The real kicker was when we complained to the guest services manager, he and the head house keeper accepted responsibility for NOTHING, and tried to accuse us of planting the black hairs. Really? Also in the second room we were moved to, there was dried semen on the wall. Avoid this place. Oh and the lobby smelled strongly of curry at check in. This probably explains why only 8 vehicles in the parking lot.

The staff were friendly but the room and hallway smelled musky. The pillows were WAY to big/hard and the bed was uncomfortable. The toilet, needed to be flushed more then once every use - this is normal according to front staff -- "you have to flush at least 2 times" Definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Ironically, this was the most expensive hotel I stayed at during that 3 week trip and it was the farthest thing from the nicest hotel I stayed at. The room was okay - but nothing special. And I was shocked to find the hotel was almost full on a week night in March. There must be a lot of businesses that have people stay there, because there's no way it was full of tourists. Parking wasn't too good. I parked out front as that was the closest lot to my room, but there weren't many spots available. There was a lot in the back too, but it looked a little sketchy and not very well lit. Breakfast was included in the cost of the stay, but it consisted of coffee and a muffin! Hardly what I would call breakfast - and hardly what I felt customers deserved for the cost of the hotel. Overall, they over charged and under delivered. Not worth staying here if you can find another hotel - or another city to stay in.

Beautifully decorated, warm, and a superb value. We kind of wished we weren't just passing through to be honest since we got in late and left kind of early. However, I got up extra early to have a chance to take a bath in the large, deep bathtub and honestly wished I had that bathroom at home! The kitchen, living room, and bedroom were all comfortable and provided a great place to settle in when you are finally off the road, or coming home from a day at work (if staying there for a longer stay). Also when we arrived they had a evening dinner type thing with sausages and pierogies which was fun. The only thing that could have been a little better is that at breakfast there were no eggs (empty) and while everyone could hear the staff talking and laughing back in the kitchen, no one came out to check on the status of the food while we were there (a little over a half hour) so those who wanted eggs just ended up eating hash browns and sausage. Other than that, it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend it!

I had a few hotel choices in Estevan, got myself royally lost while I went around downtown…read morephotographing, and finally found myself back on hotel row where I wanted to be. Not trusting Microtel after my Weyburn experience, I went over to the Motel 6 and immediately trusted them. I am picturing everything about last night: walked in after my bedtime, took 3 tries to find a room, the front desk host was very friendly and patient as she switched my room (thermostat was stuck in the first one) and then gave me a spare key because I left stuff in the first room after I thought I had taken it all out. I was just zonked, and fell asleep soon after I got into my new room, but it was clean, quiet, cozy, just the right temp - I could have slept a lot longer if I had the time in the morning. Unfortunately I left before breakfast was really out but this is a place I would absolutely come back to stay if in the area, and the service puts my review over the top.
