When it comes to indifferent staff this overpriced joint takes first prize. Their deli department was absolutely awful. Roast beef, hams and cooked poultry products looked like they were ready for the garbage can ( a while ago ). Obviously no qualified supervision, the two younger staff members completely ignored me while they continued their conversation. I did pass my observations on to a management associate who gave me the distinct impression he wasn't interested. I've always liked the Urban Fare from the first one that opened up in Vancouver to this one in Kelowna. Today we come for breakfast after a nice walk from the Hospital. Our search brought us here. It's comfortable , has a good vibe and the people are very friendly and professional here. I almost feel that the service here is better than the ones in Vancouver. Could it be Vancouver has become snobbish? Quite possibly. I understand now why I have so many rally sport friends who like living here. Close to nature. Great roads to drive on. After driving up to Kelowna (a 4 hour drive) we met at Urban Fare for a light lunch before hitting the golf course. I was surprised to discover that Urban Fare offers quite a wide variety of foods in their deli section. I ended up ordering half a rack of BBQ ribs. It comes with a selection of side dishes. I ended up ordering the steam veggies and the mash potatoes. Hmm... The ribs were a tiny bit dry, but they were very tender. Almost fall off the bone tender. I have to say pretty good for a grocery store/deli. The dining area is pretty big and roomy. Overall not too bad. Next time I want to try their chicken pot pie! Looks yummy! read more

Went to Urban Fare in Kelowna, B. C. For the first time yesterday. No one greeted us or anything. The ladies restroom does not have a door on the cubicle. We had lunch, and the soup and salad were good. The only problem was flies at the buffet and at the table while we were eating. I walked the whole store after and was amazed at how many different types of meat and cheeses there were. A very interesting place. read more

I used to go there regularly for the buffet but they have raised their prices at least 2 times in the past year or two. You used to be able get an ok sized meal from the buffet for maybe $10-12, now that same portion is more like $15-$17 and not quite as good as it used to be imo. Going here to grocery shop and expecting to find value is not happening. They are catering to more upscale types who don't care as much about the prices. read more

This is a really nice, upper scale supermarket. All sorts of cool products. I went a couple of times during my stay in Kelowna. I got some awesome local blueberries and raspberries. For lunch I got their breakfast sandwich from the buffet. Quite nice. Very good service too. read more

This place is amazing. Yes it isn't your Walmart in terms of price, however it offers specialty foods, fresh prepared dips a variety of local and international cheese, lots of fresh produce and I love the ambience while we shop. Nice to find a lovely market with high end groceries in kelowna. Helpful staff. Good selection of hard to find food stuff. Could spend hours shopping or just drooling over the yumminess. This place is remarkable, I grabbed some food to go & the chefs really go the extra mile. Everything I grabbed was amazing at home, even when we warmed it up at home. For the samosa's I asked if they had any dip, the chef went to the back & whipped one up quickly - tasted fantastic. read more

I tried to order coffee several times before getring to the til and I dont reallt see what the big deal is but i guess you cant order coffee until youre at the til. and there were water marks on the dishes and a big sassy men who was actually quite helpful dispute the water marks (I was still offended by the water marks) his name was Taylor, Taylir did me right. read more
