I was a bit hesitant to go to this location because of past reviews. When I walked in the woman at the counter seemed very pleasant, my initial thought was, I hope I get her. The line started to build and someone else came out. I had questions about my passport and she was extremely helpful. She gave me forms and an envelope to fill out and directed me on what to do. When I returned 15 minutes later with forms in hand I was assisted by a third woman working the counter. She was very personable and extremely helpful as well. The post office in Anderson SC at 1900 N. Main Street is terrible. I had an amazon order delivered via USPS and the package was placed in the mail box for packages. A key was left in our mailbox to retrieve our package. The key does not open the package box. I have been calling the post office all week to let them know about this issue. My husband and I work during the day and can not get to the post office during their open hours. They have not answered their phone for the 4 days I have been calling numerous times a day. Our package is being held hostage until we can physically go the post office to address this issue. I have had numerous negative experiences with this post office. I don't know how they keep their jobs that they obviously are NOT doing. read more

Rude service. Was actually on the REAL USPS site to get a box. The uninformed person at the post office didn't read that if you don't have a printer they will print out your request for a box. She wasn't even smart enough to cancel the box so now I get to cancel it through my credit card. No wonder there is a big sign asking for help. They get one star because they do eventually deliver most of the mail. Recently, we have been either receiving many letters from 2 to 6 weeks later than the advance notification or not receiving at all. I paid my car registration in early Fen and a week later saw my registration coming in the mail, but 3 weeks later... nothing. Yesterday at noon they only had 2 people working and one said she was told to punch out at 1:00. There were 15 people waiting in line. Really??! Went to this post office branch twice on April. I mailed two separate movies in manila envelopes at the counter, and was charged $2.67 each on the13th. I went back on the 23rd and mailed one movie, used the machine because it was a sunday and was charged $1.12. Why is the price different, I don't know. When I have a problem I call this office and get an answering machine. I leave a detailed message and a request for them to return my call. They never do. Furthermore, the ridiculously long and useless automated answering service they have makes me sick. If you say "manager" or representative" it don't understand.
