this office. They don't have our interests in mind and want us to be deported. My gut tells me that. I transferred Out to another school and wish that never wasted time at UWB. This school was a huge disappointment. The tuition is far too expensive for what you actually get in return, and charging for parking on top of that just feels unreasonable. It often seems like they take your money without providing real value or support. Even after earning a computer science degree, I've struggled to find a job in the field--it's been two years since graduating with no success. That says a lot about how well the program prepares students for real-world opportunities. I would not recommend this campus. If anything, go to the main campus instead. The Bothell and Tacoma locations don't feel like they offer the same quality of education or resources. Overall, it feels like students are not a priority here. This was honestly one of the biggest mistakes I've made. Stay away--it's incredibly disappointing, and I can't emphasize enough how poor the experience was or how much of a waste it feels to have earned a diploma from here. My experience at this university has been very disappointing. I've felt miserable here due to the lack of a social scene, a boring and lifeless campus, and very few opportunities to engage in anything enjoyable. The atmosphere often feels gloomy, and I've struggled to connect with others, as the social environment feels disconnected and unwelcoming. students are weird like from another planet. On top of that, some academic programs seem poorly structured or not properly accredited, which raised serious concerns for me. For these reasons, I've made the decision to transfer to a university that better aligns with my academic goals and personal well-being. read more

The only reason I went here is because of school reputation. But it's been extremely hard to make it to campus 3-4 times a week. They barely offer online or hybrid classes. I live 30 miles away from campus but nobody cares. All classes in my program are on campus in the middle of the day. nothing in the evening. It's impossible to have a day job and study there. can't wait to graduate this June but honestly would not recommend anyone to go through all this hell just for UW diploma. read more

I was driving along I-405 about to turn onto Highway 522 when my tire air pressure warning light started flashing. I had not seen this light flashing before so I decided to get off at the next exit and pull over at the first parking lot I could easily find and that was not 30 minutes or less parking. I have gotten a flat tire before, so I was looking for a place where I could park, inspect the tires on my car, and change a tire if need be. Following the road off the freeway I found myself on campus at the University of Washington Bothell. I pulled into the first parking garage I could easily spot (turned out to be the North Parking Garage) and parked my car. Since I didn't know how long I was going to be I went to see if they had a way for me to pay to park in the garage. They did! I could pay with card or cash, I chose to pay with cash. The smallest increment I found was paying for 1-3 hours of parking. I selected this option, entered my car's license plate number, inserted my $5 bill, took the receipt and displayed it on my dashboard. I inspected each of my car's tires and read up in my owner's manual to figure out what the problem was. A campus map by the walking entrance to the parking garage helped me figure out where I had parked on campus and what was around me, helping provide me with a sense of safety. I was trying to stay in contact with my parents and my uncle and my aunt as I was traveling from Shoreline to Cashmere and found cell phone reception between the concrete levels in the parking garage to be spotty. The garage has a stairway and an uncovered upper level where I could look out over the campus building, athletic fields, and what looked to be a community gardens of sorts. On this upper level I found cell phone reception to work best. Turns out the problem with my car was a malfunctioning tire pressure warning system not low air pressure in any of the tires. After talking this through with my parents and agreeing that this was the likely problem I was on the road for Cashmere again. Finding the UW Bothell campus was extremely straightforward as was finding the parking garage and paying for parking. The campus is absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed taking in the views while on the phone figuring out what was wrong with my car. read more

All instructors are tough, I spend about 80 hours a week on my homework. I'm always tired and unable to remain any job. School is taking my entire life, no time for friends and family, no time for sleep, walks. I am SO out of here!! Tacoma is much easier and you will get the same diploma. Plus Bothell is super expensive and bougie. There are no fun places or clubs here. Just some boring family rich neighborhood. read more

Just a head's up, when we went on a campus tour yesterday we found out only when we specifically asked to see the dorms that THERE'S NO HOUSING at UW Bothell this year, and possibly not until some time in 2023. They're renovating the dorm buildings, and there doesn't appear to be any alternate housing within walking distance of campus. You'd think the UW Bothell website would tell you this, and discuss their plans to house incoming Freshman, but you'd be wrong to think this. So before you send that acceptance, make sure you have a plan for where you're going to stay. read more

