This review is for the CPR training course that I attended at this fire station. I'm currently…read moretaking a drug abuse cause/treatment class at UNLV and this course was a great opportunity to learn how to help someone if they suspect that they are overdosing. I learned so much from this course and I hope I can take what I learned over to someone that may need help. The course speakers and volunteers of the day were Tim, Tom, Brooke and Carolyn. After learning about the dangers of fentanyl and opioids, we were given an overdose response kit that included a pair of gloves and a thing of Narcan nasal spray, along with watching an instructional video of how to use the nasal spray on someone who may have overdosed. I will be definitely carrying this on me anytime when I'm on campus or anywhere else, but I was advised not to leave it in my car. Afterwards, we were taught how to perform CPR on those dummies that have grey heads and blue bodies, to the beat of Stayin' Alive by The Bee Gees (the beats of the song helped us determine how many presses we should give the victim). I tried not to sing along to this while practicing CPR. We all did a great job practicing and moved on to how to stop external bleeding and how to use a tourniquet after taking a quick five-minute break. Having not used a tourniquet before, it was painful the more I tried to twist it, but even though it is painful to use the more you twist it, it's important to use it for anyone who is in need of a medical emergency. The training course wrapped up with a demonstration of how to use an AED. I've never seen an AED machine in action before, so it was interesting to see how it would actually work. Unlike the Narcan nasal spray, AEDs can be left in your car. I'm glad that I got to attend this course. It was definitely worth the two hours and I know that I can attempt to save someone if they needed assistance. Also, I want to add in that I'm A Community Lifesaver! Thank you to Tim, Tom, Brooke, Carolyn, and the rest of the Henderson Fire Department for making this possible.

The roads are still nice and well-maintained, there's not a single crack and hardly any traffic. They are building new homes in the city and the location is fantastic! Henderson does remind me so much of Temecula, the area has beautiful landscapes, there's lots of greenery and trees! The neighborhood has great parks, convenient shopping centers, and a huge gym! If I'm visiting The Strip or Chinatown during off peak hours, the drive from Henderson going north takes approximately 30 minutes. The best part of the city is at night! The Overlook at Inspirada is a popular spot in Henderson to see stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip, and the city lights are captivating! It's such an incredible sight and serene!

Yes, a conversation was apparently too loud, though I heard nothing. The event was heavily attended by nearby residents and others from surrounding communities. The station will serve as the academy training center for new officers, and the communications dispatch center for police and fire. It will also serve as the future home of the K9 Memorial. The 52,000 square foot facility includes a briefing room, evidence and locker rooms, weight room and break areas for officers and civilian personnel to unwind. A running track will eventually be installed that will serve as a training platform for new officers. The station's front desk area accessible to the public will be open from 7am-4pm M-F. However, the station will be operational 24 hours a day. The chief of police was joined by the henderson mayor and dignitaries from the city council and other governmental agencies for photographs and the ribbon cutting ceremony. This station was definitely a welcomed sight for those in the inspirada area, especially as they plan the construction of a new casino and the continued growth of the west henderson area.

Through all the days the one thing you can depend on is the mail person bringing you that special package. These days the lines aren't as long as they used to be because of the newest technology that is available to the general public. If you feel brave enough you can even buy stamps and mail a package with an interactive kiosk. Can you image mail being delivered on horseback, much has changed since the beginning of the early years and days of the post office. The inception of the postal system was established in Philadelphia on July 26, 1775. The beginning of the American Revolution appointed Benjamin Franklin as the first postmaster general. Over the years the post office was declared and made its own entity still funded by the federal government, but it granted its employees retirement benefits after so many years of service. Today, this entity functions most of the time as a flawless machine. To ensure your package makes it to where it's going the post office types in your packages address to ensure accurate shipping delivery and avoiding delays. This is on your bigger packages although. They have so many important things to do and get your letters and packages out . Thank you and the value is PRICELESS! Especially this branch !
