When I moved to this area from L'Anse my mechanic recommended this place, and I'm grateful for it. They do good work, suggest lower cost options and are reasonably priced. Some have complained here about their price but they compare with other mechanics who have given me quotes on work. In my opinion they are the best in the area. Charged 400 plus for an alignment and oil change on my truck. Wtf! Never again. Unbelievable

I have had front end alignments done at the US 2 Service Center over the years and they have a GREAT mechanic there who is essentially a perfectionist, and SHE really knows her business! Just had a front alignment done on my truck by BARB, and it was $64.00 total despite problems she ran into that went above and beyond normal. I had just bought this truck and the kicker is that front end parts and an 'alignment' had been done 2-months prior elsewhere, and the bill there was $84.00. But I bought the truck, knowing that the steering and 'alignment' was bad! I didn't bring it back to where the prior owner had it worked on, Because I KNOW where to get a front end alignment done correctly (many shops can't do the job correctly/accurately). I took my truck to Barb at the US 2 Service Center and she identified the problem then promptly corrected it. The other (and more expensive) shop hadn't done the job correctly. So now my truck drives like NEW. Such a huge difference. THANKS BARB!! So save yourself some time and money, just go to the US 2 Mobil Service Center FIRST. read more

Recently had oil change done there, Saturday October 29th. Receipt included topping off anti-freeze level for 3.75. Funny, by Tuesday November 1st I had no heat. On Wednesday the car started over heating. I fill the over flow container to appropriate level and brought to my other mechanic, at which time anti-freeze was gushing out of top of radiator. Thought the worst of course, radiator shot. BUT No, it wasn't!!! for some strange reason my radiator cap was twisted to the point of being on secure enough not to blow off, but enough to allow the fluid to boil out.....I called the shop and spoke to Dee, she said she filled at the over flow and never touched the pressurized radiator cap. She said I would have to bring it down to shop again. I thought that a little strange for a service station not to go directly to radiator and pressurized cap as part of the over all oil change and simple examination of car. One would think a service center would do the actual extra work. Anyway, after spending a few hours filling the radiator and burping out the air, my heat returned and the temp gage reads what it always has, just under 200 degrees. I will not take my vehicles back, even for simple oil change or tire repair. I do not trust these ladies any more. And let me make it clear, I was in total support of bring them business before this happened. Nope never again!! Also, gas pumps are hit or miss, you may get a well functioning one or you may get one running slow as molasses. I had no problem patiently waiting 20 minutes to put 20 dollars worth of gas in at the time, but reflecting back, no, you want to be a service fueling station, then fix your equipment. I will tell everybody I know this service center is sketchy and will take advantage of you. read more
