enjoy visiting this store and have always been met with a friendly greeting. I find the volunteers helpful and very nice to work with. I often find items I did not know I had to have before; some rare finds and some that happen to go with something I already have. Prices are high for a resale store. They have a sign by the designer purses stating the do not authenticate the purses. But they charge authenticated prices for those purses. If they are not going to authenticate them they need to lower the price. I do wish they would add a few more hours that they are open. Displays are nice and a lot of quality items, but again, their prices are high compared to many resale stores that I frequent. read more

This could be such a fun store......If they were ever open. Their hours are so inconvenient for the average person. If you can get there between 10-1 on Saturday (seriously 3 hours???) or during minimal weekday hours (when most people who need to by resale because we cant afford retail) you might find something. Their heart is in the right place but cmon if you want people to buy things it might be helpful to have more accommodating hours. read more

It has a great variety of items. Very clean. Helpful volunteer staff. The clothes were great and well priced. I'd stop again for sure.

I love this Store! my husband and I have spent thousandy dollars for treasures and gifts. The more you go the more you will find things You really wanted in your imagination! I go there occasionally, mostly to browse and buy books. My experience with the volunteers has been uniformly positive. I am a 72 year old male and haven't encountered the attitude that a couple of men have reported. I time my arrival early, well before the posted closing time. As soon as it is feasible I intend to drop some donations but might have to defer book browsing for later. read more

NEVER open, regardless of what the hours state. Twice I've arrived well before "closing" time and met a woman quickly locking the door. "WEER JEST VOLLENTEERS" is their battle-cry. I finally got in once and was met with "WE CLOSE IN HALF AN HOUR !!!!!!!!!!!" I asked if they were all volunteers, and they proudly verified this. It showed much time spent on trendy displays. Prices were rather high, I left empty-handed. Good luck getting in unless you camp out and get in there early. read more

Love this store. They have something for everyone. They carry both men's and women's clothing and accessories, including shoes, belts, scarves, purses, and jewelry. They also have a good selection of household items including, furniture, lamps, art work, pianos, dishes, cookware, glassware and office items. There are some children's stuffed toys, puzzles, greeting cards, cds and dvds, books and magazines. They partner with Love Inc to deliver furniture (for a fee). The store is run by volunteers. The money goes to the Mid-MO Assistance League. They also sell boxed cookies. read more

I love making the thrift Store circuit in Columbia for cheap entertainment, and realize they are often run by "quarky" people, but the staff at Upscale Resale is by far the rudest most arrogant collection of gereatriac egomaniacs ive ever experienced. If you are a male, you are treated with an attitude as soon as you walk in the door. If you are a young male, they actually seem reluctant to take your money. The only reason I continúe to go there is that on occasion, when Im willing to look through 1980's condo furniture for half an hour, I have found interesting items. Then at the checkout they will fondle the items youve laid on the counter as if theyre trying to make sure they actually want to sell them to you. Imagine Angela Lansbury as a bitter hoarder...This is the staff of upscale resale. read more
