He had irregular shaping on his head and didn't seem to have strength in his upper torso. Cried when put on his tummy and couldn't lift his head well or use both hands while on his tummy. After adjustment of his palate, the skull, and various places in his neck and torso, he was able to nurse for the first time with no fussing, thrashing, or latching issues. At this point the case manager informed me it was going to cost 5100 dollars out of pocket for them to provide me with 2 adjustments a week and decompression therapy etc. for 10 weeks to correct my back and shoulder issues. I should have been told the amount of what it would cost before being admitted without insurance because they had yet to verify my insurance even though I was referred to by my doctor and they had that information. If they needed more, they had my phone number to call. Don't worry though, the fee can be paid for a gym membership anywhere in the area and cover you for a year, instead of an hour. When asked about reducing the cost they "asked" about it, but I could tell they never intended to try and help.

They even placed phone calls to the imaging center to also work me into their busy schedule, rather than being content with what they saw in the scheduling system - in which case, I would not have been seen for a few days. Dr. Woodworth has been my surgeon consult for a couple of times now for what have turned out to be non-serious issues, thankfully. But he is thorough, compassionate, and communicates and educates his patients about all the possibilities and options. Most impressive, when I was waiting the results of a biopsy he called me personally on a Friday at 5 p.m. to let me know the results. Although I wasn't expecting the results until Monday, when he received them on Friday, he wanted to let me know as soon as possible. That is a caring medical professional. Per usual, here I am again, dealing with new back pain and my neck nearly as bad is it was many years ago. But I didn't take care of my spine the way he taught me and I didn't maintain its' health. I know a number of people who won't go to anyone else, one of which used to be my massage therapist. Regarding the older equipment that some mention him using, I've never found it to be lacking or to fail, or produce bad x-rays. If it was as bad as one reviewer claimed, insurance, or other healthcare providers wouldn't continue to work with him. Plus with the newer equipment, spinal exams are very accurate and I can see them as the machines work, allowing me to see where the data he relies for determining initial conditions and consistent progress over time is coming from. No matter what anyone on Yelp says that is negative about this chiropractor, every single experience I had over the past 20 years has only helped my spine, my posture, my breathing, my digestion, and even my anxiety, which if left unaddressed inevitably leads to stress and tension, causing more aches and pains.
