Definition of trashhhh worst post office in history. Minimum 1 hour wait time to pick up a package. I think there to busy blowing each other in the back but than again they all have attitudes so that wouldn't be the case. Stay Away! read more

This post office employs the laziest, most unprofessional employees. The individuals in the office as well as the postal carriers that deliver the mail are rude, ignorant, and unhelpful. I called to have a package redelivered over 3 times and nobody redelivered it. In addition my request to have my package redelivered was never updated on the USPS website. I called several times to speak to a supervisor and was placed on hold for an extreme amount of time. I am disappointed and disgusted with this location on Tremont. Just because this particular post office serves the hood doesn't mean that they have to employ ignorant, lazy people to work there. I would have given it no stars if it allowed me to. read more

I thought i was the only one suffering with the horrible disastrous service from this post office. I am a victim of package thefts this Christmas. $200 worth of merchandise to be exact. I wasted a day of staying home just to not receive a knock or any acknowledgement that the post office had delivered my packages. The supervisor (Jason Robinson) didnt seem to do much investigation other than asking said postal delivery person what they did with the packages which was left my packages in front of my door. My question is why when i was home? What happened to knocking? I honestly believe the post offices are running a scam to steal their customers packages during the holidays(and other times during the year) and they back each others lies to cover up their deception. This is a very serious problem because now i dont feel safe having deliveries through them. I find it extremely funny that the supervisor of this specific post office can leave a phony review on here to make the business look legit. Even gave his own establishment 5 stars.....so laughable!!! Your customers are not happy Jason Robinson. What done in the dark will come to light. This site doesnt need to shut down.....just needs staff replaced with honest law abiding workers. I cant wait until they get caught up. This place is absolutely garbage. I literally lost a day of work today waiting for my package. They claimed to have attempted to deliver my package is is an absolute lie. I had to go and confront them and show them on the footage of my camera that they literally drove past my building without stopping. And they shook it off as if I was lying. I didn't get a "attempted delivery" slip until the next day which was too late since they had lost my package. They truly are the reason for my depression. This is the worst post office I've ever had to deal with. For the last 3 months I've been ordering a few things Online hooray for tax returns anyway any deliveries that was given to the USPS to deliver to me never actually delivered it. I'm home during the day cause I work graveyard shift and never once did the mail person ever ring the buzzer for downstairs or given the fact that they have keys to the building never actually came to my apartment and knock on the door. Instead I stay waiting around like a fool then magically get an email notice that a "delivery Attempt" was made yet no slip is left with the package number. I always had to go to the post office in person the following day to get the package myself. I mean if I have to pick up the package every time without fail then I should get that mailpersons paycheck cause clearly they are not doing their job. Gonna see if I inform the vendors to stop using USPS for any deliveries that are for me cause I'll never get them. As I write this review I'm on hold waiting to get in contact with this Post Office to make a complaint this is beyond annoying. read more

This place needs to be shut down. Most of the clerks have attitudes the lines are long. Let's talk about the home mail delivery system for starters if you are expecting a package you will never get it on time with this office. The mail carrier shoves the notice in your mailbox never rings your bell or knocks on your door. When you get to the post office the line to get your package is almost out the door. Most people say the same thing that they were home and the mail person never rang the bell go figure. If the mail carriers did their jobs right the lines at the post office will not be so damn long. Another issue is whoever sorts out the mail needs glasses because I get other people's mail than my own. Like I said before shut this office down or revamp the place with better staff I've been a long time resident of the post office and it has gotten worse throughout the years which is sad especially with new housing going up in the area more problems will arise with the lack of concern from the staff at this particular post office. They attempted to deliver my packages yesterday and couldn't because "the business was closed". It was 9PM, of course the business was closed. In trying to call the post office- THREE TIMES - to make sure I could pick the packages up DESPITE not having received the "attempted delivery" notices, they declined to answer the phone. It is 3PM on a Tuesday; is everyone on lunch? I needed these packages before leaving on a trip tomorrow; guess I'll have to do without. In the meantime, since I don't have time to wait in those lines to pick up, I'll just wait for the items to be returned to sender and reorder to another address where the post office isn't quite so incompetent. read more

Great place, had a few bumps getting a package but the supervisor helped me out. He took time to look into my problem and worked hard to see to it that i left with my package in hand. I didn't actually get it but he assured me he would call me once it was located and he did minutes after i left. Great ending to what could have been a bad story. Will deal with him whenever I have any mailing issues. Will continue to go to that location as long as he or people like him are there. read more

