Great secondhand store! Clothing, household items, books, etc. Found Uggs Sandals in my size (5.5!!) for $8. Will definitely return.

Clothes are high quality and very reasonably priced! Sales ladies were also extremely helpful!

Neat second hand shop in the main shopping area on Warren Street. The staff were super friendly and gave my mom and wife a good deal on the items they purchased. I didn't find anything I was interested in but they do have a decent selection available so don't pass them up if in the area. In the back of the store they have a free shelf and a rack of free costumes available which is great if you're on a budget for Halloween. All-in-all, it was worth the stop. read more

Second show is heaven on earth. In a town that sometimes seems to becoming more pretentious by the minute, this shop remains true to its values. It raises funds for terrific charities and it sells fantastic affordable items. I've found $150 pants for $7. I've found lamps and cookware and sweaters and necklaces and so much more . The Second Show is a great little second hand thrift stores snuggled in a mix of higher-end antique stores on Warren Street. Like most thrift stores the selection is dependent upon what people donate. When we were in the area in November I found a cool hat and a great little vase for my office. The staff is very friendly and they really adhere to social distancing and limiting how many people can be in the store at once which makes the experience feel safer and better. read more

Walked in at 4:27 pm (online says they close at 5pm). Rather than being greeted with, "Hello, welcome in," it was, "Just so you know, we close in 5 minutes." We turned right around and left. If customers and business aren't worth their time don't waste yours going. read more

Amazingly kind staff! I was in Hudson on a day trip and stumbled in on their 50% off day to clear for July's inventory. Got some amazing bargains -- great value for money and such a fun staff to shop with. Found a great purse and got a book as well as some dishware and a shirt - all for under $8! read more

Built for the community, sustained by the community, and benefiting the community, this shop has a heart all it's own. Ask "the store" for something that you need, and with a little time and patience, it will come in when you do. Staff is made of volunteers, so every person you meet is someone who wants to be there. They are open to helping those who need it, occasionally will negotiate, and are reasonably priced. They are clean, organized, and have a half price sale every month! read more

The Second Show is God's gift to Hudson. I was in there this weekend, circles under my eyes and completely worn out with the winter blues, and the extraordinary Carol Lavender directed me to a treasure of a black fringed suede skirt that fit like a dream. Suddenly, life was a little bit Parisian! Retail therapy, at a price that won't break the bank. And here's a big thumbs up for all those cheerful volunteers, too. I recommend saving all your best no-longer-needed stuff to donate here. For one thing, the city is full of people who don't drive ,and they appreciate having a fun and an affordable place to shop. I was just in there with my young cousin who is disabled and uses a walker. The old lady behind the counter made strange comments to her when we walked in the door. A few minutes later, she sought out my cousin in an aisle and asked her "shouldn't you be running?" Hilarious joke to make to a handicapped person. We left the store angry and upset that a shop owner would pick on my cousin for no reason. Rude and mean! read more

I come to town probably 6 times a year, and have always loved to come to this store as everyone in the past has been so friendly. I walked in there today to grab a couple things, as I was walking to the register to pay and make my donation I was informed by a younger girl I have never seen in the store that "you know we close at 5 o'clock, I told her I realized that, and that was why I was trying to pay my bill as it was just turning 5, she informed me that she was a volunteer and she had things to do. As I was trying to pay my bill she just went on and on about how she had things to do, finally after listening to her complain for about 5 minutes rather than ring my purchase up, I left the store, never to return or say a good thing about the place. read more

First stumbled upon the store while designing theatrical productions and have been addicted ever since. Store Manager Carol Lavendar, Asst. Manager Bobbi Bush and the volunteer staff of many have fun with what they do and it shows. From the free book boxes, the free rack, half price day at the end of the month and cheap finds that you cannot find anywhere else in Hudson, this place is a gem. As a non-profit, they donate the funds they get from sales to Columbia Memorial Hospital Foundation and to Operation Unite. read more

I have always found the staff to be friendly and extremely helpful. This is a fun place to shop and an oasis with a big heart for all of the members of the community it serves. What a delightful thrift store, one of the best I have seen (and that's saying something). The volunteers clearly take pride in their "merchandising" and items are arranged well and sizes noted for the wide array of clothing. Book shopping was a challenge because there were so many of interest and I was on a trip with limited luggage capacity. Highly recommend this place and from what a "local" told me the first Tuesday of the month is the best time to shop as that's' when they put out the "best" stuff from the previous month's donations! Its probably too far from Austin to come back for a "first Tuesday" but I can tell you I am tempted! It is cash or check only. read more
