Im a licensed locksmith in Nebraska, so I went ahead and Ordered a replacement and when it got here I set off on the journey to re-key the new cylinder to the old key. Got 98% through the process but got stuck getting the retainer bearing back into the bearing race in the cylinder which holds the plug with the wafers in, and without having my tools with me, i couldnt for the life of me get the bearing and spring back in. Brought the spring, ball bearing, and ignition cylinder with me to ADL, and he had it in and had me ready to go and finish the job for my father.
