Let's starts positive: The store is neat and organized. Most of the young ladies that work there are very friendly and I've never had an issue with. Selling: dropped items off last week and today. Last week the older lady was rude and had an attitude cause we had 4 bins for 2 different people. I thought well ok maybe she's having a rough day. Today we dropped off two more. She didn't great us. She said rudely how many I said 2 are mine and 2 are hers. She took the ins and dropped them on the floor. She said since it was so much it would take awhile. I told her ok that's fine. We had somewhere to go. She rolled her eyes. I have my stuff neatly folded. They didn't even go through the bins. That lady is very rude and maybe she doesn't need to be in customer service. I love to thrift and look for local stores when traveling. This location is fairly large and they have a decent section of mid range, clothing, such as free people and frame, Lululemon, etc. I was able to find a couple of pieces of free people which were priced very well. My purpose was to see if I could sell some of our outgrown/unwanted clothes, and I kept my expectations low. I brought in 3 pairs of shoes, and two large shopping bags of women's clothing. They ended up purchasing about 5 items total, for $20 cash or $30 credit. You will definitely not get rich selling here, but if you want a sustainable option and a little bit of cash or credit, it's a great option. The shop itself was GREAT - clean, well organized, no weird thrift store smell. They had SO MUCH STUFF it was almost overwhelming to know where to begin looking. I love that they sorted by size and by type - it makes it so easy to find something suitable instead of flipping through racks of items that won't fit. I will definitely be back with my teens - it is such a well stocked shop! Prices were reasonable, higher than St Vincent de Paul, but lower than White Dove or Buffalo Exchange. Also they have tag sales with different colors corresponding to % off, and that made the prices VERY reasonable. I've been coming to this place for years and had mostly good experiences. I came in today with five bags of clothing and received a pretty low offer. I asked the manager what they were giving me for six very expensive items and it was very low. I nicely asked for them to exclude that from the buy. I was met with sighing, an eye rolling, from the manager, and then when she removed those items, she tossed them across the counter at me. She rudely gave me my offer in cash, and then I had to ask for the rest of my items they didn't take and ask for a tax receipt and she seemed irritated the entire time. Today I stopped by to sell. I have never sold there before. While they did not take any of the items I had brought in the people behind the counter were lovely. I will be back with more items as the purge continues. I have no willpower in this store. The idea is to downsize and get rid of stuff. Yes, that worked so well, sarcasm. lol Oh yeah, I picked up the most awesome jumper dress and three, "Swackets" as they call them. I call them wraps or dusters. Yea, I am that old. But man are they so pretty. 10 bucks each. The dress/romper was not a resale but brand new so it was a tad more pricey but I am in love with it. It has been a long 8 years since my last visit (according to my Google places log in my phone). This store used to be next door to Kid 2 Kid and the 2 stores were connected together inside. Now, they moved to a larger space a few doors down. I was kind of taken back by so many changes from being away for so long, in a good way. As it has been a really long time, I wasn't sure how my visit was going to pan out even with visiting their website a few days prior. I had a lot of Forever 21 items and a couple of other brands mixed in. I wasn't sure if anything would be sold as the website was skewed to show that they preferred name brands. I only interacted with the buyer my whole visit and she was so pleasant. The store was spacious, clean, and organized. I was quoted a 45 minute wait but it ended up being closer to 90 minutes. If you leave your phone number, they will text you when it's ready plus give you a cash out total if anything ended up being taken. I had errands to run in the area so this worked out perfectly. When I got my text, I was surprised and happy of course. When I finally came back to the store, it looked like about half of what I brought in my single, large shopping bag got taken. The buyer was nice enough to show me what they ended up taking and it was a lot of my old Forever 21 items. That was what was surprising to me personally as I didn't think it would sell. My goal that I set out for this visit was achieved and I really couldn't be happier! Some tips: - Browse their website and learn about them to better prepare yourself. - Try to bring in a lot of items at once for a higher chance of successful selling. - Probably the most important tip is to manage your expectations! You will not get rich selling here and not every item you bring in will be taken. If making the most money possible is your goal, you need to look to selling on eBay, Poshmark, private Facebook sale groups, etc. This store meets my needs as I do not want the hassle of doing all the selling to strangers and it is a physical store. read more

There's a wide selection of brands and fair prices. None of my jeans fit after having a baby, I found a cute Tommy hilfinger pair for $12 that I'll be wearing all the time as soon as it cools down! I've been buying & selling here for a long time. The buyers were always fair & taken many things (mostly my daughters) The last 2 times I took items in to sell, a new guy has been the one to look at the things. He did not take anything.....twice in a row! I realize sometimes it happens, but I received an offer of $60 one week, bring similar items the next time & receive NO offer ...TWICE! I will NOT bring my clothes when he is working. I'll walk out & go to Plato's, which BTW, bought some items for $42 that UC did not want. That guy is not helping your business much. read more

What a great surprise! I had no idea this place even existed, but just stumbled upon it while wandering around after trying to work off some Dunkin' Donuts from the nearby shop. The store is so neat, has pleasant upbeat staff, and fair prices. Everybody wants to give this place such praise. But when I come here to donate a full bag of clothes that were barely used once maybe one time . Some pieces even had tags on but somehow I wasn't able to get a single dollar. The sales people don't even give an hello once walking into the store. The selection is pretty good and cheap. I actually love uptown cheapskate (NOT THIS LOCATION) - i've honestly made the most money there ever out of any sort of consignment reselling place. The Chandler location is amazing & so is the Mesa/Gilbert location. This location on the other hand... absolutely dreadful. Anyways, so I re sell clothes on social media all the time and I use online consignment sites so I have a pretty good idea of what is going to sell, or what I should just be donating to a thrift store. Why the hell. Would I want to lug around two bins of clothes??? No ty. I only go and re sell at places like Uptown, Name Brand etc when I've accumulated a lot of designer stuff I'm no longer interested in etc bc I'm not trying to go do allllll that for a few things ya know. So this is where I realized they lived up to their name with Cheapskate. In the time I was waiting for them to take my bins when i got there, I already had noticed multiple brands of clothes there, that I too was trying to sell. They took my clothes, and within 5 min, I got a text saying that my clothes were done. Wth??? How????? I already had an extremely bad feeling when I saw that someone dressed one of their mannequins in a hawaiian shirt w plain cargo shorts on, but for whatever reason I tested my luck. They literally told me, and I quote, "We aren't taking anything like this currently." Well that's weird considering .... none of my clothes had even been sorted through, & you guys have the same designer brands I have and honestly some of my stuff was even nicer! It was bizarre they would lie like that lol. Y'all didn't even touch my stuff. This is the funniest and most insane part though. Sooo after they said that, I honestly didn't really say much.. just asked "wow really? I saw similar brands etc" and the blonde short haired lady idk what she was, maybe manager? God I hope not but anyways, she quickly came to the counter to go "we just aren't taking those styles." and not even joking. In that moment, as I accepted my weird defeat from the two clueless people- AS IM WALKING OUT, I SAW TWO PAIRS OF SHOES I WAS SELLING, for sale! In their store! LMAO it was so cringe they said that they didn't take my style ?!?! since when, literally one second ago after talking to me? cuz ... you clearly do... lmaooo. I brought the pairs to show them and asked what they meant, and they really had nothing to say? She just scoffed finally and said "well we can't have two pairs of everything." Hmm ok weirdo. Literally even if that is the case, uhhmmm kay say that. Don't say you don't take the literal clothes that you are selling.... it was sooo weird.
