Good thing my glass item was inside a bubble tube as I call it. I don't know where they get these unprofessional folks from. I heard it hit the garage when it was dropped. Wouldn't even bother to put it by the door. She was too busy running her mouth on that phone. Please do better. But my regular weekly folks are doing so much better!! US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Macon, Georgia

I want to highlight a very special postwoman/lady name Mrs. Charlie Jackson who drives truck # 32. I moved her from Alaska about two years ago back and forth, changed my address a few times. That can be confusing. I went from one unit to another, same complex apartment though. Every time she made sure, I had my mail even when it went to the wrong apartment by other reps. She provides outstanding customer service by going above and beyond what's expected, consistently. I have NEVER in my 50 plus years receive stellar service she provides. The mail flow is definitely off when she doesn't work. Mrs. Jackson carries the biggest and friendliest smile like every time you see her even in extreme weather conditions when it's very hot or very cold. Our mail never gets mixed up when she is on duty. The holiday seasons makes me nervous as theft increases but when she is working it's never been an issue. She pays close attention to details and knows her customers. This is useful when our mail gets mixed up when she is off. The way she goes up and down these stairs is also impressive. Before I moved back to Alaska, I wanted to say thank you ma'am for being as amazing as you have been consistently for the past two years of me living here. You absolutely feel like family to us. My kids and I had at one time three different units and she knew them all and aways made sure we had our mail/packages when mixed up. Thank you and you will be greatly missed. read more

Awful service impresión at first visit, I recently moved out of state and wanted to open a box I have a U.S. driver license non state but valid U.S driver license obviously and the attendant said to me that that was not acceptable that I should have a State Driver license, in the application it said clear that any valid ID contain a photograph is accepted do not said specifically that needs to be a State ID , as soon if is valid either she is not well trained doing her job or there is something wrong about it,I had a box in a different state for so many years never had an issue with that when I opened the first time and I was also new in that State,Terrible service in this specific Macon location :( read more

This location is not very helpful at all. When I try to call to speak with someone, during normal business days and hours, their automated system tells me it is out of business hours! I asked them to hold a package for me that was going to be sent to the wrong address but instead they sent it back to the company that shipped it. Very dissatisfied. read more

Only been living in the area for about a year and never had so many issues with mail as I have had with this branch. We have received notices that we need to move our mailbox because it wasn't meeting regulations even though we have been receiving mail for months! The first time, they claimed it was because the previous owner had a medical condition and had the box moved up our hill close to the house even though we have spoken with the previous owner and she told us she had it moved because the mail carrier then thought traffic on our road was too dangerous. Move the mailbox down the road and placed it at the end of our driveway before the sidewalk. Chose this location because many other homes have the same setup. Now we have to move it again because the carrier thinks it's too far from the street! Went to the postal branch to figure out exactly where I can put the mailbox that won't cause another move notice. They didn't have an answer and I asked if they have a copy of guidelines or something I can use so I will be in compliance. Nothing. Then I had to wait about 30 minutes to finally see a supervisor who took my number down and told me that they would give me a call back early afternoon to help. This wasn't the first time I heard this. The previous time, I had to go back to follow up. I had to do the same again this time too! When we went back, we were told that the situation is basically out of their hands and the postmaster is the one who was making the inspection and recommendations. We knew that couldn't be true because the signature on our notice is not the same as the postmaster, Lequish Jackson. On top of that, I called the main post office in town to confirm that the carrier makes the inspection and recommendations. Needless to say, the mailbox will be moved yet again but I can no longer trust the workers of this branch. Not to mention packages not being delivered, envelopes with the words "DO NOT BEND" being crammed into our mailbox, and we are still receiving other people's mail on a regular basis. read more

Has held my package for 5 days even though the tracking said it was to be delivered two days ago. Will never use this post office
