A few weeks ago I found a registered mail notice in my mailbox which would require me to go to the post office to sign for the package. I called Tunga at their distribution center, and went there to pick up the package. Tunga blamed the new trainee on not following proper procedure. I have video cameras at my house and clearly no one came to the door to attempt delivery. Today the same thing occurred. I found another registered mail notice in my mailbox. Again I called Tunga who promptly called the driver. Within a few minutes she was on my front porch with the package. I found her comments to be revealing. She mentioned that Tunga told her NOT to deliver my package. In effect Tunga was blaming the driver, and she was blaming him. After she left I decided to call Tunga again and told him what the driver had said. What a BIG difference. He told me "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS." His attitude was angry and he hung up on me multiple times. I have made attempts to speak with the PostMaster Sal, and I await his call. It is my business. It is my mail. A proper attempt should be made by the carrier to ring my doorbell on a registered package. If I call, I should NOT be told TO MIND MY OWN BUSINESS. Its a terrible post office. There are great, and nice people working on Water Street - but if Tunga is their supervisor, I would investigate Tunga before I complained about the others. ADDED 4/13/23 After 2 weeks the Guilford Post Master (Sal) has not called me back. I leave the obvious conclusion to the reader of this review. read more

Rude customer service, went to drop a package off... no problem with that, but I asked for an item that was dropped off by UPS Mail Innovations and they wouldn't give it to me at all, where every other post office, including Groton, CT has done so in the past.... Young girl behind the counter is more focused on policies then customer service. read more

Been to this post office several times. From what I see and experienced it would be very difficult to find workers who could care even less than here at the Guilford Post Office...They have serious attitudes about having to do anything and are angry about having to come to work... read more

Now granted, I did not stand in the 6 person line that formed behind the counter to ship anything, but I did pop in here the other day (Monday around lunchtime) to just grab some flat rate shipping boxes. I did have a quick question about shipping costs that a mailman who happened to be in the room as well sorting mail was able to friendly and easily answer for me. It was a quick and painless experience at least, but I can't very well speak for all those people waiting and wishing to ship something... read more

After waiting in line for 10 minutes, the man behind the counter was absolutely not helpful. When I asked him for the best and safest way to mail an international letter he told me he couldn't not give me an answer. That the answer was a personal choice and he couldn't not help me. Obviously with his lack of help I left without mailing the letter. Completely useless!!!!!! read more

This is a terrible post office. I encourage anyone near Guilford to go to Durham. We recently moved to a different home in GUILFORD and I changed everything online via usps.com. The Guilford post office is FAILING to recognize our new address due in part to the previous owners having a post office box. Packages and mail arriving at our old location are being sent back to the sender instead of being forwarded to our new address. What good is it to go through the correct procedure of changing your address and paying a dollar for the request when this post office location drops the ball and say's they don't recognize the address??? TERRIBLE!!! They're also not helpful and very rude when you call to ask questions. read more
