I ask for help with my flower beds. Showed pictures and explained my needs. I ask if there was a better plant for my flower beds. Purchased 5 plants $35.00 each. Planting mix and organic plant starter. $222.00. I followed planting instructions from their expert. Returned with pictures 6 days later. Very concerned the plants appeared to be dying. I watered by hand every day as instructed. I was told I need to water more. Two days later after watering more plants look dead. I am disappointed in the lack of professional help. read more

Turners has such an extensive selection of all plants and trees. They have edibles, exotics, and your everyday tree, shrub, and houseplant. The staff is super helpful. They seek you out, to make sure you find what you are looking for, and answer any questions. The prices are a little steep, but the staff and quality are amazing. read more

I'm a beginner to gardening outdoors so I wasn't super familiar with all the products I'd need for the plants I was picking up and where I'd find them and what they looked like. But Turners staff was incredibly helpful, showing me where I'd find the plants I was looking for, talking to me about the size of my project, I even had a staff member go out of his way to make sure I wasn't buying more than what I needed for the job I was trying to accomplish! Turners has a very friendly and inviting atmosphere and staff seems truly informed, I highly recommend! read more

They have a wonderful array of exotic houseplants and veggie/fruit transplants available for spring. Also had a wide variety of garden bed flowers. Only got a pretty big Elephant Ear 'Mojito' p.p. (Colocasia esculenta hybrid) for $30 and a small rubber tree for $5. Pretty decent prices on a lot of things. Be mindful if you're unsure about a price, look it up to see if you're getting a good deal but I feel everything was fair. read more

Decent selection of plants. Staff is hit/miss. Guy who helped us was knowledgeable and helpful but very distracted as he was in demand. Management is the PROBLEM. Disinterested in customer service, unashamedly moody and unfriendly. The woman had a sour expression and kept on about a plant miss priced by 5 Pennie's! Poor cashier was so rattled by the woman staring at her she overcharged me by more than $200! My bill wound up to be almost $800 and there was no "thank you for business" attitude in sight!! I will never set foot in here again. Why I didn't go to Gills in the 1st place is beyond me!!! Go there instead!! read more

A 90 day return policy is not long enough if you are buying plants to be planted at a later day. I purchase several plants at one time to include Purple Trailing Lantanas. The Lantanas barely flowered once and afterwards began to die. The Cuban Gold Duranta I bought at the same time are doing great. I have Lantanas in other areas that are healthy and strong. Some from Turner's and Lowes. Turner's need to do better with their return policy since others give you up to 1 year to return plants. read more

In my opinion? Only go to Turners if you want some exotic flowers of the tropics, great crotons, palms, avacados and mangos. Otherwise go to Gill's. This place has a lot of people who don't know what they are talking about and organization and layout is sloppy and all over the place. Citrus nearly half of the selection is dead. Shade trees 60% are dead or overpriced. I wanted to love this place! read more

Two Stars so far.... Asked for someone to come out and paid their 75.00 fee for a proposal. It will be ready in two weeks I was told, 3 days shy of 4 weeks and no proposal. Actually I even had to call and leave a message and since have emailed to see what's up ( Not Good ) read more

This is the perfect place to browse, relax, enjoy outdoor beauty and build your outdoor haven or landscape. I'd been away from Corpus Christi for 30 years and was wonderful to return and see Turner's still on S.P.I.D. It was so refreshing to talk with people who know and love their business. I visited Tuner's booth at the home and garden show in Corpus. I made an appointment to have their landscape person to come out and give me an estimate to xeriscape my back yard. I paid the $75 fee for an estimate and was told he would be back in two or two and a half weeks. It has been a month and they have not contacted me.