I had an amazing experience pursuing my bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of Washington Bothell. I chose this campus because I wanted to receive my degree from UW, but I didn't want to have to travel all the way to Seattle to do so. While being a full-time student, I was also working full-time in Bellevue, so commuting to the Bothell campus after work was never an issue. Another thing that I liked about UW Bothell is the cohort system. Students are given the option to join either the day or night cohort, and the group of students that you start with is the same group of students that you graduate with. Being able to join the night cohort (because of my work schedule) and developing close relationships with many students throughout many quarters is something that I will remember for a long time. Many of the students that I took classes with very quickly became close friends, and many of us still talk regularly. The UW Bothell campus and facilities were very nice. The outdoor areas were always clean and well-groomed, and classrooms and buildings were much the same. The small class sizes at UW Bothell was something that I was grateful for. I am very much an interactive learner (I like to have regular communication with the professors and other students), and the small class sizes catered to my learning styles, and enabled me to graduate Magna Cum Laude. Many of the professors I had at UW Bothell were awesome! Granted, just like anywhere else, some professors were not that great. There is really not much anyone can do about that. Much like in life, some people just suck. A handful of professors in the marketing department stood out for me. I always like to have fun and joke around with any professor that I have, but one professor in particular felt like a friend every time I was in her class. Ceri Nishihara, professor and expert on all things marketing, conducted class in such a way that fostered group participation and learning, and made every class period fun. In her Marketing Management Lab class, groups of students were required to give multiple 2-hour presentations throughout the quarter. This may seem daunting to anyone, but the way Ceri conducted class made it fun. By requiring that students know the material well enough to lecture on a topic for 2 hours was a challenging but rewarding experience. I didn't necessarily have this same outlook when I was spending many late nights highlighted pages and pages of documents, pulling my already thinning hair out, and writing lengthy papers, but now that I've graduated and its all over, I have nothing but fond memories of her classes. One negative aspect of UW Bothell is the amount of available parking. As if driving to class and preparing for a 2-hour presentation isn't stressful enough, finding a parking spot was always an issue. There were many times when I walked into class a few minutes late because a few minutes earlier I was circling the parking lot for an available spot, like a buzzard looking for a feast. Did I experience any road rage? I'm glad you asked. I will admit that the lack of parking, and the stress that is associated with that, did cause a couple outbursts. If you're reading this and have been affected by one of my parking-related outbursts, you may be entitled to compensation. Please call 1-800-IMSORRY. I don't know what the solution to the parking problem is, but I hope it gets addressed soon, because I know for a fact that I'm not the only student who has had this experience. Anyone who wants to receive a quality education, and build lifelong relationships with both students and faculty should seriously considering UW Bothell. Their motto is to "be boundless", and I believe that the skills and knowledge I acquired while studying here have enabled me to do just that. read more

I graduated from UW Seattle and chose UWB for more education. I guess I hadn't had enough yet! I was unsure about going to UWB, but I really am glad I made that decision. UWB is a quaint school and the quality of education is much higher due to the smaller classroom size. The school only has one lecture hall and even that isn't too large. Going from a class with a few hundred students to a class of 40 is awesome to say the least. The school is definitely expanding. They know their potential and they're certainly reaching for it. SIDE NOTE: Congrats to UWB business PROGRAM for becoming a nationally-renowned business SCHOOL come March 26th! Yay! Currently a senior and transfer student from Cascadia, I find UWB to be an extension of Cascadia in that they're on the same campus and have the same classroom styles and share amenities. And this is perfectly fine with me. It feels like I never left Cascadia, but that's a different review. UWB has great faculty, great tech and a wonderful seriousness to it. As a non-traditional older student, I'm thrilled I don't have to deal with the shenanigans of youth (or maybe I'm just envious). Classes are smaller and more intimate, especially when you start getting into your major. However, the variety for some majors is pretty sparse. And it's pretty expensive. Now, the hellishness of UWB: the parking. Ugh. Just ... ugh. Four weeks into the quarter and there are still classmates showing up more than a half hour late to class because they've been driving through the lot and the garage for literally over 45 minutes looking for a spot. Fortunately, my age and experience have taught me to be ridiculously early for anything having to do with this campus -- and I've not been late to class once. I guess the moral of this story is to not wait to try to get a parking spot when you have to be in class in 10 minutes. Ain't gonna happen. Granted, that's the fault of the student. And sometimes it can't be avoided due to jobs and childcare, etc. However, if there were ample space for parking, this wouldn't be as much of an issue. read more

