I did the unspeakable and asked if it was possible to get the bike by the end of the following day and although a bit busy in general this season, they take bike-tourers under their wings whenever possible. For a shop that only had one review on Yelp, I was seriously worried - but no reason to be! This is a REAL BIKE SHOP!!!! Hahaha! They have all the goodies that you may need. Be prepared if you need 26" you're gonna need to call ahead to order. A basic tune costs $65 bucks and they'll call you if you need anything additional. I took the only skinny pair of 26" tires and the last two tubes (26x1.5) the only downside to this is that they tossed one of my current tubes and I could've patched it :( so now I have two tubes on the bike and only 1 extra. Aside from my gear, the shop specializes in Specialized Bikes with everything from MTB, road, fatty snow bikes, and touring. They've got loads of shoes, jerseys, shorts, shoes, and helmets to chose from. Handlebar tape, tire levers, bike snacks (waffles and shot blocks,) patch kits, and saddle bags galore! He has repaired bikes for me to "recycle" - bicycles damaged by vandals and abandoned for sale by the city and Univ of South Dakota as "Surplus" for my own use and to loan to international students studying at USD. I considered the prices reasonable and less than other bike stores. I've bought bikes for my kids and for my wife and I. I will also buy my next bike from him as I prepare for longer rides such as RAGBRAI.

Chatted with John and the owner Peter (both genuinely solid dudes) about snowboarding, gear we love and gear we don't, with zero sales pressure. Just honest and real rider to rider conversation. The customer service was so good I brought my whole setup in to have it looked over after some upgrades I made. No upselling, no BS just real feedback, genuine care and knowledge. I also watched them help another customer get into a more fitting board for them, not just letting the customer get what they thought they needed. That says everything They listen, they educate and they give you the best deal they can while making sure you're riding safely and correctly. Beginner or experienced, it doesn't matter. They'll fit your boots, dial in your setup, and make sure your gear is safe and enhancing your ride experience. I also bring my mountain/road bikes here for tune-ups and the experience is always top notch. This is what a local shop should be and the kind we need to support more. Fair pricing, and they delivered the bikes to our hotel (we didn't have a car). The owner made sure everything worked out for us, adjusted the seats, ect. I initially brought my bike in for Erik's to install new shifter cables in early Summer. After…read morethree trips and me explaining over and over how the shifter was supposed to work, they agreed to replace the shifter they broke when initially replacing the cables. IT WAS TECHNICALLY FUNCTIONING when I got it back after the fourth trip to the shop. However, the shifter they replaced did not have the heads-up indicator like the original one they broke. I spent 30 minutes online and found a brand new-in-box, original Shimano Deore Rapid Fire shifter with the heads-up indicator for $49. I am not a qualified bike mechanic. It took me 45 minutes to install and adjust the correct shifter. It's now back to where it was before I brought it earlier this Summer. I can't understand why I paid $380 for new cables and labor when an entire new shifter component is inexpensive. To claim that much in labor fees and make me come back four times is inexcusable. And in the end, I finally fixed it myself. Thanks for trying, Lucas, but I cannot change my opinion of the services I received at the Sioux Falls store. Not good at all.

Repair situation is great. In my experience, most repairs have been quick enough to take care of while you wait, which is completely unknown in my previous experience of bike shops. (I'm sure some repairs don't allow this, but it's never come up for me so far.) It's right downtown, which I mention only because it would be a pain to have to ride my bike to a part of town that isn't all that bike friendly. Pricing for repairs is also reasonable and in some cases they've simply not charged me. Hope to never be back! (hahahaha) but if I do, I know there's a reliable repair shop close to my house.
