Now ive done a bit of traveling and sometimes a place that looks great can be kinda gimmicky, so this was my fear with this location, BUT now that I have been I can promise Mystery Spot was easily my favorite part of our trip. The owner was there, she was funny and kind and very knowledgeable! Another highlight was a shock, the layout! it was so easy to walk through and get lost in each room, everything was organized and easy to look through. I can't say enough how much that helped, I hate feeling like a bull in a china shop so feeling comfortable walking around was a big factor for me. My partner and I purchased our first antique and have our eye on our next purchase here, giving us an excuse to come back to the beautiful little paradise that is Phoenicia. Thank you Mystery Spot! There are amazing finds that I have not seen anywhere else - there are wonderful one-of-a-kind pieces that I have not seen anywhere else- there are 80s sweaters and dresses and jackets you can wear every day and don't need an office or a party to go to. I personally love sequins and just finding and owning special pieces (and the prices here aren't nuts) but spring is coming and with vaccines will come seeing more people so I'll be able to look great- which will be especially nice since basically no one has seen me other than zoom for year. Antiques are reasonably priced and affordable. There is absolutely no thrift shop -- "second-hand", musty feel to this store. They also have a beautiful and tasteful jewelry selection.