I had been so bummed that I had screwed myself over as a young kid in Community College screwing around and not getting good grades... my younger days came back to bite me in the butt when I finally grew up and actually wanted to go to school. My grades were too poor to get into the UW and I was super sad. However... then I found out about the UW Bothell! You still graduate with a degree from the "University of Washington"! And the program I chose ended up being perfect for me. I received my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Science, Technology (not so much) and the Environment. I really wanted to get my degree in Environmental Science or Wildlife Biology but not only did I not have the gpa from community college to get into the UW Seattle campus, I also did not have the pre-req's to do that program anyways. This program at UW Bothell allowed me to get a GREAT education in Environmental Science! It is a Bachelor of Arts though, not a Bachelor of Science, so that is a downfall for some people. However it is perfect for me as I don't intend to do the actual scientific work, I just want to work in the field of helping the environment. I'm a better writer than a biologist. The professors at UW Bothell are incredible!! The majority of them are very approachable and extremely capable. In particular, the two main Environmental Science professors that I had, Martha Groom, and Warren ... , were amazing instructors! I learned so much from them and really enjoyed the classes. The field trips were fun too! A perk about being at the Bothell campus is that the class size is only about 15 - 50 students per class. This really allows you to build relationships with your professors and get some one-on-one attention should you need it. The classes also don't end up always being straight out lecture since it isn't a hall of 300 students. It's a much better learning environment in my opinion. Additionally the campus has a wide range of students. There are some students fresh out of community college, especially since they now have the community college on the same campus - but I was going as a 30 something student and I would say that half of the students were 30 - 60 years old. I loved that!! Parking can be a challenge, but what school doesn't have a parking challenge? Besides parking, the location is great, the campus is beautiful and most of the professors can't be beat. Long story short- the childhood dream of going to UW (Seattle) straight from high school didn't work out. Several years after completing a Associates from Cascadia CC, I decided to finish at UWB. I was apprehensive at first- is this a real UW? I feel like I'm missing out... I couldn't have been more wrong! The smaller campus size is actually quite a benefit. Not only can I walk between the UW buildings in under 5min (try doing that in the Seattle campus), class sizes are smaller so there's more 1:1 attention, and parking isn't terrible (still college campus parking, but they have lots of garage and lot spots). Also, since it's a smaller school, Professors are easy to contact and more than helpful. The staff has been amazing- from admittance to advising, they have all been friendly, welcoming and helpful. Also, the school is friendly to the "non traditional" students, so night & weekend classes are available and professors understand balancing school and a career. Also, the campus is located on protected wetland and has a major focus on environmental sustainability through not only classes but the building itself. Things may not have worked out for the Seattle campus, but I'm glad it brought me here. I definitely recommend UWB to a friend. (Why only four stars? Parking can be sticky, and limited degree programs- but those are expanding.) read more

I'm glad I decided to pursue higher education here. I really didn't want to choose a huge campus, so I decided to go to UWB instead of the campus in Seattle, and I do not regret my decision. UWB has a very welcoming and inclusive atmosphere (one of the best, if not the most, perks of this campus), and I truly felt that the professors invested a lot in making sure students succeed and feel welcome. This campus has a lot of resources for students as well, such as the writing and communication center, career services center, and the quantitative skills center. One of the biggest and most popular complaints about this school is the parking. Yes, parking can be bad, especially around 12-3pm in the afternoon. However, if you come ahead of time before your class starts instead of last minute, there shouldn't be an issue. I've never had an issue with parking because I get there with enough time to spare to avoid this problem. Another minor problem is the lack of food options. Though I never really used their food services that much, there are not a whole lot of options for food (Subway, 2 cafes, and daily food truck). Registering for class is also one of the issues that bugged me because all of the classes I wanted to take ended up being filled, even though I was ready to register right when registration opened. By the time I got senior status, some of these classes weren't available during this time, which was frustrating but I was able to take other interesting classes. I'm was in the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences program and I really enjoyed what I've learned over the course of my education at UWB. My experience has consisted of a lot of writing papers, group work and projects, presentations, and group/class discussions. The professors I've had have been really knowledgeable and passionate about what they're teaching. Overall, I've had mostly good experiences here. read more

I have BA degree in Psychology from main UW campus. I started going to get my BS in Nursing. I attended the full day orientation as required. They gave us NO ORIENTATION to canvas. Canvas is they computer program you use to do coarse work. I called IT department because I couldn't do my coarse work. They kept saying due to my MAC computer. I went to Microsoft store U Village and still had problems. I sent email to dean of nursing program. I got insulting email back stating technology was part of nursing program and it was my responsibility to figure it out. I withdrew, and lost my $5,000.00 tuition. Stay as far away from this nursing school as possible!!!! I have been working as hospital RN for almost 14 years, I am a proven nurse who can do the job. Kate W read more