The service at the majority of the Post Office's I have experienced is horrible but I think this is one of the worst. I never received a notice but when I tracked the package online it stated the "receptacle blocked" which is bull because it wasn't but even if it was, my apartment door is right next to the entrance. SO technically "if you did even come out of your truck" you actually passed by my door to get to the receptacle and someone was home for the package. I then requested a re delivery (ha!) and called for 5 days straight and although the man on the phone was nice I never received my package(after being reassured I would). I feel like the Post Office is a waste of time. Why do these people have these jobs and why doesn't anything change?? read more

This is the worse post office ever. This has been my post office since 1993 and it's always been like this. They'll say they attempted to delivered your package when they didn't. They won't leave that pick slip to say they attempted to deliver your package. Then you go to the post office waiting for over an hour to pickup your package that you stayed home to receive and never received it. You complain that doesn't work. They had numerous supervisors and none of them were able to put things in place so this place can run smoothly. The tellers runs this business. There's one staff in particular whose attitude is out of control. The way she speaks to the customers and mainly the senior citizens is horrible. Just on Saturday 11/3 I was standing on line and an Hispanic women ask for one money order for $1,000 and one for $215. The teller gave this lady such a hard time about her lack of English telling the women you said $250 not $215. Don't get mad at me because you don't speak no English you was wrong not me. In my eyes once the lady gave you $1,215 that should have confirmed the total amount of money orders she asked for. This worker is an Afro American woman who face always has a frown on it and she just gave birth last year sometime. If you're a regular at this post office you'll definitely know who I'm speaking of. I couldn't take it anymore I just walked off the line and left. There's no one there you can report to. I've tried plenty of times reporting staff to the supervisors and nothing is ever resolved. I wish we was able to choose our post office where our mail goes. I pray they clean house terminate all of them bet they'll appreciate their customers then. read more

This is the worst post office ever. Some of the workers are disgustingly lazy. They just go to work to get paid and not care about anything. I ordered a phone on and upon checking delivery confirmation, it said it was delivered in my mail box. When i checked my mailbox there was no package in there. I called the following day opened up a case and was told to expect a call in 3 business days from local post office. I never received that called. I called again after been on hold for 50 mins, i was told my case would be escalated to consumer affairs and to expect a call within 3 business days and i never did. I made a follow up call to consumer affairs and was told that my case was closed by the local post office because they already spoke to me. BIG LIE!!! I never received a call. The case got reopened again. This is not the first time this has happened, the first time the postal worker left the package at my door and it was stolen. I mean why would you leave a package in a building of 500 people? Common sense.. Some of the workers just don't give a damn!! Oh yeah and they never pick up the phone when you call. I spoke to one of the postal guys and he told me the guy that did the mail that day does that all the time. Meaning putting people's mail in the wrong boxes. This has got to stop! I work hard for my money and I shouldn't have to endure this stress due to someone been reckless or not giving a damn! read more

Worst experience ever. Having live in The Village in Manhattan Lower east side for over 20+yrs and never in the years I lived there did I have not one complaint, the Delivery was always on time or even before time, not to mention that the Post Office itself was very pleasant and courteous. The Post Office at 10457 on E Tremont is a complete disaster, and the employees are very rude and always have an unpleasant attitude, also it's unbelievable that the Post Office on Jerome Ave 10459 even though is always crowded have a more positive attitude and are always willing to help! read more

1 star because that is the lowest i can give. THIS IS THE WORST POST OFFICE IN ALL OF NEW YORK CITY!!! its a shame that the area in which you live determines the kind of service you will receive. The better the neighborhood the better the post office unfortunately living in what is considered to be the "ghetto", i have to deal with rude employees starting from the window tellers to the supervisors and management. I have literally been told by management and i quote " what would you like me to do"? this was in reference to my package being misplaced. They also never deliver packages but will update their systems to say that an attempt was made. Notices are never left. The postal site is flooded with people waiting in line of up to 30 people by 830. This is because everyone in the area knows to be there by the time they open or the 30 person wait will turn into a 60 person wait by the afternoon. overall very dissatisfied with the service, care of my packages, and the overall l attitude of this horrible post office. pls avoid it at all costs read more
