Recording can be a very stressful experience, but they are sure to never rush you or push you into anything that you don't feel comfortable doing. I have had a very difficult time trying to find a guitar teacher that meets my needs and expectations. Being from Lincoln, I tried a local music studio who advertised guitar lessons. I emailed and made calls, even visted and met one of the owners but there was no follow through. It's unfortunate that being a Lincoln resident that I couldn't give a local establishment my business. Nevertheless I needed to seek a guitar instructor and get this goal moving. I'm older and very much a novice with the guitar. I have taught myself over many years but never really made any significant improvements with technique. I was searching for an instructor with a teaching style that would start me with fundamentals so I can establish a strong foundation in music and more importantly playing the guitar. I searched Craigslist, which was an interesting experience and then somehow ran into UpRock Audio Inc. I researched them further and saw they had a good website and also a YouTube channel. This sparked even more curiousity considering they did have much, if not more of what I was looking for. I called the number on their website and spoke with Gavin. He was very attentive to what my objectives were and worked hard to get me scheduled to meet with an instructor that would be a good fit. He scheduled me with Vadim and I was very excited to move forward. While I am still a novice, I hope to improve and record. I have a recording studio setup at home and hope to improve my skills in that area as well. One of the other things that was very important to me was that I wanted to find someone that could really help me focus on the style of music that I would be interested in playing. Right now I play a good amount of Praise & Worship music, but also play classic rock and plenty of popular singer songwriter music. Low and behold, it appeared that at the time I inquired about lessons they had brought on a new instructor, Vadim,that was experienced in all of these areas. If that wasn't a sign I don't know what it was. I had my first lesson three weeks ago and really hit it off. Vadim, allowed me to dictate what I wanted to learn and where to begin. I informed him I wanted to start from the ground up, as if I never played before, in order to establish my foundation and he was very accomodating. It's been three weeks and am truly appreciating the focus and time spent. While I am struggling just a little, he is very patient with me considering I am an older student. I am very much enjoying my experience with Uprock Audio and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in learning to play guitar. read more

My 10-year-old son Nate has been taking guitar lessons at UpRock for a year and a half now. Gavin, his teacher, is incredibly patient and has a real love for music. He really inspires Nate by teaching him songs of Nate's choice. I can't believe the number of complex songs Nate plays already. And Gavin has even encouraged him to perform on stage, both at the annual recital and at an open mic night that he hosts at a local cafe. Playing the guitar has really given Nate a positive focus for his creative passion, and is great for his self esteem. He now plans to play and sing Dream On by Arrowsmith at the school talent show. We looked around for a great guitar instructor for our son and thankfully found UpRock managed by Gavin plus his brother Grayson and their amazing team. From the first session I knew we had found the best place for our son who has progressed rapidly and more importantly he really enjoys it including attending the weekly sessions with Grayson. They seem to have a natural affinity with kids and are very flexible in choice of music to map to the kids likes while also exposing my son to new songs and styles. UpRock Guitar Lessons is the VERY BEST Music studio in the area! Owner/Co-Owner, Gavin Roberts, is a phenomenal guitar instructor who works beautifully with children and adults, alike. My son has been taking lessons from Gavin since he was small. With Gavin's insight/knowledge, advice, and instruction, my son along with a few of his buddies, have been able to form their own rock band, called "4Mulation". Weekly practices are held at the UpRock Studio. Thanks to UpRock Audio, our boys have been able to achieve so much together; things that wouldn't be possible otherwise. The UpRock Studio has all the necessary equipment on-hand, and available to it's students, which makes it very convenient. Gavin is able to keep things fresh and exciting, and even challenging. My son always looks forward to weekly "Jam sessions' with his friends/bandmates. To-date, their band has successfully played at many popular, local venues, as well as for various charities within the area. I had called and requested studio time for a recording. My appointment was set for July 7, 2017 at 9:00AM. Guess what, I arrived 15 minutes before, and waited till after 9:00AM. No one showed up for my appointment. I called and no calls were returned. There are many other studios available and I certainly will utilize another company while sharing my experience with all. read more

I've had the pleasure of working with Uprock Audio since its beginnings, and I have witnessed the movement first hand.
