The room and facility was clean. The have a continental buffet style breakfast in the morning that we trued one morning and it's was very good. Wi-Fi access was excellent. I lived the vibrant colors throughout the hotel, it has a bright and happy atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are nicely appointed; my "Keep the Secret" room had a patio/balcony with side view to the sea. Short 5-10 minute stroll to Old Town and good value for the money. I did wander over to Puente Romano and Marbella Club for an even more upscale vibe that was only a 10-12 minute taxi ride away. Puerto Banus is another 5-10 minutes and you can catch a ferry boat to there from a marina promenade that is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is right by the ocean, and our room opened to a balcony overseeing the beach. So needless to say, the view was AMAZING. The balcony is awesome to sit and relax and enjoy a drink. And the room is so comfortable and has very good amenities. The room features are controlled via a smartphone that can also be taken out and used for internet and navigation if needed. That was a pretty nifty thing to have around, so I thought it was cool. The shower is awesome and the water pressure is great. The toiletries are good and that's all I need to say about that. I also experienced the SPA. I had a deep tissue massage, and although it wasn't that deep, it was so relaxing and refreshing. You also get a pass to use the SPA facilities for the day, but I ended up not using that... since I wanted to be by the beach instead. There's hotel-only beach seating area with service staff available for food and drinks. We tried some appetizers and they were awesome. We also ate at the hotel restaurant on beach level. There was live music, which was awesome... although the sound wasn't really balanced, so we could barely hear the singer while we were able to hear the music just fine. The staff are super friendly. Happy to help, take pictures, provide service, whatever you need. The hotel also has bicycles available for use for the day which is great for riding along the beach. We'll definitely come back to this place when we revisit.

As Kay K pointed out, the beach is right there! It was November and coolish, 60 degrees, so not ideal swim weather. The flavored water in the lobby and hanging art work really make the place look great. We arrived near the evening, with dinner at the hotel included. We went to our room to change clothes and stretch out and found..a bottle of sparkling wine, on ice, with 2 glasses! It was my birthday, and they sent a really nice note to thank us for sharing my birthday with them! I don't know if Gate1 requested this or not, but it was such a nice gesture! We headed to dinner on the first floor (there are actually 2 buildings here, but some renovation was going on) where the breakfast buffet takes place. Dinner was buffet style, with beverage service. There were carving stations, fruit, dessert, so much good food! I never came back for dinner, just for breakfast, which was so expansive and well done. It was nice to sit near a window with a view of the water/pool. The bathroom was fine, a bidet and shower that was not too hard to operate. Again, minimal towels. But also a balcony with chairs and a small table. I did not ask if all rooms have a balcony, but I doubt they all have ocean (?) views. We found the staff approachable and friendly. The bar on the first floor had live nightly entertainment. We missed the first Elvis night, but caught some of the Saturday act. It was ok, just rehashing tunes for the middle age set of tourists, like on a cruise. I took a day off from touring to walk around, shop, and relax on the sundeck in a chair to read with a sangria! It was prob the highlight of my stay. The reason for the 3.5 starts is we saw a dead bug on the stairwell, and a live one in our bathroom! It was probably a waterbug. By the time I ran to grab a shoe, it was gone. To their credit, we called downstairs and a staff member with spray came in. Not sure if they needed to exterminate more, or if this was a fluke. It was our last night anyway. They were good enough to open the buffet breakfast extra early with Continental foods because we had to check out by 6:30am!

The buffet breakfast and dinners were amazing gormet cuisine. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Ironically, the AC was not running during our stay (March 21-24,2024). The review before mine explained why! So we are here during what's considered "winter" here. Well, we ended up opening the balcony sliding door part of the way to get air in the stuffy room. Even during the night, so we could sleep. Still, I'd say this was a very decent hotel stay. We didn't have time to swim, or lounge much. The pool looks fantastic. The beach is across the street.

Breakfast was so yummy. we accidentally ordered more than we would normally eat by not specifying quantity but we at it all. Then you have a beautiful walk into Frigiliana which is about 20 minutes by foot. You can walk to the beach as well. We didn't have a car and walked everywhere. But if you want to drive into the mountains they have a parking space for cars. The rooms are very big and bathroom even bigger. And the most important for me is feather pillows. I can't sleep on bricks like most hotels in Spain. The comfy bed and pillows were such a bonus you don't usually get even in the most expensive rooms. But here the bed and pillows are super comfy. They don't have many guests staying at one time since it's a small hotel. So the pool will never be crowded. In fact i never saw anyone else in the pool. And if you worry about the pandemic, this is the type of place to stay since there aren't crowds of people like a big hotel. You really don't come into close contact with anyone. The owners are terrific! Super friendly. Not only do I want to come back, but I want to live there forever. he he. We really enjoyed our stay. You can get there via bus & taxi. Or you can use a bus direct to the place. Since there was 2 of us I found it just as cheap to take a taxi. So it was pretty easy to get to. Also fast wifi for those who need to work.

There's a well stocked supermarket and a Dominos pizza nearby but why anyone wants a Dominos with fresh, local food choices close by is beyond me. Our room had a small entrance hallway then a right turn through a door to a bathroom with a shower & bidet, and his & hers wash hand basins. Straight ahead to another door to the compact bedroom. Room air con wasn't as effective as we we'd have liked. Then again while we were in short sleeved shirts feeling summery Spanish guests had overcoats & scarves and most looked to be frozen. Room mini bar prices are reasonable and while the tv was a decent size we didn't use it. Hotel staff were so helpful and quite patient with us. We are a demanding lot so maybe being close to a saint some tolerance has rubbed off. The self serve breakfast too was a decent spread. Five types of fruit juice including peach, orange, & apple. Hams, cheeses, tomatoes frittata, boiled & scrambled eggs, bacon 3 different types of bread, plain & chocolate croissants and lots more. The only downside is at brekky rush hour as there's just one coffee machine but the locals are civilised bunch with lots of patience. People took the food they wanted. No one overfilled their plates with food and left food behind them (I see this often in the USA; it's not good.) a walk into the city will take you by lots of local bars, coffee bars, pastry shops and bric a brac. Don't be afraid of those little bars that look grubby. The likely aren't. Nine of us filled a little place about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The young lady served us 2 red wine, a gin & bitter lemon , 2 water, an espresso and 4 Fanta lemon along with plates of plump green olives & gherkins and the bill was under €15. We could have had hams, cheeses, breads too. All very relaxing. The hotel is 10 minutes by bus from the city centre on a C2 (C1 back to the centre) or to/from the centre on bus 1. We got 10 journey credit card style tickets for €10.20. An used ticket can be redeemed at a tabac for a €1.90 refund. So each journey is just over 80 cent. Couples can share a card just touch twice. A train goes from the airport to the centre €1.60 each way.

Two restaurants on the resort and five or six restaurants that are so close that they seem to be part of the resort. Argentinian, Thai, Indian, Italian and maybe two more restaurants and some bars. You could stay at the resort and have a good time if you wanted to. It's great for families and singles. I would definitely stay here again.
