What is going on at this place??? I have lived in Maple Valley now for seven months. No matter where I have lived before. I have never had problems with postal deliveries. That has all changed. In a short period of time. By mail, tracking software, shows packages and mail delivered on a daily basis, but that is far from the truth. For example, I am showing that two packages were delivered earlier this week. Yes, you guessed it. They are nowhere to be found. Local media has been alerted to this and has even done a story recently. The back room of the post office is packed wall-to-wall with packages that have not yet been delivered. Good thing it's not the holiday season when people count on things they bought being delivered. SMH. read more

This is my favorite post office, actually. The line is typically short and the employees are friendly and efficient. Not sure why the other reviews are so negative. A neighboring town's post office always has long lines which move at a glacial pace. read more

Since we moved to Maple Valley, our mail has regularly been lost, late, or not delivered at all. The actual workers who I've interacted with have always been kind and helpful, but the mail delivery as a whole is awful. On the days when our mail does get delivered, it regularly goes to our neighbors, or we get their mail. Our mail also NEVER gets delivered before 7:00 pm. So disappointing. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I have a medical tremor and could not write the address on my package, but they refused to write the address on the package for me and told me that I need to come back with it complete before they would send it. read more

I have mailed two cards out from the Maple Valley post office one in October to Indianapolis and one a few days ago to Maple Valley both cards had $25 in them and both cards never made it to the recipients. Pretty suspicious to me. I will no longer be mailing cards from this post office. read more

This post office has gotten really bad. We haven't had our meal delivered for over a week now every time I go down there mailbox is empty. I normally get at least one piece every day today the mailman stopped down there because one of our neighbors was shoveling the road down there and he handed him his and just continued on and didn't deliver anybody else's mail. It is icy out there, but he had chains on could easily have gotten to the mailbox. It was right there. I'm very disappointed with this mail post office at this time I don't know what's going on but they're very very poor deliveries and maybe it's just this mail carrier but he's doing a really lousy job. read more

Something is seriously wrong with this post office. I usually have packages delivered to my office, since we have a locked parcel box for packages. Tracked items will say "delivered in parcel locker" but then when the locker is checked, there's nothing in there. Calling the post office does no good, as the line will ring endlessly and there's no voicemail option, at all. If you go down to the post office to inquire about the package, the line to see someone is often out the door. read more

Some days I get mail most days I don't from this post office. Can't rely on getting medication through mail anymore cause who knows if and when I get it. Ive sent out gift card to people who never receive them. I've watched video footage on my Ring of postal workers just throwing/dropping packages on my porch that are labeled "fragile ". I sold an item on eBay. I have photo evidence that the package made it to the destination address and was scanned and termed "address undeliverable or rejected". Since this time the tracker information has been removed. The tracker now shows the package stopped at Federal Way not making it to Maple Valley. I have submitted multiple inquiries into this. Maple Valley according to every level of USPS employee all the way up to consumer affairs is the only office that can investigate this. The buyer on eBay even told me in a message that I'm not getting the package back l. Obviously he knows someone at this office high enough that they can edit the tracker and USPS is corrupt enough to only let the destination post office be the only one to investigate. Each investigation inquiry was simply closed, no notes, no phone call, no email and no other department right on up to consumer affairs is able to investigate. Obviously this is mail fraud and USPS is not willing to do anything about it. Take your business elsewhere besides USPS if you want your package to be handled properly read more

My only issue with this ups is how they will not deliver to certain mailboxes that a park is parked like a foot from ... my neighbor gets so mad at anyone that parks near his mailbox for this reason. It's pretty ridiculous how hey won't drop the mail off when a car isn't even directly in front of the mailbox read more

Maple Valley Post Office is a wonderful convenience for the locals. The facility itself has little to offer other than good access to post office boxes. If there is any hint of a line I come back later as there is typically one service attendant working and the space for the line is minimal. There is one spot inside this area which has a tabletop to put the final touches on the packages if needed, but they have minimal supplies and resources to purchase. Really this location is about convenience not service though the staff is very friendly and appear to work hard to keep the wait to a minimum. For a more personal touch and something for the kids, go to the Ravensdale USPS. It is superior in nearly every way. read more

I'm in quite a bit sending packages out and always receive helpfull and friendly service from the postal workers here. I've even been in on really busy days, and considering some inpatient customers, I haven't once seen them break away from speaking civil with everyone. read more

Very rude. I waited on the UPSP phone call to never speak with someone. Called USPS to get information about a package pick up. The lady I go on the phone was extremely rude. I offered to give her my confirmation number. She was rude about that and said I don't need your confirmation number. Asked me for my name and address. Told me that I needed a priority pick up- but I had a confirmation number. She left me on hold came back and said, "She will be there!" Very frustrating dealing with USPS. read more

This is the worst post office I have ever had to deal with. Our postal worker refuses to deliver our packages even though her predecessor never had an issue and the manager here, Bruce, is passive aggressive and said he "doesn't care if UPS and Fed Ex can do it, it's not his problem." He also said he would come out to assess our driveway and never did even though HIS predecessor said our driveway was fine. Avoid this post office if you can! read more

Sooooo disappointing that once again government workers get a bad rap because the workers at the Maple Valley USPS are SO slow, lazy and rude. I have been in there more than 50 times and have never seen anyone smile or greet a customer with a cordial word. They move at a snails pace and if you ask them a question about anything, their initial response is to decline to help. For example, 'I would like to rent a PO Box' ... 'We don't have any available, check back in a few months' ... Then, 2 days later, ask someone else who works there and you will get a box. They are too lazy to check!! Awful customer service, poor leadership and a shame that our tax dollars pay for it! read more

i recently mailed two different packages to maple valley. neither got delivered to the address because the incompetent mail person supposedly didn't see a last name on the package, and refused to just deliver it. i find this absolutely absurd. you only have to put a return address on mail. to top that off, i called this incompetent post office to figure out what was going on. when reading off the tracking numbers to the fist person i spoke to, we realized that the exact same tracking number was given to each package. im not even sure why that's a problem. they were both going to the same address! anyways, the guy i was speaking to basically said there was no way for them to find it there... eventually i called back to ask about whether they could use either the shipping id# or the package id# to locate the package, and the guy was a complete prick. basically telling me i was wrong about saying there were two different packages going to the same address but had the same tracking number. i ended up asking for a supervisor as this guy was a condescending jerk the entire call. he talked all over me, gave me attitude, and was just flat out rude. well, when i asked for the supervisor, he said he was the post master of that office. well isn't that great? it's his i work for the government and i can treat people like trash if i want to pass... if there is any way for someone to report that prick, i hope someone does, because the way i was treated was inexcusable, and now a package is just gone... read more

I am sending packages every week and this is my favorite PO. The staff is friendly and efficent. Even during Christmas rush with a line out of the door I have never waited longer than 15 minutes until I am done and out of the door. Yes, I have timed it, many times, I am weird that way.
