After being told by 3 companies they were extremely booked for months, a couple companies were waaaaay out of our price range, and many didn't even bother to respond to my requests. Our friends just-so-happened to have South Texas Curb Appeal's business card. Curtis was out the very next day, on time, to give us a quote. Not only was he very friendly, he explained what needed to be done, how he was going to do it and how it would look after. He never pressured us to make a sale and even offered a bit of a military discount. (Side note; one business owner literally laughed when he told me they don't do military discounts ) We paid him half up front and again, showed up with his crew on time (on a day with a heat index of 106!) and got right to work. We had very tall, mature palms surrounded by fences, pergolas, trellises, the house and pool. I took a video before hand because with my luck, something was going to end up damaged. I'm happy to report I was wrong. Curtis and his crew are literal angels at removing huge trees. We're so happy with the results. I didn't think it was possible to get stumps so low to the ground! I can go right over them when cutting the lawn. They also took the time to edge the entire back yard AND Curtis found our pool skimmer and got out any grass clippings. Included in the price was the bonus of having all the trees and debris hauled away as well! Some companies charged a ton extra for this, one told us to call the city and they'll haul it away for $50 (?). Another made it sound like he would do us a favor by putting it all on the curb for us.
