As I walked up to Gordy at service, he looked annoyed to see me especially after he made me wait as he was on the phone. I asked Gordy to see if he could test drive my snowmobile around the parking lot to diagnose what sounded like a belt squealing on the take off. I was only given a response of "It will have to wait until after lunch. My guys are working past their break and I was supposed to be somewhere a half hour ago!" I explained that it would only take a minute and I would make an appointment to get the issue corrected at a later date. He said it again, "It will have to wait until after lunch!" I walked off irritated and told my brother he wasn't going to look at it, and said I'll just leave and break a fucking belt! Then the parts salesman that just sold me the belt said as I walked off "At least you have a spare!" As I drove off the lot and circled to cross the toad, I seen Gordy outside not looking like he was really breaking a leg to get to that appointment that he was already late for! None the less, it really didn't look like anorexia beat down any of their staff that would prevent them from a quick diagnosis! I will never do business with these unprofessional asshats again! Thanks for nothing dickheads! Next time anyone needs a recommendation on a Ski-Doo or Polaris dealer, I'll send them to a private seller on Craig's List, and a backwoods mechanic in the fucking sticks!

Convenience is the name of the game at Headwaters. Rented sleds from here last year and will be…read moreagain this season. The rental process is now entirely online and more straightforward. All available Polaris models are current year or within 2 yrs.; very nice and handle well on the trail. The shop is beautifully situated at the conflux of nearly all main-stem trails in the Western UP region; you can go any direction from here. Also, there is a gas station w/ snowmobile oil for purchase just up the road. The after-hours return policy is easy; just park the sled around back, drop the key in the lockbox, and done! Could have used instruction on how to change out belt and oil-filling procedure. Once the oil light comes on it's time to fill 'er up, no if's and's or but's; disobey this rule at your peril. A full oil tank will last you about 100 miles. Sleds have zero storage capacity, so keep that in mind and bring a backpack (EXTRA OIL) for your gear.

Being that the terrain is tough out there, I was put in a situation where I was pressed against a tree (at low speed). I put some very minor scratches on the vehicle. They are now charging me over $1700 to replace panels that do not need it! I agreed that one panel did need to be replaced, and I'd gladly pay for it along with the decals, but they are going out of their way to replace everything with a tiny scuff on it. I do not recommend using this company!
