Unfortunately, we spent more time troubleshooting and trying to get the games to work than actually playing. Half of our group eventually just gave up and sat around chatting. That said, the food and drinks were absolutely the star of the show -- everything we ordered was fantastic and honestly the saving grace of the visit. Game Arena has a lot of potential and could be an incredible spot if the tech side was more reliable and smooth. Until then, it's more of a cool place to grab a bite and hang out than a true gaming destination.

Walking in, there were a number of people playing on PCs and on the consoles. Not overly busy for a Sunday night. But Seems the wait to use a console could be long as there aren't as many of those to use. They do have USB plugs if you want to bring your own controllers for the PCs. Had no idea about this as Im not the best on mouse and keyboard. PCs do seem to run super well for fast paced battle royale. Only issue is that the PCs don't have that many games. It's mostly popular ones but they don't all work for some reason. You can use the steam accounts on their system but logging into our own gave us trouble. Also, my friend had issues with his mouse and headphones. He had to keep flagging down staff to help him out. They are very accessible but this was kind of inconvenient. It's a cool space to hang though! They have a bar area and an upstairs area. You could honestly just come in to eat and get drinks without actually gaming. Food was good! My friends and I all got boneless wings. They are huge! It's a lot for the price. Korean fried chicken flavor wasn't at all Korean to me. But it tasted good. I added some fries and it came in a huge basket. Great prices in general! Even got a couple beers under $7 each. You order the food at the bar then they deliver it to you at your computer. They've got takeout containers if you need 'em too. Prices weren't bad. It was $15 for 3 hours and there's a time clock on the PC. They have monthly memberships if you come here a lot. This place wasn't here while I was at OSU. I'm glad they added it to the campus activities!

Along with a few others, I was in search of an event space for an all day event for about 20…read morepeople. I had heard about The Depot previously, so I suggested that we check it out as an option. It was easily the winner of the many locations we toured. The events manager was extremely friendly and helpful before and during the event. We used their catering and had plentiful food throughout the day - we had brought in our own snacks and they were barely touched because everyone was quite content with the breakfast and lunch foods! Also included was a history tour that let us learn more about the various rail cars present on the property. The tour was fun and informative - we easily could have listened to more! We have a very positive experience here, and the space is so unique!

The facility is beautifully quaint, and met our needs and expectations. The Manager, Tim, is very friendly, flexible, and accommodating. We highly recommend The Depot Event Center. Got my first chance to play there yesterday. The course was beautiful and the amenities (course…read morewise) were excellent. The only true issue I saw with the course was the greens had a ton of spike marks and ball marks which the players should take care of fixing when they arrive and leave the green. I, being a fan of beautiful courses, always look to repair my ball mark and found myself repairing 3/4 more every hole which is sad but not a big deal. However it was still a fantastic day and experience. The course is tight and short. If you keep it in the fairway you can score here however make sure you take advantage of the putting green before the round. Other than Oakmont, I have never played on greens this fast which I actually enjoyed. This is a "must play" course in Ohio and also the Midwest. The staff is very friendly and the beauty of the course is high level. Will definitely play it again when the opportunity arises.

Scioto Country Club is totally old school. It was founded in 1916, just before the city of Upper…read moreArlington was incorporated. I am not a member, but have had the opportunity to eat meals here or use the facilities off and on over the past 10 or 12 years- and I quite like it! I married into a family who grew up going to this club and many of our friends have connections as well. I must admit I get a chuckle out of the fact that SO many members (and "wanna be" members) view Scioto as the center of the universe. I don't take it too seriously. On the other hand, I also take scathing criticisms of Scioto Country Club with a grain of salt. Its Donald Ross golf course is often ranked among the top 100 courses in the country. Not to mention, Bobby Jones golfed here and Jack Nicklaus honed his skills at SCC. How could one not appreciate that tidbit of sports history? As for my own personal rating, let's just say it falls somewhere in between 3 and 4 stars... I never felt overwhelmed or intimidated by Scioto Country Club. Frankly, I've been to a lot swankier clubs, where the facilities are terribly posh and members are far snobbier, so I guess the experience is all relative. I've had numerous holiday meals, brunches and buffets here and find the food to be top notch. Never a bad meal and from what I recall, reasonably priced (if you don't count the atrocious membership fees). I couldn't justify spending the type of money it requires to be a member here, but it could be a neat place to to have access to- if you can afford it. Either way, Columbus is fortunate to have such a nice, storied country club in it's city limits, but Scioto certainly is not the center of the universe.
