Monte helped me out with the process (breakdown & box) and my ride made it there safely without a hitch! If you're interested in BMX, ask Monte about the race track he built! If you want to do a marathon ride every year or want to just join a group ride every now & again, Bike Central is the place to do it!!!

They recently upgraded all of their cardio equipment,…read morethey have numerous classes to take (Yoga, Pilates, Boot Camp, etc), great lifting equipment, full basketball courts, racquetball court, great staff and the option for indoor and/or outdoor pool access with your membership (at an additional cost). Their prices are very reasonable as well. I paid $636.65 (tax included) for a yearly family membership with the indoor pool option, which included two free months (New Years Resolution rate). Before you say, "Whooooah, that seems expensive!!", understand this price comes out to be only $1.498 per day (at 14 Months/425 days). Now divide that by the number of family members you have and it really becomes apparent how economical it really is. Just for kicks, compare that price to a larger metropolitan facility in Iowa, such as Prairie Life Fitness in Des Moines at $2.33 a day for an individual month to month membership (NOT including unnecessary and expensive sign-up fees). Living in the Ice Cream Capital of the World and the surrounding area, certainly has it's cost of living advantages. If you want to workout (or workOFF that ice cream weight) there are also three large economically priced workout facilities to choose from: 24 Hour Fitness on Hwy 75, The Body Shop on Central Ave. and the YMCA on 12th St. The 24 Hour Fitness and The Body Shop facilities definitely have a clear advantage over the YMCA if you can't workout during the day - they have better hours. 24 Hour Fitness and The Body Shop are open all hours of the day (including holidays), compared to the YMCA at 5 AM to 10 PM Monday through Thursday, 5 AM to 8 PM Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Saturday and 1 PM to 5 PM on Sunday. Although I have not researched the cost of 24 Hour Fitness, compare the YMCA's Family Membership cost with The Body Shop's (for the same promo period as the YMCA). The Body Shop's Family Membership is $577.16 (tax included) for thirteen months for the cost of twelve ($1.461 per day). However given the number of additional amenities included with the YMCA membership (indoor pool, showers, courts, classes, etc) for only about $59.50 more than The Body Shop's, the Y's membership benefits simply outweigh The Body Shop's hands down.

They deliver the trailer to your old home and you have about 3 days to load it. They pick it up and get it to your new location in 4 to 6 business days. You only pay for space used. No extra costs. You do have to pack/load then unload/unpack yourself (unless you hire someone). You also don't know exact delivery date. So if you are willing to put up with those inconveniences ... I highly recommend their services.

Can't say enough about how happy I was with the whole U-Pack process. If you are willing to do the…read morepacking, loading, and unloading yourself, this is the way to go (although they do have contact info for packing & loading help, we chose to save money and do it all ourselves). We moved a whole household (4 bedroom home) from NW Iowa, over to NE Wisconsin. U-Pack does a nice job online of explaining how their service works, and then lots of hints and tips about packing and loading the truck. They also were good about answering questions I had when I called them. Trucks were delivered to us exactly as scheduled. We had three days to load. Make sure you have your crew lined up to help and the key is to really pack things out using all available space, top to bottom. Strap things off across the truck about every 8' to help secure the load. Then delivery is scheduled within a range of so many days, which you can track online. Trucks were well within range. Again we had three days to unload. Delivery and pickup of the trucks was made quickly once called for. Compared to moving companies, saved a TON. Compared to other do it yourself methods, I would have have to rent a fleet of trucks and made a whole lot of trips. U-Pack does all the transportation. Made life much easier. Again, can't say enough about the whole process and would definitely use them again. Check them out if you want to save yourself some money and time.
