They have a weekly class blog so that you know what is going on in the class. Its only been a month of school and they already learned how to do tallies, graphs, probability. Its very focused on the core academics. My son is taking the after school program so now he is learning 2 languages Mandarin and Spanish. I thought he would hate it instead he looks forward to it and comes home talking to me like hey do you know how to count in Spanish? (He learned this just after 1 week of class) They also have yoga classes and the teacher is amazing, he can't wait to show me all these poses. I have seen his confidence grow so much in the past month. In his previous school he was a very quick learner and I was worried he wouldnt be challenged and just bored. I couldn't be more wrong. They tailor the homework and work to your child and aren't afraid to push them. If you are looking at private schools, in my opinion PJS is the top tier. I toured all of them in the area, PDS, Chapin, Friends etc. and at the end I took a chance with PJS only because I loved the open space. I was worried that academically it might not have been up to par with the other private school or public schools (I live in one of the top districts in the area). I have two friends going to the private schools mentioned (Kindergarten) and PJS quite frankly raises the bar. I think it is because of the new curriculum they have been using. This is a great school. You will not be disappointed sending your child here, if I only knew then what I do now. The choice would have been a no brainer.

The school has helped him grow and learn, but most importantly PJS has helped him grow to love learning! In his lessons he has found a joy in discovery and growth and a curiosity that will serve him well for the rest of his life. Our PJS student tells me that "This school is the best! The teachers are all really nice, we have great lessons and projects, and we learn a lot!" The IB orientation helps to teach in a way that each individual student can get the most from the lessons. Being part of an international community as an IB school is present in the population of the school and the curriculum they teach. Princeton Junior School is not just important to our rising 5th grader. Our entire family has found a community in PJS that supports our child and all of us, that has introduced us to families that have become our friends, and that we are proud to be a part of. Our child is the most important thing in our lives, and Princeton Junior School is a place that has earned our trust and our gratitude in helping him develop and grow into a strong student and curious global citizen.

The school is safe, nurturing, and educational within developmentally appropriate expectations. The staff at Lightbridge are truly dedicated to providing the best possible care for the children in their care. We've had exceptional teachers throughout the years, however Allison in particular stands out each day. Although their title is education coordinator, it is easily seen that they play any role needed day to day. I've seen her jump in to help pat my child to sleep for naptimes, handle any issues that arise with grace and compassion, greet my children by name each morning, and play silly roles like dressing up on groundhogs day. They truly seem to enjoy their job and make it more than just a job. The facilities at Lightbridge in Allentown are clean, safe, and well-maintained. There are facial recognition cameras to enter the facility, live stream cameras in each classroom for parent viewing, and their own app to keep you updated on day to day tasks. There is also a large outdoor play area where the children can run, play, and explore with two separate playground areas with sprinklers for water play in summers. My husband and I both work in the healthcare field with sometimes long hours. At times, this results in my children being at school more hours than I'd like. In an ideal world, we'd get to have our babies with us 24/7. Since this is not possible, Lightbridge is able to calm my very anxious mom heart, knowing my children love their school, are well cared for, and are thriving.

They mix 4 year olds with the 1 and 2 year olds. They are consistently out of ratio. They DO NOT bring the children outside on the play ground or for walks. They are stuck in that one room all day long. And then they wonder why they have such behavioral issues with the kids?! I have caught the staff in multiple lies between teachers and the directors/owners. Overall, these people promised us the world when we enrolled our child and didnt end up meeting any of those expectations. They were given directions by our childs Occupational Therapist on how to help him and they NEVER followed any of them. I would never EVER recommend this center to anyone, not even for a day! The land use is not overwhelmed so there's still plenty of open space & farmland to break up the ever-encroaching suburban development. The police are friendly & familiar to locals. It's only been the first week of sending my daughter here. To be frank it's her first time ever…read morebeing at a school for more than 3 hours. I noticed a lot of things from even the first day, she was talking a bit more & she was in a much more calm mood. WOW! I cannot say enough about Mathnasium! Our problems began when my son was moved to advanced…read moremath in 5th grade and skipped over some important skills. As he kept getting promoted the next few years, he actually kept falling further and further behind. He was really struggling and we could not figure out what was going on. Teachers told us everything was fine; he'll catch up eventually. But he didn't and as a result he lost all self confidence in himself, was frustrated, upset, ashamed and begging for help. He told me he felt like a failure and it crushed me. We were desperate for a solution but didn't know where to turn. We had felt we had exhausted all normal routes of teacher and school resources. On a holiday outing we passed Mathnasium and it sparked our curiosity. After literally one week of attending, I began to notice changes in my son. His self confidence was coming back and he didn't shy away from his work. It's now been about a month and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! His grades have gone from failing/barely passing to making high B's and A's! He has so much more comprehension of what he is doing and his anxiety level has dropped. He actually looks forward to his Mathnasium sessions and comes out of them with a smile on his face. He told me: "I'm so much calmer in class and actually understand more of what's going on. I don't panic anymore because I know I have a place to go to where I can get my questions answered without feeling embarrassed." As a parent, it just overwhelms me with gratitude to see the turnaround and his positive outlook. Casey and the staff are so patient, kind and welcoming. They have been able to make a learning connection and promote a new way of thinking that works for him. He nows says: "I can" instead of "I can't" and that makes all things possible! I can never sing Mathnasium's praises enough. You have literally changed my child's life! Thank you so much!
